I got myself a 3D ready TV 2 days ago (Sony Bravia KDL-40HX800 with the 3D transmitter and of course a pair of glasses). The 3D games worked fine until I logged in to my old PS3 upstairs (which is connected to an older HD-Ready Bravia model can’t remember the reference) and now I cannot select ‘paly in 3D’ anymore on my new PS3 slim which is connected to the new TV.
What’s going on here? I thought the PS3 ould detect to what TV it’s connected? Kinda gutted, don’t know what to do anymore. The transmitter is well connected and the 3D menu is visible in the TV’s option menu, when i hit the 3D button on the TV it does switch to 3D correctly, it is just that none of the games lets me choose ‘play in 3d’ or ‘play in 2D’ anymore…

Dammit, Sony is so happy with this stupid 3d, it was easier to play with the original 3D, at least it works with all kind of screens, and no need to buy a new HD Full 3D, I was so happy to have HD ready, and now Sony made me desperate indeed I am not getting it -_-

Hi Clarkeyjr.
Only with the 2 mentioned games i get the question if i want 2 or 3D. I know they are not my “favourite” kind of games, but once you have a 3D tv you take anything you can get, since there aint so much to choose from :-) I will try downloading them again. Thanks for the advice, youre doing better then the “helpdesk” :-)

hi peppes190002a, with pain only some of the levels are in 3D and you can only play these after you have completed the tutorial and with superstardust HD it should ask you just before the title screen if you want to play in 3D or 2D. if these still don’t work all i can suggests is deleting them and re-downloading them. (ps pain is just as crap in 3D as in 2D) hope this helps.

Hello, i bought the 3d stereophonic game set. But only 2 games are 3D (wipeout and motorstorm) the other 2 are just 2d. I have been writing a couple of mails already about this. The ONLY reply i got was “the should work in 3D all 4) BIG help that was.
Maybe YOU can help me? I hope so.

Dear Sony,

I am the new owner of a 3DTV. I already owned 2 PS3′s. I own all of the above mentioned games.

I was brought to this page when I did a search on the PS3 *NOT* playing 3D movies, which I only discovered AFTER I bought one and tried to play it in 3D. I just assumed that since I saw the 3d games update on PSN that I was covered.

Please get that 3D Blu Ray patch going – like immediately. I consider the PS3 the flagship EVERYTHING player from Sony, and the fact that it doesn’t play 3D blu ray right now after the launch of your 3DTV’s is crazy.

The games, at least, look excellent in 3D. Wipeout especially.
