I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell (This came to the PlayStation Network one week prior to its DVD release), and The Hurt Locker are now available. Also, check out the newly released feature collection – Girls That Kick Butt. Finally, we’ve added a new category, Just Reduced Movies, to the Video Store under New Releases. This category will give you a chance to know when a recently released movie title has made a permanent price drop – so it’s now available starting at $2.99 to rent, and $9.99 to own. Most the movies featured in this category are still pretty recent titles, and are now available at bargain prices. Check this new category often – it will be updated weekly with the latest price drops.

Again no love for the PSP Go. Still waiting for a ton more DD versions of UMD games. Can we at least get an update on what’s planned?
Has the DRM been fixed? With SONY expecting to roll out PSN to multiple non PS platforms like BD playes, VAIO and Bravia TVs I STRONGLY suggest you find a way to start tying my content to my PSN ID and not to the darn machine.
For owners of mulitple PS3 (such as myself) I can’t watch my BOUGHT content on the PS3 of my choice?
For owners of borked PS3…you’ll be stuck begging SONY to allow you a redownload.

Nice work on price drops for the PSN video selection. Unfortunately, thanks to you, I have been giving my money to Netflix to rent movies. At some point, PS3 owners would like something that noone but PS3 owners can get.
Not a fan of the video store and how content is provided.
Inglorious Basterds for instance. Cant rent it still, and can only buy SD. Some movies you can only rent in SD, but can buy both, or some uncut versions are only SD but regular theatrical is HD.
It is really annoying, and pushes me away from renting more often or I would.
I’m not sure if you can rent it on the PS3 video store but regardless I highly recommend renting the new release Moon starring Sam Rockwell. Watch it. One of the best reviewed movies of 2009!

Just a general question over PSP copies within Canada.
From what I’ve gathered, the PS video store(where the unlock is accessed) is needed for it to be transferred. Unfortunately plans currently remain unannounced regarding if the store will be added.
Would one of the managers who reads this blog please take some manner of action regarding this?
I was surprised to see the PSP copy advertised on my blu-ray case and am a bit disappointed regarding this potential advertising miss-step.
hey there sony, man i really want to watch movies and stuff on my ps3 i mean i bought one for the whole experiance and not for a weak demo like experiance on PSN. I currently reside in Canada, and the video store is not avalible here yet advertisement here in canada for the ps3 are the same here as it is in the US, if the system can actually do everything.. do you mind “kindly” asking it when the HELL am i going to be able to watch my tv shoes and movie on my PS3. man i understand your doing everything you can to bring it here to canada but, i and my fellow canadians would be very very gratefull if we were notified about the status of video store in canada and if Sony is actually bringing it internationnaly… i mean there is a lot of money and i do realize the CRTC is a pain the noggin but still an update would be very helpfull guys at least think about it and give us a responce, anything, to let us know we are not left out in the rain or falling on deaf ears.
