Hey! I am Yan Marchal, manager of Sanuk Games. As this is my first post here, a brief introduction is in order. Sanuk Games is a game studio based in Bangkok, and we’ve been working on various console games for a couple of years. We have already released two Minis, Spot The Differences and Telegraph Sudoku & Kakuro.

On Thursday, we are releasing an award-winning horror game in the PlayStation Minis format: Hysteria Project.

In Hysteria Project, YOU are the hero! Step into the shoes of the main character and take part in an unforgettable adventure! Will you make the right decisions and make it out in one piece?

Hysteria Project is a groundbreaking gaming experience where you are the hero of an entirely filmed adventure. Keep a sharp eye on what’s going on around you and make the right choices at the right time. Have you got the guts to be next on the list?

Hysteria Project for PlayStation Minis (PS3 and PSP)

The original version of Hysteria Project, released by Bulkypix, won the “Revelation 2009” Milthon award in Paris, and was praised by fans of new experiences and thrill-seekers. Levi Buchanan of IGN.com wrote: “Hysteria Project reminded me of those old FMV games I used to play on my SEGA CD as a guilty pleasure – but this one only cost me two bucks for the same level of enjoyment.”

Hysteria Project for PlayStation Minis (PS3 and PSP)

Hysteria Project is available this Thursday for PSP and PS3 for the price of $1.99. For more information about our games, please visit our website. And to get first-hand information about our future releases, please follow us on Facebook.

This is definitely going to be my first Mini. I’ve been rather addicted to trophies lately so I’ve been neglecting all the potentially good games out there that don’t feature the feature. However, with the release of this, I just can’t hold back. I MUST play this game. It looks so great. And for $1.99, hell, I’ll buy two (if that was possible). Still though, looks great and I can’t wait to play it! Thanks, Sanuk!

I’ve been looking forward to this. I enjoyed playing FMV games back in the day, so I can’t pass this up for $2. Now if only Night Trap would be re-released…

Getting it.

Looks awesome, minis have been a really great idea by Sony. If they released them with a trophy or two for playing through them, they would definitely sell like crazy. But I know they are wary of trophy support on the PSP.

Consider this bought. Horror devs are an endangered species and we must do what we can to keep these precious individuals alive.

Sony REALLY needs to upgrade the browser ASAP and reinstate Youtube. Can’t watch Yan’s Youtube link re. this game (I’m currently browsing and typing on my PS3). :(

+ DNAgent on April 19th, 2010 at 3:14 pm said:

I can watch youtube videos on my PS3. I’m not sure why some people are having problems. Try pressing Triangle & then go to Tools > Javascript > On. Usually I turn off Javascript so stuff loads faster but you need it to be on to watch youtube videos.

+ polo155 on April 19th, 2010 at 4:15 pm said:

im a get this, have a few minis on both ps3 and the pspgo

+ Thrill_Kill on April 19th, 2010 at 7:13 pm said:

Wow its about freaking time someone makes a FMV game on my new HD system! Please make more of these and if you release them on bluray (not as a mini game of coarse) I wouldn’t mind paying more. :) I like my hardcopys!

Anyways, thanks for the new FMV Horror game, and please do keep them coming! The day I bought my PS3 I was just imagining what LD games would be like on BluRay discs, and I hope of day to see something like Night Trap 2 or a Sewer Shark type sequel in 1080p in a near uncompressed full 16:9 widescreen state. That would just rock!.

Those old FMV games are just so much dang fun, so thank you!

+ Damien_Black on April 19th, 2010 at 8:00 pm said:

a definite buy for sure

This looks somewhat intriguing. How are the load times between the specific actions you can do or interact with? I know it is like or is an FMV game, but the popping up of the different actions to choose from could get annoying…especially if load times are slow. The game does look like it could get the player to feel a sense of terror or extreme tension emotionally…..being a horror game and all. It does look quite AWESOME though and the price is ridiculously cheap as well!!! I will put this on the top of my “If I have enough funds after my other purchases” list…..being that there will be plenty of good content to download this week…..we will see ! D
