MLB 10 The Show Predictions Begin This Week, First Up…The AL West

19 0

Baseball fans –

This week begins our divisional prediction series utilizing MLB 10 The Show to simulate the 2010 season. First up is the American League West… with the Angels, Rangers, Mariners, and A’s all vying for the top spot, the race for the AL West crown seems to be wide open. Ichiro has Seattle ready to claim their first division title since 2001 and if Griffey can bring back some magic from his past Mariner days, they just might have a shot. The Rangers are coming off their first winning season since 2004 and now adding Vlad Guerrero to an already stacked lineup (2nd most HRs in MLB in ’09), they will be a tough hurdle to overcome. Then there’s of course the Angels who have won the last three AL West titles. Torii Hunter anchors another solid lineup and with Scott Kazmir leading the way on the mound, they look poised to grab their fourth.

Here’s a look at our final AL West prediction video showing you which teams will come out on top in October according to MLB 10 The Show.

Welcome to The Show!

  • Will be interesting to see how close this comes to predicting the actual division races – not only the winning teams, but their win/loss records as well.

  • Hockey > Baseball.

  • I think the Mariners are still a year or two away, I think Texas definitely has the pieces to finally make some noise. It’s been a while for them.

  • Angels all the way, oh and its Justin Duchscherer not Jason.

  • No way the A’s are that bad this year, and I agree that Texas looks better than Seattle

  • its Justin Duchscherer not Jason

  • Kazmir isn’t the ace for the Angels. That’s Jered Weaver. In fact, right now Kazmir is the 5th best starter on the team. Maybe he’ll turn things around.

  • Lol….the A’s are the stupidest team in all of sports.

  • “the A’s are the stupidest team in all of sports”

Don’t you mean the cheapest? As in won’t spend money? Wait, I guess that’s the Marlins. The A’s are the cheapest team in the AL though.

  • Go Halos!!!!

  • I say Mariners take the division but on MLB the Show the Angels take it.

  • haha the A’s have won 9 world series and is 3rd,Cardinals have 10 and the Yankees are out of this world,im an A’s fan and we are playing great baseball right now, wait till Sheets and the Duch get it going, the A’s are winning without HR machine Jack Cust,Chavez is getting better and better

  • Don’t get too excited A’s fan. You know half your roster will be traded by the trade deadline.

  • Is this the first year for these MLB prediction? I don’t remember this last year. I’m looking for for the National League rankings.

  • Wonderful game I love it dearly, it still needs a patch. I’m not a fan of the AL west, but I’ll go with Seattle when Cliff Lee is healthy.

  • Rosters updates………….? every monday………….? i didnt know that, sounds great!!!

  • Your predictions don’t count unless you have fixed the hit and run glitch.
The Kid’s predictions: Your prediction doesn’t even cut mustard.

  • Will be interesting to see what the M’s can do now that Lee is scheduled to return in less than two weeks (May 2) and Bedard by the end of May. Similar to the Angels started 09 with pitchers on the DL. However, the 09 Angels had consistant hitting to carry them through until their pitching was healthy. The 2010 M’s still need some power production.

  • most people don’t realize the talent that the A’s have, wait to you hear of guys like Travis Buck,Daric Barton,Cliff Pennington,Gio Gonzalez and many more,Brett Anderson and Bailey are already pretty well know but you guys havent heard anything yet,oh but theres one thing i don’t like about the A’s,and thats their ballpark, sure its big for football games but for baseball only like 35,000 fit,i live in Oakland but if they get a new ballpark in Oakland or San Jose i would buy season tickets even if they suck
