Over last month’s holiday break, I vowed to do something I failed to do in 2006 – complete Final Fantasy XII. Well, a month+ of hard work later, the deed is done (as of 10am this morning). I feel like a haze (mist?) has lifted, as I haven’t played anything else in the interim, let alone watch TV or see any movies. Did I miss anything?

The timing is good – MAG deploys Tuesday, with White Knight Chronicles the week after. And of course, I’ll be able to tackle Final Fantasy XIII with a clear conscience in March.

    Jeff, did you like FFXII? I loved it and I keep hearing that White Knight Chronicles is basically in the same style, which means I’m far more interested in that game than FFXIII…

    great week, as always it seems nowdays;)

    forgive me, idk if this has ever really been cleared, if it has im sorry for bugging you. but will we ever see the GTA IV dlc on ps3? im such a huge fan, and it would be great for me to just get a confirmation, even if it is negative. i saw the one link with the answers from rockstar, so i thought i could ask.

    plis jeff,. is it still out in the open, like the former playstation EU-boss said. or is it a definite no?

    hey i must ask wats up wit the gow 3 release dates ehh? blockbuster says march 9th (highly doubt that one) and gamestop says march 16th which one is the right date!!!!!!! plz its drivin me and the rest of the states crazy!!!!!!!!!!

    i bet the reviews will be last minute because there scared MAG will be an epic fail like socom confrontation

      Well, I\’ll go ahead and disagree with you there.

      Reviews can\’t be written until the game is actually out. I mean, you can\’t pass pre-release judgment on a game whose major, industry-leading feature (256 players in a single battle) can\’t be tested until release day.

    glad that you finished the game.the game was somewhat easy overall with the exception of the optional bosses and of course the final boss.hey, jeff did you ever got your hands in to the zodiac spear? i tried my best but i never could get my hands on that because i opened certain treasure earlier that i shouldnt have…in any case,i’m pumped up for wkc.btw, i heard a rumor online that DLC will be free?? hope its true :0

    anyways, any surprises in store for this upcoming week?

      The Japanese DLC from WKC will be on-disc here in North America (and Europe), plus a few added features like voice chat.

      No, I didn\’t get the Zodiac Spear – opened a treasure chest in Rabanastre. They made that hard to get, didn\’t they?

    Please. FFXIII will get reviewed base on the name (Final Fantasy) rather than the content. You take away the FF name from FFXIII, and you have a game that very few cares about. WKC is offering a lot more, but will get overshadowed by FF because it FF and not a quality game.

    Good week…. Now anounce that:

    1. Hustle Kings come tyhis week

    2. Not mess up the DLC for Assassin’s Creed this week

    3. That eventually you will post on February 11th the Heavy Rain demo announced, if not I will have to get it from Europe store

    4. Put more PS1 classic and I mean real classics to the store.

    5. And called Tom Fulp to see if the Castle Crashers is no BS since the ESRB hasn’t list it as a PS3 game.

    I already Pre-Ordered my Yakuza 3 from Gamestop, but thanks for posting that link to let others know. Sega needs to come here to the psblog more often, I canceled my day 1 purchase of Final Fantasy XIII for them, it’s the least they could do.

      I personally don\’t like to play things before they\’re 100% done. I played through LBP several times pre release, and when everyone was enjoying it at the holidays, I had seen it all before, albeit at an unpolished state.

      Enjoying things in a together is the way to go.

      Anyways, to answer your question, I\’ve seen most the first level. It\’ll be worth the wait :-)

    The new footage, it was supposed to come out, but was delayed. Or wait are we even getting it at all? you know the gameplay that the screenshots are showing off.

      No video was never announced, so
      no video was ever delayed.

      The impressions were embargoed along with the screens. You should\’ve seen them in several places by now (we linked to some above).

    Hey Jeff. Hopefully sony santa monica doesnt release to many spoilers for GoW3 like they did for GoW 2. i cant resist looking at the stories but i regretted it so much for gow2. like having all the weapons revealed early and showing the barbarian guy coming back as a boss. and a whole bunch more that i cant think of. please mark them as spoilers in the beginning of the article if there is any.

    hey Jeff,I just want to know if they are still working on additions to the PSN part of the playstation site, like will we get things like profile pages or something soon for our PSN accounts?

    also, when I try to view my trophies on the US site, it asks me to log in when I already am and when I do it redirects me to the home page. So then I have to log out and log back in and then it will work, hopefully ou guys can fix this.

    I think people are expecting video of God of War III based on comments made on other gaming website. As much as I’m a God of War fan and can’t wait to get my hands on it, I really don’t want to be spoiled by seeing videos beforehand. It kills the anticipation and enjoyment a game once you start playing it and you come across screens which you’ve already seen. Developers spend a lot of time creating these games and want to make sure we get the most out of their visions. Fret not Playstation Nation, March will be here soon enough.

      1) No, but I haven\’t talked to The Behemoth since, I believe, TGS.

      2) Tough question, but probably FF X, followed by FF VII, FF VI, FF Tactics (PS1), FF VIII, and FF XII.

    I would like to stress that I’m having really trouble trying to acces to the blog. Since the servers were changed, I nearly cant acces to this blog, at any given time. Even now, I last for about 10 min to this page to display.

    Im using Firefox 3.5.7. I havent tried on another web browser since this is my only browser I usually use.

    hey jeff looks as if you have your hands full. we are all looking for new info. we all hope we get that new gaming fullfilment a new game brings. now MAG that is my kind of game now the beta was good people. but as i read i knew it was a vague impression of the true full reliese. you will hear aBout Mag in a few weeks. trust me its a milestone in history. a start to many new bigger more intense games. thinking of that Jeff do you think your pedasessor in 2030 when MAG 4 the new milestone game of 2560 players is being reliesed will have as many games to look into and post about or as i think it will be worse. more games post. hmmm lets send ratchet and clank in the future to find out. lol

    Thats a pretty low blow Jeff, you told us in a video interview back in December that you just saw some new video footage and we will be seeing it in January. I know its not your fault and your just covering for sony, but im not that dumb :)

    If God of War III isn’t done yet they better get done soon, i mean manufacturing the Ultimate Edition and Regular Edition has to take pretty long and making sure everything’s ok. I hope we hear about it before the end of January or at least the first week of February.
