  • very nice update getting stuff for psp. thanks

  • Too bad there is no demo for Section 8. I’m interested in that. But for $29.99, I’m not so sure.

That aside, this is one heck of an update.

  • Yeah what everyone else is saying, where’s Blazblue? :(

  • I was pissed about the God of War Unearthing being included, I got the Ultimate Edition

  • Ya, like anybody is gonna buy Section 8. Wow.

  • Kudos on the butt load of content this week :)

  • I thought we were promised free avatars as well as pay ones. I know that because they have that awful word of “free” attached to them that they probably won’t be coming, but I wish they would get here. No demos this week, so nothing to note.

  • And anyone know where I can get a trophy list for Section 8, just so I can get an idea of the gameplay and modes?

  • Much better than last week’s update. Thanks

  • More lame avatars (Heavy Rain was also complete QTE fest garbage) being posted once a month. Why do you wait until the end of the month to post avatars from a game that came out a month before it!? On top of that, why not post more than avatars from 1 game if you’re going to do it once a month? Dynamic themes & avatars should be posted every week (at LEAST avatars anyways; seriously, how hard are they to make!?). This is just another very disappointing update & screw Section 8. They wanted to be a console exclusive to the other consoles and come crawling when people didn’t buy it. Well, i’m not picking up the leftovers (especially from a game that is now proven to suck).

  • I have a feeling that something is missing.

    *coughBlazBluecough*

  • Nice to see new avatars!! I know there is a Kratos one, but we need more GOW avatars!! Come on, this is the time to et everything GOW to celebrate to launch of this bad-ass title we call GOW 3!!

  • great update

  • No realy, this is revolting!
Whats up whit all that “Yeah, great work!” and “Great update!”
    IT’S NOT A GOOD UPDATE
And you wanna know why? Because sony made a freaking PSP Go whiteout the UMD, and as you would hope, psn would have a lot more games, but i doesn’t quite work this way.
PSN for psp user seems abandoned, while games keep coming out in UMD, psn cant keep up
They said 2 week, it have being 2 weeks and none of Balz Blue, and excellent game that i was eager for today since i was SURE that it was going out today
But i was wrong, and seeing people saying that this was a good update makes me more sad, because sony promises something, don’t keep her promises and there are people who actually say “good job”
I have a PSP 3000, and i regret that i din’t bought a 2000, because sony is almost asking me for piracy, and also im sorry for the ones who bought a Go, sony din’t think of you as they sold them

  • Anarchy: Rush Hour… a game I’ve never heard of with no demo or videos to go with it, great sell. And damn, putting “exclusive” God of War 3: Ultimate Edition content on PSN, glad I went with the standard edition. Ultimate Edition wasn’t worth it, and a video ain’t worth $6.

  • Finally! I was waiting for more DJ Hero DLC. I just bought it now and it’s installing. Can’t wait to mix some Jay Z & E.

    1

    – GTA

  • Great update Grace.

I think we’re in need of some demos.

  • YES!!!!!! the god of war documentary is up!!!!!!

  • Wait a minute… WHAT?!?!? LOL at those people who WASTED their money on God of War III: UE (Ultimate Edition) by securing God of War III: Unearthing The Legend… Oh my! That was supposed to be exclusive to UE ONLY… What is… Sony, excuse me, what IS F***ing wrong with you? Ha ha.

  • sweet HEAVY RAIN AVATARS!

  • Omg theres still quite a few idiots out there that cant be pleased no matter what sony does, whine complain, grow up , 8 pm update does not equal fail, nowhere is it written that an update is suppose to happen at any certain time, you live on the east coast somewhere so yes it is 8 pm, ummm check the time differences, where sony does the updates its only 5 pm. If i was an employee of sony i would purposly wait till friday at 11:59 pm west6 coast time to run the update just to teach you patience, more whining about update content, comeon people sony has the best games ot of any system already, so eventually all the stuff you may be waiting for will be available, so learn some patience and quit your complaining before sony gets tired of it all and does something drastic like micosuck and start charging to even get on the network. hmm now would that make you happy

  • Woow, thats an amazing update guys! thank you

  • @68 they actually paid the extra $40 on the box and skins + documentary… no LOL going on around here

  • and by box I mean Pandora’s box and I forgot to mention the art books and other stuff that came in

  • Blue toad bundle, section 8, and hamster ball..
    $60+ good update!

  • One more thing to add, I have The GOW 3 Ultimate Edition and God of War III: Unearthing the Legend is really awesome!! It is so well done, and I think so worth it for the people that did get a change to buy the Ultimate Edition. It’s about 70 mins of everything GOW!! The story behind the games, and Greek Mythology!

  • Can someone PLEASE explain to me why the US eye of judgment fans are being passed over AGAIN?

I was upset that we had to pay full UMD price for a game that in EVERY OTHER COUNTRY had exclusives. NOW I see that the US has been passed over COMPLETELY for the expansion, despite the fact that it was released IN ENGLISH across the pond earlier today, and in Japan and other Asian countries a WEEK ago.

This is unfair, there is a new on-line tournament starting TOMORROW, and every other country will have access to these cards. Great way to promote the US community.

I’m sorry if this seems harsh, but I am really pissed at this whole deal. please tell me that you guys just messed up and that you’ll fix it by tomorrow. Please give me some hope.

  • AGAIN I WILL ASK WHERE IS BLAZBLUE PORTABLE,Bunch of monkeys could run this thing better.

  • Glad to see games released for the psp and ps1 classics, but where are the games that we really want? This is how u celebrate the 5th aniversary of the psp where is crisis core and all the other games we want? Why is resistence, disidea, persona, soul caliber still $40 all of these games can be purchased on amazon umd for under $20. In fact resistence was $11 today. I was really hoping for a great 5th aniverary celebration with a great sale with perminent price drops, the missing legacy titles, and the mysteriously missing new titles. Please don’t keep on disappointing us week after week.

  • what is with one DC Comic tease?!?

All in all, a good store update.

  • You guys keep satisfying a small group of people at a time with avatars. Doesn’t the wii and 360 have custom avatars. This is so frustrating. There are so many things you guys can do with avatars why do you guys insist on irritating people. Dont you see where the avatar idea is at on playstation blog share.

  • Great update! Now I have a reason to spend some money blue toad is a buy so is Hamsterball and Wakeboarding. I love getting these types of games because it’s a nice break from playing hardcore games like God of War and Heavy Rain. Nice job!

  • Great Update Grace, no demos but a lot of content this week!! =)

  • I like how you can preview the the mega man theme in motion. Thanks for that. Waitin for it to load was kind of dumb since I’m tryin to stream it. However, even the steaming itself is horrible on ps3. I’m not too happy that I couldn’t preview the other themes, we used to before. Thanks for the Heavy Rain avatars. However, they are scary lookin or just plain ugly. Madison looks really really messed. Now if we could just get avatars for the games that scream must have avatar.

  • I don’t care that Sony is letting people buy/DL the GOW 3: Unearthing the Legend video. I have to Ultimate Edition, and I know people ill now be able to have the awesome looking Pandor’s Box, along with the book!! Also you are still saving with the UE.

Game is about $65.00 with tax (Los Angeles, California)
Now Sony is selling the Video for about $6.00

So we spent abuot $30 on a sweet looking box, and nice book with colorful photos, and a skin, with an extra challenge (which I know will later get released to public for maybe $6.00).

  • DEViLiSHWONDER67
Well if sony ever gets tired of doing updates, i will just sell my psp and buy a 2000 and pirate
Homebrews can be superior to the actual official firmware, but sony is stubborn
Also, im pretty sure sony could do better if they really want, and patience? and for how long my patience have to last?

  • Well, I really wanted Gunbird, but Cho Aniki Zero will definitely do for now. Thanks, folks.

  • Good update this week. Haven’t checked out the Heavy Rain avatars yet but I’m hoping there’s a “Jaaaaaassssoooonn” one. LoL.

  • LMAO @ Perfect Weapon! The game is so bad, that it’s good!! Epic Captain Blake with his horrible combos LOL. I love this game so much, because it’s so bad. I don’t ever want to hear anyone speak ill of another game, until you play this. At one point this set the bar for bad games. And then Bruce Willis/Apocalypse gave it a run for it’s money.

  • Phantasy Star Portable PLEASE!

  • No PS1 classic RPGs?

On the PS3 as a whole side, I just really can’t help but feel strung along by owning a PS3 on this “path to final hardware” garbage.

I understand Sony believes it is on some mythical path layed out and established back in the early turn of the century but the idea of an idea not being flexible doesn’t coexist with the global market today.

Adding bells and whistles here and there is not detouring from the path btw…

Just make the system what it is, quit trying to sell us stuff we already own by pretending the firmware updates you have havnt released are “recently developed” and haven’t been around since before you launched the PS3.

It’s all going to be really apparent when you eventually DO release PS2 software BC. Honestly, without any ill will I am super curious to see how you will handle telling your fans that you now magically have the means to implement a feature that should have been stock in all models of the PS3.

Anyways, much like the other 90% of your fans, I really want to love this system and not ask myself “Why do I own a PC AND a PS3?” The answer used to be kickass Japanese RPGs that were Playstation exlusive, if thats any hint on how to print money.

  • Isn’t the SFIV costume pack %50 off also?

  • Not to mention the SFIV costume pack is compatible with SSFIV.

  • No demos for the PS3 titles? No buy. Lose/Lose.

  • @iTofuMan

Unless we got the Arkham Asylum: The Road to Arkham

  • Section 8 is available in different lenguages.

    Spanish?:O

    good update SONY!

  • Outstanding update! Keep up the great work Sony!

  • heavy rain avatars and a mega man dynamic theme…awesome!!!

  • let me see blue toad , hmmmm. new avatar hummmm, god of war dlc hnnn, free mag dlc and yea… secter 8 looks like a halo ripped off so im getting it…. what else do i need let me see???? more blazblue, yakuza 3,disgaea 2,wkc dlc, yep butta good update thx.
