  • great update, thanks grace

  • THe update was okay. I bought a couple of games but ultimately was really dissapointed with the psp side of things.

  • Oohhh…Hysteria Project. It look scary, but really cool for only $1.59. Can’t wait for PacMan Championship for PS3!

  • Any word on Lumines coming to the PSPGo? I would really love to play that game on the go as opposed to on my PS3

  • Oops, ment $1.99, but it still looks cool.

  • Hmm… Hyperballiod HD actually sounds pretty interesting. Might have to check that one out, especially and only 5 bucks.

Another disappointing Spring Fever sale however :(. Enough games with all these older games already.

  • *at only 5 bucks.. this thing really needs an edit feature.

  • Subjectively speaking, decent update. I’m still disappointed that so many psn games lack demos. Did anyone pick up Puzzle Chronicles and if so, impressions please.

Objectively speaking, awesome update. 4 games, couple of demos (LP2 demo), etc.

  • We need to have comics and movies in canada !! … its kinda bad to see all those updates without being able to use it :P

  • Grace let them know we want MORE PSP Store Updates. More PSP Games and everything else for the PSP. No wonder people pirate you don’t give us crap! They have to go to pirating instead of waiting 50 years for you to give us something… >.>

PS- I do not pirate lol but it’s very tempting at times…

  • another crappy update…
wow… among hundred of PSP games, and you gave us UNO????
    great minis though…

  • @Majin_Neo: Goto “L” section under PSP games.

@dojikyo: Just download the trial game and check out Puzzle Chronicles for yourself. Oh wait, sorry, wrong system.

It was nice though to test it out on the 360 before impulsively spending $30 for the PSP version.

  • Are we ever going to get some new avatars? I have .52$ ready to use in my account.

Btw why did Sony stop making free avatars? The last couple I remember being released were those lame Haze avatars.

  • Constructive Ideas:

Maybe a Blog about the difficulties involved in acquiring the ability/license to release actual PSone classics in the US.

A Blog that covers future releases or release goals. For example, if eventually it is a goal to get “insert PSone Classic or umd title” released on the US PSN, then tell us so that that game’s fans feel confident that Playstation is actively pursuing improvement.

  • That’s a very good idea. Explain just why it is we get things like XS games every week instead of things people actually want to buy. That would reduce much of the anger and direct many of the complaints to the third parties that refuse to put stuff up, away from poor Grace who gets a lot of undeserved flak.

  • That isn’t a PSone classic. It’s just some random old game no one cared about when it was new, and won’t buy now.

  • Gimme the NFL in HD and I’ll strongly consider signing up.

I have to admit, this is a pretty weak update aside from the Uncharted 2 DLC.

Still waiting on a progress update for Castle Crashers and Final Fantasy IX.

  • I’ll be going after R&CF:Quest for Booty sometime within the week. :)

  • Sony PS3…..It only does nothing.
It’s getting sad now. I think a team of drunk monkeys can put out better updates each week. People have been begging for new avatars, for actual Psone classics. You guys just don’t listen. Your arrogance and lack of respect for your consumer is appalling. What is Sony’s problem?!!! Gawd!!!

  • yawn….
    especially for Canadians

  • I still want to see Crash Team racing on the PSOne classic T_T
    I miss that game!

  • Grace what I want for PS one Classic is need for speed series :)?

  • there must be some kind of drastic change coming to the XMB Dashboard, not seeing any dynamic themes or avatars coming out anymore, something big is coming our way folks.

    NOT!!

  • Please please please release ps one classics that are actually good. Why do the japanese get all the good classics and we don’t?

  • sorry for triple posting but i just had an idea for the blog, it would be nice if i clicked on a fellow psn blogger’s name here on the blog and would link me to his/her psn profile with trophy info etc. and then from there maybe i can request to add him/her as a friend, compare trophies, post a message on his/her profile etc..

STOP MAKING.BELIEVE AND START MAKING THINGS HAPPEN!!
    ASAP!

  • Afterburner looks fun, and the Rock Band content this week is good (nice to see some Rock Band Network content made available). Still, PSOne remains awful – it’s like you guys scraped the bottom of the barrel, found a smaller barrel there, and started scraping the bottom of that.

  • is it just spam or are we gonna get 37 dollars for the ps store? i got a message that said some spam was goin around about paying to play games online. it said to send a message to 35 people saying that it isnt true and ps-network would give you 37 bucks in your ps store wallet. i just want to know if the money is real?

  • U2 DLC made my day, but i’m wondering where Lead and Gold is O_o.

  • I thought all Rock Band Network songs would be priced at $.99

  • Hm not a bad update I guess. Already been playing the Lost Planet 2 demo (early access) and it fun, and Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess! looks awesome. However can we get some actual PS1 classics? I still waiting for Vagrant Story to come here to NA PSN.>:(

  • Ok great and over the top update.

    Why? U2 DLC

And the most important of all, The Secret of Monkey Island, i already downloaded it ;D

Too bad i have left $5.59, so i’ll need to get another PSN card to get U2’s DLC but i’ll do it ;D

  • @113

To get these so-called PS1 “Classics” on the PSN, the following steps are required.

#1: Get legal documents saying that you are going to reproduce a copyrighted material for the purpose of distribution in a new format. This requires ALL parties from the original copyright to agree and consent for for this action.
Once completed and no one has been left out, they move on. Joe the dim witted janitor does not have to agree though, hes just there to change the toilet paper to triple-ply, because lets face it Kevin Butlers ass deserves the best.

#2: Get developers (not necessarily the originals) to go through the hundreds of thousands of lines of code, and test it out on the PS3’s PS1 emulation software, start debugging and making modifications when required, but otherwise try and keep as much of the original in tact.

#3: Drink beer, lots and lots of beer or other beverages that kill brain cells. (Kevin Butler has a cup/mug in every commercial…and…its not full of coffee, surprise surprise)

#4: Once the game works with a 95%+ rate of stability, the developers contact SCEA for their own testing to being. *crack the whip, enjoy your new job Cyrus, back to work ya dog*

  • #5: Once Sony is sure the PS1 game has not and will not cause the PS3 to catch fire or monkeys to stuff fecal matter in the USB ports, once the game has been approved, aka it amuses small minds that have few brain cells left and can still be sold at a premium price…a announcement will be made on these very blogs.

#6: Then the people who are actually going to pay money for the game are able to log into the blogs and voice their opinions from behind a BIG curtain in a little box (SCEA staff on the other side asking us for confession) *Forgive us Father for we have sinned. We have brought an abomination into this world that was better off dead, but we felt that resurrection was not just a divine gift but also a good marketing ploy, so here we are.*

#7: After people complain the game that was released was total and pure crap, Sony giggles in the background as a few thousand people actually buy it just to say they have them but never have any intention of playing them ever.

To get the real “Classics” on PSN is another matter, which is why they come so infrequently. Theres a little more Red Tape, and Kevin Butler gets to see if fecal mater will fit in the USB ports….but aside from that, its the same process.

  • we really need demos of these PSN titles.
im interested in giving some of the titles a play but im not about to piss away 10 bucks on something i may or may not like.
please add a small taster of all the psn games that way i know which titles i would enjoy so i can buy them.
oh, another thing encourage developers to release their iphone games as minis.
i downloaded jet cars on my Iphone yesterday and its honestly the best downloadable game i have ever played!
its so much fun maneuvering your car through obstacles, jumps, through flaming hoops and such!
the PSN really needs some good 2D platformers, bionic comando rearmed and mega man 10 are a good start but 2? come on you can do better than that!

  • It’s time for a big Avatars update..

  • Could we have some games for the PSP Go please? I’m about 1 update away from binning it.

At least The Tester gave me something to download every week, but I can watch that just as easily on my PS3.

Is there ANY news of upcoming PSN releases for PSP?

  • “Coheed & Cambria Pack 01 ($5.49) – Build your Rock Band library by purchasing this song game track pack: The Used Pack 01. This pack includes “Blood On My Hands,” “Born To Quit,” and “The Taste Of Ink” by The Used.”

The Used? Umm… what? Wasn’t that last week? Lol copy paste mishap? Should probably read:

Coheed & Cambria Pack 01. This pack includes “The Broken,” “Guns of Summer,” “Here We Are Juggernaut” by Coheed & Cambria.

  • how come i cant connect to ppl on the Lost Plant 2 MP? I have good connection. :'(

  • @#12 jvasq

It’s not a rumor, check episode 4/15 of PULSE (it’s at the very end of the episode).

  • E3 is just around the corner and maybe or maybe not Sony is throwing out hints of what there video store will be like. The MLBTV setup looks good but i would prefer to get a free trial to see what i am getting into. Also it would be great the next offering could be for NFL or even the soccer WorldCup. Its time PS3 showed its true power for video streaming.

    PSNID:stennex

  • Really excited that Monster (probably) stole my princess was released. I’m loving the whole psp minis.

  • What happened to lead and gold?

  • Ratchet & Clank Quest for Booty here I come!!!!

  • Why are there no action game sales for PSP? I can think of two – Dissidia and Resistanc: Retribution – which need price cuts. Why should PSPgo owners be forced to pay double the cost of a UMD?

Note to Sony, people aren’t buying them because they don’t want to be ripped off.

I’m not going to complain about the release titles this week. At least there is the Monster Princess mini. But, Sony still can’t figure out pricing for their titles.

Persona ($24 Amazon), Dissidia ($19 Amazon), Hot Shots Golf ($8 Toys R US). I’ll wait until these games come down in price or I will never play them. It’s Sony’s choice. Either they make a bunch of sales at $19 for Dissidia or they make no sales at $39. But, then again, Sony marketing hasn’t made a whole bunch of sense for a very long time.

  • i’m having trouble with hysteria project on psp, there are stripes in the image and the sound it’s ugly, on the ps3 works perfect…any hints?, somebody having the same problem?, i already download it 2 times and it keeps happening

  • is us getting a modnation racers demo

  • good update but seriously…. why does everyone get the U2 DLC before we do? all my friends over in the UK had U2 DLC like a whole day before we do…

  • Late to the party.. glad i waited for this dissapointing crap of an update.

See ya next thursday(tuesday?), same crap day! same crap update!

  • I bought Quest for Booty since half of is pretty hard to say no to. The Spring Fever is a great way to promote games as it sometimes means people visit PSN to buy a discounted game and end up buying another one at full price because they remembered it was available.

  • Just Cause 2 DLC please!
