Pre-Order MLB 10: The Show and Get Free Classic Stadiums

MLB 10 The Show Box Art Revealed

The Show is all about bringing all the big moments in baseball to life, and the pre-order program is something we are really excited about. Pre-order the PS3 version of MLB 10: The Show at any of these retailers — Amazon, Best Buy, Game Crazy or GameStop — and get a “6-Pack” of Classic Stadiums at no additional charge. These stadiums are some of the most famous in Major League Baseball history, so the team down in San Diego has spent a great deal of time making sure each stadium is to exact specifications. So when the game launches on March 2, punch in the voucher code on your PS3 and you’ll be able to play on the same fields as some of the all-time greats.

*Stadium Pack not available for PS2 or PSP systems. (follow the links to pre-order the PS2 or PSP versions)

MLB 10: The Show Shibe

Shibe Park – When it opened April 12, 1909 in Philadelphia, it became the first steel-and-concrete stadium in Major League Baseball history.

MLB 10: The Show Forbes

Forbes Field – Opened in 1909, it was home to the Pittsburgh Pirates and was witness to a World Series-winning 9th inning homerun in 1960.

MLB 10: The Show POLO GROUNDS

Polo Grounds – Opened in 1890, it was known for its extremely deep center field (483 ft) and unique bathtub shape. The “Shot Heard Around the World” homerun was hit here.

MLB 10: The Show Crosley

Crosley Field – Was a Major League ballpark located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was the home field of the National League Cincinnati Reds from 1912 through June 24, 1970.

MLB 10: The Show Sportsman

Sportsman’s Park – Was built in St. Louis in 1902. Left-handed power hitters loved hitting here, including a Hall of Famer who hit two epic homeruns on consecutive days, shattering the same window in the car dealership across the street twice!

MLB 10: The Show Griffith

Griffith Stadium – Stood in Washington, D.C. from 1911 to 1965. Not only was it was over 400 feet down the left field line, the outfield took an unusual right-angled jut into center field due to the unwillingness of nearby houses to sell to the ballclub during construction of the stadium.

Dear SCEA team,

I’m a big baseball fan living in France, and since I got a PS3 the past year, I’m really looking forward to getting MLB 10 The Show.

However, the retailers you list don’t ship games in France (“item can be shipped only within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses”).

I’d love to buy the game and even pre-order it, especially for Sportman’s Park since I’m a huge Cardinals fan. Could you please advise international fans on how to pre-order and buy the game please ?

Could you also tell us if international fans will also get an email with the code for the free DLC, and how that will precisely work ?

Best regards,

So is the PSP version going to have umpires in it? (For that matter, be more than just a roster update?)

58

+ EnigmaNemesis on January 25th, 2010 at 4:15 pm said:

@57

No umpires. There is not enough memory or storage space on the UMD to include everything without sacrifices that would be crucial to the gameplay/animations etc.

Will have to wait for the PSP2 I assume.

What about more classic jersey’s? If anyone knows anything about St. Louis Cardinal Baseball knows that in the 80’s them and a couple of other teams had baby blue jerseys. I was shocked that the Cardinals didnt have this or any of their other throwback jerseys in the game when a lot of the other teams did have a few variations. Are their going to be more throwbacks? Hope so!

I’m a little upset that I have to buy from one of these companies for the stadiums. I normally buy from the store my friend works at (GamePlay).

I have no problem with pre-ordering, but I shouldn’t be forced to buy from any specific stores to get the additional content.

Thanks for asking. Old Yankee, Shea stadium and the Metrodome will be in all 3 versions. Classic stadiums are in the PS2 version too, not PSP.

Will we please be able to choose one of the classic stadiums to play in as our home stadium in franchise? I want to pick a team then polo grounds to play in during my franchise. Otherwise i think classic stadiums are almost a waste. So pleas let us do so. Please.

Also can we please get the game easier? i did not like 08 and 09 because they are way too hard. i get barely any runs and hits and specially hr even with all stats boost to 100% and sliders maxed. i still prefer 07 the show for this reason alone. it is easier to play. so please make the game in mlb 10 the show easier then 09 and 08. please.

I dont understand why people complain so much about having to preorder the game when they are GIVING THE DLC TO US FOR FREE!! I guess you complainers dont read the fine print very well. . .even thought its the topics title. MLB The Show is probably my favorite sports franchise. . .Probably beats out ncaa football just cuz the game is majorly broken. Keep up the good work guys and i cant wait for the demo. Ill be preordering it here in a few days.

P.S. Please make a college football game. . .I dont believe there is a liscense for college games cuz its not legal so please for how you guys make mlb the show. . .no doubt in my mind you guys would make a better game that EA.

I have no problem at all with pre-ordering to have the vintage stadiums unlocked. If you intended to buy the game anyway, what’s the big deal?

I would gladly pay for any DLC stadium pack that included Tiger Stadium. Great memories there…

I’d gladly pay for more classic stadiums if they were made available during the season. Any plans on making Old Comiskey, Ebbets Field, Classic Yankee Stadium, Classic Wrigley Field or any others?
