Over the past few weeks, we’ve received tons of requests from you in-world, via Blog comments and in the official PlayStation Home forums. You’ve asked for more Star Wars and Indiana Jones offerings in the recently-opened Lucas Arts store. You’ve asked for us to bring over the Irem Seaside of Memories public space. You’ve asked for more dazzling personal spaces in tropical locales. So we’re bringing these things (and more) to you, the loyal PlayStation Home community tomorrow, March 4. Want more info? Read on, my friends…

You asked for more lightsabers – you got ‘em! You wanted more costumes, like the Dark Lord’s armor Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? Or maybe you want to dress up like a Clone Trooper? As a hardcore Indiana Jones fan, you might want Mutt Williams’ gear or a Crystal Skull for your personal space. That’s why our friends over at LucasArts are stocking the shelves with tons of hot new items this week (as well as dropping a Yoda Fountain in Central that answers all of your pressing questions). Here’s a taste of what to expect come Thursday morning.

This serene oceanfront locale is the perfect place to catch some sun, take a swim, and just chill out with your friends. In these short winter days it oftentimes feels like you can never have too much sun…or too much fun. And that’s precisely why we have decided to release two new additions to our luxury personal space line. These two spaces – a beautiful Santorini-based seaside mansion and a wave-faring Yacht – are the textbook definition of opulence and affluence. Since these dazzling new spaces complement one another perfectly, we’ll be bundling them together at a reduced price of $7.99 (they will also be available for $4.99 separately). Look at the pics to get a better look at these fantastic new personal spaces.

We’re also releasing a new The Tester commemorative item, pictured below. In addition to The Tester footage, you’ll find new footage from this here Blog, including videos relating to BioShock 2 and Final Fantasy XIII.

  • Excellent. Can we get more female hair options? Thanks.

  • AWESOME

  • Awesome update! As much as I love tropical locales, can we get more city personal spaces too?

  • Glad to see you addressed the 6. WINNER LIST questions from Zombieland Contest.

    Great Post!

  • Thanks for the beach :)

  • Yoda Foutain?

OMG I need to go on Home tomorrow!

  • Trophy Room?

  • Are we ever going to get Demon’s Souls armors?

Japan Home has gotten them for a year now. I’ve been waiting since i saw them back then. I don’t see how it’s a problem for them to make something that’s been released for that long here.

  • Nice update!

  • I have suggested Hustle Kings content for Home
In the North to devs and the Home team American boards but it was delivered in the UK (Out of my reach) I thought that was unfair.

  • I’ve heard about the Irem seaside beach even before this was announced. I think this is where for the first time, your character can actually swim. This is kind of cool for most of us. 5/5 A+, Sony. Thank you.

  • Great to see a personal space that you can swim around a bit! I want a personal space that is a big Island that you can explore and funny exiting challenges around it. Some inspired from great adventure movies.

btw. My idea that I wrote a while ago about people be able to challenge each other in open spaces would be cool to be implemented! Like you buy a Star wars challenge pack and then you could challenge other that have the same pack. Cool light saber duels and ppl could start betting on how that will win.

  • I want those two fantastic looking apartments! :-)

  • woo hoo, more virtual junk to not spend money on.

  • YESSS! more star wars stuff!!!

now we need psn avatars and we are good!

  • Does the Yacht actually move? Anyway It looks pretty cool.

  • For LucasArts:
Mando armor- individual Boba, Jango, and Starkiller mix-n-match parts.
    Han Solo parts
    X-Wing pilot parts

    For SCEA:
    Kratos costumes, parts, and accessories

  • i was disappointed with the planetland space – not a single room! i could’ve put that $4.99 tag price on the clock tower! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! HAVE A PREVIEW OPTION OF THE PERSONAL SPACES!

    now i’m stuck with it!

  • Do you know if/when we’ll get the updates to the Irem Festival space like the fish game and additional shooting gallery prizes? I am glad we are getting the Seaside of Memories space, definitely checking it out ASAP tomorrow.

  • now that we gots Sea Side of Memories can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get the school uniforms and bunny girl outfits from IREM?

  • Thanks for finally bringing Seaside of Memories to NA! *packs a suitcase full of bikinis* I’m so excited!

Great move bundling the 2 personal spaces together too! I hope they’re each big enough to warrant the price, but at least seperately we can make better use of that pesky 50 item limit. Is there a door that connects them, like the ubiquitous doors to Central Plaza?

    Umm…now about LucasArts content…
I have a hard time believing ANYONE requested a Mutt Williams costume. Seriously! Everyone hated him! I hope there’s a slave Leia costume and Padme’s picnic dress in there too. We didn’t get a single female character last time! A yoda backpack like they sell at Disneyland would be awesome too. I also know the guys have been saying for 2 weeks that they’d love to be Darth Maul and Darth Vader…but no one asked for Mutt Williams!

  • Please, please, I’m begging you, tell me that we girls got *something* in the LucasArts store that’s actually feminine? Something that actually LOOKS like a woman? PLEASE! We girls are dying out here! We don’t want to look like a MALE Stormtrooper, we want to look like a woman! Star Wars and Indiana Jones have NO shortage of strong female characters in awesome, kick butt costumes. Leia’s classic white dress, Slave Leia from Jabba’s ship, her gorgeous white gown from the closing sequence of Return of the Jedi! Or what about Marion’s wardrobe? That blonde chick whose name I can never remember from Temple of Doom, she had an awesome outfit during her song & dance number at the opening of the movie! There are SO many great options, but yet again, Home seems to falling into the trap of completely and utterly forgetting about the female population in Home.
So I’m left to wonder. Is it Home Management’s fault? Or does George Lucas just not care for girls?
Please, please, I’m begging you, give us girls some good news. Please tell us that there will be some distinctly feminine costumes available in the LucasArts store come tomorrow.
    Thanks!

  • I really want the Dark Lord Starkiller armor. That was the main reason I got Force Unleashed-The Ultimate Sith edition. Lightsabers will wait till they reduce them far below $5. $5 for a virtual toy, isn’t worth it. I can find them for as cheap as $2 in real life.

  • i just pray to the GOD that they make the GOD OF WAR SPACE ..FUN.unlike the some of the other spaces we have with no mini games or anything special to keep us coming back to it :/ Im sure the HOME Dev team can impress us..RIGHT?

  • lol. seems pretty cool

  • I’m so glad we’re getting the seaside of memories, I’ve wanted to check it out for so long! Also I agree, I hope we get the other IREM clothes like school girl stuff…the swim suits and locations are a good sign though!

  • Glad to see the beach space! Any chance we’ll see interactions between avatars? At least between friends? I feel that would add a much more interactive experience to home.

Also any chance faster loading time could eb implemented? It take like 10 minutes for me to load home and almost equally as long to load items in the mall or my wardrobe.

  • i agree you hear this lucas arts no jar jar stuff, no jar jar any thing in your store lol

  • to lucas arts star wars living spaces like the mos isley cantina as a public or living space would be AWSOME AND (iam sure there coming ) c 3p0 and r2 d2 costumes

  • The ability to duel other people with lightsabers would be amazing, maybe even make it a mini game where you can gain levels as a jedi?

  • when the irem space came over to na home i knew we would get the seaside of memories space thank you also i collect the personal spaces i have all of them except mag and i will be getting the two new ones as well thanks for the update keep up the good work ardvark59 out

  • U.S. only stuff sux.

  • Wait, Early bird, aww man

  • Now, this looks sweet! No wonder Home is under maintenance right now! I can’t wait to see the new spaces!!

  • nice pic of the never heard of darth hideous!

  • Steeler-Nation69

awesome update keep up the good work

  • you guys are definately working hard and it shows.thank you!

  • Whats with the planes buzzing overhead?

Why not make a swimwear package?

I think it would of been cool for the yacht to be the one you look at from harbour studio.

  • Please give us the Mos Eisley Cantina as a public space. Please?

  • f jar jar in the a

  • I would really like to see earned Trophies as objects in Home. For me, that would give all these buy-able Home spaces a purpose and some value.

Maybe I’d be willing to invest a few bucks in Home if I thought it would be worth it. Right now, it still feels like an isolated experience. Maybe headset support in public areas would make it feel more immersive. And, yes, I know that would make it harder to control content(user language, etc.), but Home will never reach its full potential with communication being limited.

  • It was informed about the bundle on the apartments but i can’t seem to find where its located? is it in the Irem beach because i checked the Mall and the central plaza and still no bundle.

  • so are we actually going to get the content if we buy it…i was ripped off when i bought the star trek dac game and movie to get the content for home…ive even emailed sony and recieved a reply what two months ago…still no word….i dont know if id trust getting this content guys…seems like sonys going the way of microsoft…rob ya blind!
