To everyone complaning about the PSone only playable on the PS3 means the use of the L3 and R3 buttons. Playstation would want it to put it the PSP but, there aren’t just enough buttons for the system.

Did I make it clear enough for you Sony? I’m lucky because I have a 360 also and have been playing the demo since Friday but I’m still upset. I had planned on buying the PS3 version of this game, but not after this. Get us the demo fast Sony. Updates on Tuesday, to hell with that. It’s your network, you can do what you want when you want. Get us the demo now. MS is leaving you in the dust. I can quickly see my PS3 become a Blu Ray player exclusively.

Looks like we are not that ONLY ONES Pissed about this whole situation….the Developers who worked VERY HARD TO GET THIS DEMO FINISHED BEFORE LAUNCH FOR US GAMERS, have to sit back and explain themselves…instead of us playing their game.

One of the Producers of the game..
“I don’t do this often, but I’m locking this thread because it’s not required. The PS3 is NOT a “crappy port”. We are just getting up over this side of the pond so will find out what has happened to the demo. If it hasn’t been released then that is extremely annoying but please don’t start reading things into this. We worked hard to get the demo out before release.”

they worked very hard to get this thing out on both the 360 and PS3…this is their first developed videogame, and they were able to get a demo approved before the release date…what motivation would they have next time to do the same, if there is no common courtesy in return from Sony….Microsoft did their job, while who ever is in charge…I’m guessing that it is you Grace Cheng apparently has lost touch with a portion of PS3 users….

+ AfriKan on May 26th, 2010 at 8:56 am said:

this might seem like an after thought PS3 sports title to you…but some of us have waited 3 years now for this game…and even longer for a competent football title….there are alot of people on the fence for this title, who are taking this whole situation as disrespectful to the point of not purchasing this game…. I personally have decided I will not purchase Tecmo Football because of the long wait…but I will purchase BackBreaker Football…

I’m lucky enough that a friend let me borrow his Microsoft 360 for the weekend to play this demo…that was first time a MS console step foot in my house….and now it is staying longer until the game releases thankx to the incompetence of the US PSN Network Team…I was ready to give this 360 back on Tuesday……

*sigh* the WORST part about this whole ordeal is the lack of communication which leads most of us, including myself, to jump to conclusions and point fingers…I don’t know if it is your fault Grace, but you have not replied not one time…and as the Senior Manager of the PlayStation Store, I would think you would at least owe us that much, a response.

It is not unheard of PS3 demos to be upload on different days than the scheduled Playstation Store update… I remember a couple of titles and trailers added to the Store on different days….It would be nice if you can do it again, and make it up for us PS3 users who just want to be treated with respect.

+ FoolKiller79 on May 26th, 2010 at 9:48 am said:

Not being concerned about Backbreaker or Tecmo Bowl I was thinking this wasn’t a bad update.

But then I saw the MNR PSP Online Entitlement. I will give Sony the benefit of the doubt and assume that is for second-hand buyers only, as Sony would be monumentally stupid to think they can get away with charging $15 for online in a new game designed around the concept of the online community.

But there is the rub. You are charging $15 to someone who tried to save $10 on a game or forcing them to only have half a game.

As long as this exists I will not buy any game it is tied to. This means any EA Sports title and now MNR PSP.

You just lost a sale. I will not buy your game, new or used, as long as this online access charge exists.

I didn’t think I would see the day when Sony entered the same level of disdain from me as EA Sports, but it happened.

AfriKan, I have a life out side of my PS3. As much as I love it and as much as I enjoy playing games, getting upset something is delayed or not released is childish. There are 100′s of great games to play. If they haven’t released something then they have their reasons. We’re not in the PSN offices to see what’s going on. Complaining makes things worse. Not only does it put pressure on the people who give us these great updates all the time but it also unjustly blames them when for all we know it’s not their fault. As for games I’m interested in, I was interested in Red Dead and it was delayed, I was interested in GTA liberty city and it was delayed, I’m interested in GT5 and we all know what’s up with that. I’m not going to complain, I’m going to enjoy it when I get my hands on it.

There is one major aspect no one has brought up in their Backbreaker Demo [DELETED]. That is quality assurance (game testing). This was developed for Xbox 360 and then ported to PS3. What could have been a flawless 360 version, may have been a really buggy PS3 version. This may have caused it to fail. Last time I heard, bugs generally aren’t fixed in a day or even a week.

Saying Sony has the demo code doesn’t mean they have it ready for publish. It means they have it, and when it meets a certain quality, they will release it. Anyone who thinks Sony is intentionally holding this so they can lose profits is a fool for thinking that. There is a good reason this wasn’t released on PS3, and I don’t think it is based on the grounds of conspiracy theory.

It might just be about time to open up an EU account…..I already have a Japanese account….what would it hurt to add another.

Here’s is an idea: produce the same content on all fronts every week…it has got to be possible….right?????

fix your problem with not taking care of the consumers, and i mean very quickly! do not put it past me to swear off sony for good for the lack of care we get. you people at sony have literally dozens if not hundres of games that can be immediately released to the classics part of the store, and i do mean games that were originally released by sony, would you like a list of the games that should have already been released?
legend of dragoon
blasto
crash team racing
gameday games
gamebreaker games
mlb games
other various sports games, basketball hockey…
and so many other games to numerous to mention.
now i know you do not have to go through all the troubles of getting permission from all the different companies other from the parent over in japan, so do you guys think you might actually try for us for a change?

Expect yet more lawsuits to follow. As for me I could care less. PSP lost my intereest a long time ago, it was slowly coming back but this killed it permanently.

“The Online entitlement is meant for those users who pick up the UMD version game second hand from a retailer (i.e., GameStop)in order to play the used the game online, the user must first purchase this entitlement.”

What’s next?!?!?!? A vehicle manufacturer/developer doesn’t get royalties everytime a car changes hands throughout it’s lifespan (i.e. “Let’s lock up the brakes until the new owner pays an entitlement fee”). Sure the car will run, you can play the stereo, rev the engine, roll the windows up and down, but won’t get the full experience that should come with it……no matter how many times it changes hands!!! Why should the customers who buy used….get screwed over after paying for the game at the retailer? You already got your full payment for the game when it sold the first time around!!!! This thought process is just plain greedy, is absolutely ridiculous and won’t last long. We (the gaming customer/community) won’t put up with it!!! Same thing goes for EA, Ubisoft and any other dumb@$$e$ that follow suit with this asinine, CUSTOMER screwing idea.

As far as the Spring Fever Sales go…….what a crappy ending to a great idea (i.e. LOST). I was personally hoping for a Pain or Little Big Planet week. I really expected and wanted a Pain week to come along at some point in the list. I regret missing the Zen Pinball sale in the beginning. Way to end it guyz :(

Basically Sony wants a piece of the used market scene, I don’t blame them for doing it. They done this with Socom Fireteam Bravo 3 and I expect them to do with future PSP titles as well. True Sony got their money the first time someone bought Mod Nation Racers but say that game is shared between 4 people, each of them that plays the game would have to pay to play online. Thats probably the reason why Sony did it. It also drops the price of the game’s value when its traded in as well. Instead of getting $20 it will probably be worth $15.

Is there any chance of any COD full games? My disc drive is broke and can only play PSN games. UFC would be nice too

Backbreaker releases tomorrow at GameStop. 505 decided to give people an early gift I guess. Still no demo… I’m not as angry anymore, but this does hurt a bit. Hopefully you guys will get your act together with online content in the future.

Ok, We finally get a price drop on Joust & Championship Sprint 2 week ago today, then last week you remove them from the store? What are you people at Sony on? What was the point of the permanent price drop if you wasn’t gonna leave it on the store??? I was lucky enough to get Joust before it was removed (whichwas a retarded idea) But i wasn’t able to buy Championship Sprint, and By removing them you have not only screwed people for buyin them, you also screwed yourself of money from sales, Seen where someone else on here was wanting to buy Joust, but couldn’t cuase you remeoved it.

You need to put Joust & Championship Sprint back on the Playstation Store, It bad enough there hardly any Arcade Classics on it now. You need to be adding more of them, Not removing them.
