Digital Comics Store Update

Grace Chen's Avatar Posted by on Jun 02, 2010 // Sr. Director, PlayStation Store

Hi Everyone- Here’s this week’s Digital Comics update.

Digital Comics Store 06_02_10

Prince of Persia – The Sands of Time Graphic Novel is definitely a highlight of this week’s new arrivals. It features over 70 pages of beautiful art based on the movie of the game. The file is over 160 MB; so make sure you have enough space for this one!

From Icon, the award-winning team of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming continue their landmark Powers series. Issues #7 & #8 are now available on the Digital Comics store. Issue 7 sees Warren Ellis (yes THE Warren Ellis) join detective Christian Walker on a case. Powers #8 is the start of a new story arc called Role Play, which details one of the most disturbing cases of Walker & Pilgrim’s careers. Both issues are must-reads for comic fans.

Check below for the full list of new arrivals and as always, head to for more info or to view our full catalog and pricing.

@wavelightning777 Sonic Universe comics are on the way soon.
@Thrasher20 no news for e3
@triple_lei Marvel Zombies 2 will be with us soon
@Balargon We have to wait until DA#2 isn’t released yet; wasn’t Bewoulf a self contained graphic novel?

Though, I do love the free comics!

I think the first comic for every series should be free! That way, people new to the comic universe can figure out which comics suit their tastes best, and then they can purchase the rest of the comics in each series!

I have yet to actually purchase a comic on the comic store. (I only read the free ones) But, it’s a great service, and I do enjoy reading them! However, I have yet to find a free-sample for a comic I really really enjoy. (though, I might purchase some manga on a whim without a sample…)

Either way, The Prince of Persia comic sounds really nice! I might check it out.

I was going ask about this for Canada but i dont think there is any point anymore… I was holding out hope as this would be a great way to keep my psp busy. I think I might as well sell it now. Oh well.
