Hi everyone! It’s a big day for PlayStation as today we unveiled an unparalleled software lineup, a premium extension to the PlayStation Network called PlayStation Plus and huge momentum on the hardware front with 3D gaming and PlayStation Move, at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles. With the launch of the world’s first 1:1 motion gaming platform for the PlayStation 3 system, PlayStation Move, in North America on September 19, 2010, this truly changes everything. Never before has a player been able to “become” the character in the game…until now. PlayStation Move puts you right in the middle of the action with deep, rich high definition graphics, dynamic gameplay and complete immersion into the game, all of which is only possible on the PlayStation 3 system.

• PlayStation Move motion controller – Available as a standalone for $49.99 (MSRP).
• PlayStation Move Bundle – Includes one PlayStation Move motion controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, Sports Champions Blu-ray game and PlayStation Move game demo disc for $99.99 (MSRP).
• PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle – An introductory package for PS3 newcomers, the PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle includes a PS3 system, a PlayStation Move motion controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, Sports Champions Blu-ray game and PlayStation Move game demo disc, all for only $399.99 (MSRP)

Additionally, the PlayStation Move navigation controller and PlayStation Eye camera will be available for $29.99 and $39.99, respectively. But wait, there’s more! This fall, we’re also bringing you two additional Move peripherals that will complement your gaming experience.

• PlayStation Move “Charging Station” – Available for $29.99 (MSRP), the Charging Station will allow you to charge two PlayStation Move motion or navigation controllers at once, without connecting them to the PS3.

• PlayStation Move “Shooting Attachment” – Available for $19.99 (MSRP), the Shooting Attachment takes arcade shooting games to a whole new level. The Shooting Attachment snaps directly onto a motion controller and allows gamers to hold the motion controller like a gun, creating a more precise and immersive experience for games like The Shoot! and Time Crisis: Razing Storm.

Today’s press conference wasn’t just about the new hardware – we also showcased incredible software support with a diverse range of gaming content and genres that deliver something for everyone in the family. SCE Worldwide Studios and our publishing partners will release more than 40 PS3 titles by March 2011 that either support, or are dedicated to the new PlayStation Move platform. Our publishing partners are bringing some of their biggest games to PlayStation Move such as NBA 2K11, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011, Time Crisis: Razing Storm, and Toy Story 3. Friends and families of all ages can get off the couch and get into the action with titles like EyePet, Sports Champions and LittleBigPlanet 2 that bring incredible realism and creativity to the living room. Core gamers can expect to immerse themselves in titles like Heavy Rain, Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs, with incredible precision and realism that was never before possible.

• since this doesn’t come out until september can you add an additional bundle that includes two move controllers one navigation controller and the demo disc for $99 please. I already have a ps3 and the playstation eye, so to really get the most out of the experience the bundle I just suggested would be perfect. I want two playstation move controllers, but at $49 a piece I don’t think we should have to pay for the navigation controller too. If we did pay for it that would make it $129 plus how ever much a game is and thats not fair to those who already have a camera and console. please consider this and offer up a second $99 bundle (2 moves 1 nav and the demo disc) thank you!

• Wiik sauce.

• what are the prices for canada?

• soo i dont get it, someone please help me, why the guy in the poster and the other people simulating the arch are using 2 motion controllers and only comes one in the bundle?? does it mean we have tu buy another motion controller? therefore, a 100$ bundle plus a 50$ standalone plus a 40$ for navigation controller making a 200 dlls deal? is this correct?

• WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!! NO MOVE AND SUB-CONTROLLER BUNDLE?! WTF Sony?! WTF!!!!

• Sony, please consider a bundle including both the standard Move controller as well as the Navigation controller. I will be purchasing the Move, but I cannot see Resident Evil 5 being playable without the Navigation controller. I think the majority would be in agreement with me in saying that most games will require it and therefore there should be a bundle that includes both controllers with the camera.

• @everyone

I understand people complaining that the Move doesn’t come with the nav controller. I feel like there should be a bundle with it too and maybe there is one coming around the corner we dont know about, but to say they dropped the ball so soon I think is a bit overstated because as they’ve shown in the trailers and in some of the demos from the last few conventions there are plenty of games that run on just a single Move controller alone. I hope they bring out a bundle but even if they don’t I’m grabbing these controllers. I think Sony did an awesome job of selling me on this and with it coming out and btw no matter what order you buy it in its still cheaper than Kinect (just check out gamestop’s listed price).

• Like I asked earlier on post #87 : Please tell me you can play ALL of the Sport Champions games with just ONE Move controller (and PS Eye of course), or Sony you are just asking for it! Nobody wants to unwrap their new game and find out they can’t play that Archery stuff ’cause it requires one extra Move. Nobody would like to find out any of those game can’t be properly played without a “Navi” either!

• I am extremely peeved at the price points. I already have the PS Eye. So if I were to buy it I would want the standalone bundle. But if it doesn’t come with both parts then what is the point? I hear all of you saying use the six-axis but that is just ruining the experience. The games are meant to be played with both the motion and navigation controller. I’m sold on Move if they package both the motion and navigation controllers and the sports game but only if it’s all in one package around $50-$60. Otherwise I’ll pass and watch it fail. Not too many people are willing to shell out that much cash for something this gimmicky especially if you have to buy everything in pieces. Damn Sony.

• i have to say SONY E3 2010 all good loved it, BUT!!!! “it only does everything”…….LOL another E3 and no cross chat for the PS3!!! LOL! make the line say “it only does everything but no Xchat” and sry Jack Tretton, on your intro for playstation plus you compared xbox live to the PSN and said we get what they pay for, for free….. THEY HAVE CROSS CHAT WE DON’T! PSN has a better store but they have better multiplayer options, or is that going to be one of the options for playstation plus. But the again can you say; we have what the pay for , for free.

I wonder if any higher ups read this. Any way I said my peace!

Can’t wait for the PS MOVE!!!

• Hi.
You really need to include the nav controller in the bundles. Also, you need a bundle that is only the Move, nav controller, and game for people like me who already own an Eye. Why should we be at a disadvantage for already purchasing a Sony product?
The Move has potential but at those prices, and announced titles, the uptake may be limited.

• I would really like to pre order move but $200+ is a bit much for the experience.
$49 for a stand alone move.
Sony need to check themselves,i thought they were a bit more clued up than Microsoft.

• Sorcery totally sold me on the move. It looks like a lot of fun. I hope you guys run some juicy info on it sometime soon. I really wanna see more.

• Marinobrea,
I totally agree,They are selling the bundle with one controller and there’s a picture at the top of the screen with a kid using 2 controllers.
Nice, archery game and i cant draw back my bow string until i buy another controller or navi, sweet!!!

• really cant wait

• Of course it’s not like the Wii or anything..

._.

• The $100 Bundle is an awesome value. I’ll be picking that up. I guess a lot of games will need a second controller- archery in Sports Champs, the Fight, etc. $50 is an acceptable price for it. I’m not thrilled with the Navigation controller. I’ll probably stick with the DualShock for first person shooters anyway. Maybe I’ll change my mind on that one once I see what games need it.

• I liked the show. you focused on the games not the controllers and you are not abandoning the regular controller for most of these games. I am interested in the PSN+ because it delivers content not access. Access to play games should be free like it is on the PC ad PSN. I will not pay for XBox Live. I hope you tour the Move to other Best Buys over the summer so those who live outside of CA can get a taste. I think the pricing is fair. The only thing I really wish is that I could change my PSN ID. I have the same ID on e-mail, Twitter, Facebook, and XBox. I got the PS3 first so my lack of foresight is irking me on the ID and I have too many trophies and purchases that I don’t want to give up. I have always been a Nintendo fan boy but the PS3 has really converted me. I never owned a PlayStation anything before and am enjoying the experience and the back catalog as you have released PS1 titles and I have a backward compatible PS3 units. Anyways. keep up the great work.

• I will be honest, I think the move ended up looking pretty good. My only problem is that Sony did make a pack which has both the motion controller and navigation. Why? Please make a combo pack that even saves as little as 5 bucks from the price. 10 would be better, but 5 is fine too. Or, make a pack that has both controllers and sports champions for like $100 dollars. I would buy that, as of right now it is hard to buy because both controllers are not sold together. This pretty essential as most games seem to require both. That is my only grip. Otherwise keep up the good work. The Motion controls looks like it will be great.

• Since this is coming out in September, I’d hope by Christmas shopping season there will be bundles of both controllers at a discounted rate. That’s what I’m waiting for. No way I can justify paying $80 for 1 set of controllers cuz I already have a PS Eye.

• it really does change everythin :P

• SOLD!!!!

Love the stand and gun option!!!!

• Also as others have metioned please make some combos without the PS Eye as many of us own one already.

• Way better than the cheap Wii Remotes. Wii is kinda stupid, I mean its a new system and the graphics are just like the graphics on the Playstation 2 for Guitar Hero 3. I would recommend this. This is TheGoofyRussian, and I approve this message.

• I am so STOKED about MOVE! Sorcery looks amazing! …but I had a little moment today after looking at this demo of Move http://techland.com/2010/06/14/exclusive-sony-playstation-move-tech-demo/ …and when it got to the part where they start sculpting i just thought about a hack-n-slash game with a forge where you can create your own armor and weapons! Someone let me know if that’s a good idea or not. I think it would be awesome! I love customization in games and after watching this video it made me a believer in Move!

• What I want to know Sony is if you have the Playstation Eye, and the Move controller, can you use the dualshock 3 as a substitute for the sub controller since the sub has no motion capabilities like the move but does have an analog stick like the dualshock?

Please answer, thanks.

• Awesome pricings Sony! I’ve had my pre-order for the Move controller a while now.

• I hope the “Shooting Attachment” comes in black/red as well. The white/red is a good option, but most PS3s and their peripherals are black.

• Wow everyone is going overboard on this price thing. I just checked out the prices of the wii 1:1 controller. It is the same price. The nav is 10 dollars more however. Although this controller does more, it should probably be priced more like $25. I just wished they made a bundle with the motion and nav controller together. That is what has turned me off. That way we could receive savings for buying more and supporting Sony.

• I know it’s been said by others, But don’t make me regret buying the EYE early. Give us a bundle with Sports and the move. Or a SOCOM 4, move, navigation controller bundle.

• Does the playstation move work without the playstation eye or is it mandatory to have it to play games that are compatible with these controllers?

• I think Move is gonna be great and all but I need 1 question answered.

In the Sports Champion game, I noticed that Archery & Volleyball uses 2 Move controllers, are you able to use just 1 controller or do you need both controllers? If I DO need 2 Move controllers, why would just offer 1 Move controller in the bundle???

Please respond, thanks!

• Is sports champions going to be sold alone and if so for how much. I heard 39.99 but that sounds like WAY more than it should be considering the bundle of 1 wand (49.99) + eyetoy (39.99) + sports champions ($?) + PlayStation Move game demo disc = 99.99. You’d pretty much be screwing over customers who already own a PlayStation Eye. It would be cheaper for me to buy the bundle and have an additional Playstation eye which would be useless.

• @Myke-Myke
All sports champion games can be played with 1 or 2 wands

• Seeing that the navigation controller is sold separately, does that mean that is not fully required when you play move games? Cuz the trailer seems to show that the navigation controller is heavily needed in most games.

Also, 2 move controllers for 1 player (i.e. beach volleyball)??? Is it possible to enjoy the same experience with only one controller?

• FutureGarbageMan

Hey Sony why don’t you just have the navigation controller be a regular move controller with the ability to move around a controller this way people could play games like god of war or different melee type of games i would pay an extra 20 dollars for this! please respond also sony should have something where consumer’s can post a their idea’s

• I think you need to bundle the nave and Move controller with a discount.

• well… all im gonna say is that i wont get it at launch… sadly. but im just gonna wait it out until x-mas or my b-day (nov.21 ^_^). int the mean while ill just have to read the reviews, see some vids, and either save up or ask as a present for xmas… (heck im still a kid, it sucks to be unemployed with so much great stuff coming…)

• so will the bundle with out the ps3 come with a navigation controller?

• I have a PlaystionEYE but there is no game + Controller bundle for people with the Eye already?

The Game, plus both the Move and the Nav for $99 without the camera would seem fair for people who bough the Eye to Play EYE of Judgement back in 2007.

• Im excited its i think u could do more ps. You need to make a bundle with 2 movw controllers, 2 navagation controllers, 1 game, & ps eye. All for around $129.99. or less. lots of people will need 2 controllers & navgation contollers. i think the navagation should come with move controller. In want an up date to see if u can put them together. Thanks :)

• Does the bundle come with a regular ps3 controller? i don’t own one yet so im suppose to be buying this bundle.
But i wan’t to play regular games and not just move games.
So does it have both a dualshock 3 controller and the Move controller or just the Move controller?

• I need a bundle without the crappy Eye. I have the Eye already and I think that was a lame MOVE on Sony part to not make a bundle for current Eye owners considering they know a good chunk of us already have the Eye. For those of you who don’t know, don’t expect too much quality out of the Eye. Sony should have upgraded that crappy camera instead of re-releasing the same one.

I need:

2 Move Controllers
2 Nav Controllers
1 Sports game including demos

What’s up with the gun controller color? Other than the fact that a big light bulb on the end would prevent people from thinking it’s a real gun, couldn’t you have used more aggressive colors like blue on blue or something? That thing above looks more like a flair gun lol. Watch out, he’s got a flair gun!

• PlayStation Move Bundle – For those of you who already own the PS3 Eye, we have a bundle for you… Includes two PlayStation Move motion controller, Sports Champions Blu-ray game and PlayStation Move game demo disc for $99.99 (MSRP).

• I’ve been watching and waiting for the move since I first heard about it around e3 lasy year so know that it’s finally going to come out and 9 days after my BDay at that has me pretty hyped. Lucky me I have a high cash flow as of late so I’ll have the money to get the nav controller and the 2nd move controller.

• Wow so many people saying the same thing. I wonder when Sony will respond. It seems like they could make everyone happy by simply adding one more bundle: A game, a move, and a nav controller for $99.

My concern is why do you need two moves for one player archery on sports champions (as shown in pics and videos)? If this is better than a so called Wii HD, what Wii gave have you seen where you hold two Wiimotes for one player. Archery is one wiimote plus the nunchuck.

I plan on buying the PS3 move, but I really hope Sony will let us single players have the full experience with 1 move and 1 nav controller and not need to buy 2 moves and a nav to get it.
