God of War fans –

The day you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. At 12:00 a.m. tonight, Kratos will be invading a retailer near you as the widely anticipated God of War III will be hitting store shelves! For those looking to channel your inner Spartan warrior, check out GTTV Presents God of War III: Last Titan Standing on SPIKE TV at 11:38 p.m. In this 30 minute special, action adventure comes to life as 10 of the biggest God of War fans in America get pushed to the limits, both mentally and physically.

These die-hard disciples of Kratos must shave their heads on the spot to show their allegiance, climb out of the underworld, and know their God of War trivia, as asked by game director Stig Asmussen. And, above all else, prove their physical strength across epic challenges and gameplay ability in a battle against Hades from God of War III. In the end, only one titan will be left standing – the one who best embodies the characteristics of Kratos, the God of War.

And for those of you looking to be the first to get your hands on a copy of God of War III, we’ve teamed up with GameStop to host Midnight Launch Events at locations all around the country. Tonight, more than 3,500 stores nationwide will be welcoming Kratos faithful with various contests, challenges, and giveaways. Most participating GameStop locations will open at 10:00 p.m. local time, however, consumers should contact their local store to confirm the exact time of the event as they may vary by location.

GameCrazy and Best Buy are also holding midnight launch events. Click the corresponding links to find the nearest location.

      It’s actually a custom made PS3, the image of Kratos’ eye and the logo are laser etched on the unit, very cool.

    I thought Sony would have made a GOW3 bundle like the one in the picture. I would have bought it. But, now I got a 120gb ps3… I was waiting to see if Sony announced a bundle but they never did.

    I think it would have counter the FFXIII xbox bundle.

    AAA PS3 exclusive overload. Don’t know how kids and college students are managing to even pay for a tiny fraction of the flood of AAA PS3 exclusives that are coming from Sony.

    Easily spent 1000 bucks just on PS3 exclusives in just the last year alone.

    Never had this many AAA games in this short of time even on the might PS2 and its insane exclusive library.

    Just imagine how much you life would suck if you were dumb enough to buy a RRoDbox. Nothing but paid for DLC for mediocre third party crossplatform garbage and nothing to look forward to other than that ghey bunny hopping green power range Halo junk and that hilariously retarded Sony Eye motion control ripoff.

    Its like Christmas for me right now. I cannot believe God of War 3 is just hours away. Man, I am so excited. I preorder my Ultimate Edition and everything :) Too bad I will not receive my shipment until Wednesday from BestBuy online :(
    I think I can last one more day without God of War 3 :)

    Mine shipped from Futureshop today, will be in my mail box when I wake up tomorrow. Just finishing up GOW2 today (the Collection remaster is beautiful) and I’ll be all set. May squeeze in Chains of Olympus before bed.

    I applied for the spike tv thing and got a phone interview and they said I was seriously being considered… then never called back

    I would’ve loved to buy a bundle of the ultimate edition with that PS3, almost as big of a missed opportunity as the Uncharted 2 limited edition

    I have played the game during GOW3 GDC Media Event and i loved every minute of playing the final build. Kudos to Sony and Santa Monica Studios AND thanks for the awesome party! :)

    Im so pumped for this game, I’ve been driving the misses mad. Sadly I’ll be driving her mad for longer than I’d like. I was a winner in the Ultimate GOW fan contest announced her eon the blog, never received confirmation, and sadly I happened to move after I had already entered the contest. So doesn’t look like my chances are good to even receive the prize of the ultimate edition. At least I’m immortalized in the collectors edition. I just wish I could get my hands on it…..

    Just wanted to say I WON’T bet getting the game tonight. I was planning on my local GS having at least one or two extra ultimate additions (tried to preorder when Heavy Rain came out but they stopped taking orders for ’em) but alas I just called and they’re all out.

    HOWEVER, Amazon has a fresh supply so I did my free trial of Amazon Prime for free 2 day shipping. Not too bad I suppose. I still need to finish FFXIII anyways.

    I got the game at 12pm and I have been playing it since then (yes, 5 hours 45 minutes non stop) and OMG, best game EVER. Just the first hour or so is so Epic my eyes were bleeding and my heart went into shock..

    I’ve had to pick up my jaw from the floor like 50 times already, and I haven’t even beaten the second boss!

    EPIC!
