Get out your brightest highlighter and draw a big circle around today’s date, Tuesday, June 29, 2010, aka The Best Day in PSP Tennis History.
This is the day that Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip (as a UMD or PSN download) makes its North American debut, and for the wallet-friendly price of $19.99!
That’s right, the wait is over… all your portable tennis needs are finally answered! Get ready to spend countless summer nights unlocking characters, costumes, courts and secret levels. Oh, the joy.
But I don’t have to sell you on this… you’ve already gotten a taste of the supremely awesome gameplay with the demo (released last week!) and your thumbs are sore from maxing out both your points and loyalty level. You’re gotten a glimpse into to endless (hyperbole!) rows of customization options. Your smash hits are unstoppable and you are ready to name your first child Emily (or Hugo, it’s up to you).
Fifteen new tennis Hot Shots; exotic locations and brand new courts (like the colorful World Television Studios); hundreds of matches and weeks worth of gameplay; a bajillion costume combinations and crazy outfits; fierce, in-your-face ad-hoc competitive and co-op multiplayer matches… is there a better way to spend your summer?
So it’s settled: head out (or click out) and pick up (or download) your very own copy of Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip before you go mad with envy and end up looking like this dude… sheesh… he definitely needs to Get a Grip.
i like the Demo. you guys should bring some Hot Shots action on the PS Move.
$19.99? Too pricey.
been playing it for like an hour now and its pretty good. didnt know there was a story mode in it. Im pass the japanese level and now in the one that looks like california on the world map. would still be playing it but my battery is dead and dont feel like sitting near the plug so waiting for it to charge lol
@ Mobius_124 I was thinking the same thing. they should of just made the move sports title into a hot shots game. at least it would have some brand name recognition
JakeSkate? Too cheap.
nice game for fun ^^
Excellent! have been waiting for this ^_^
I’m def gonna pick it up this week! Thanks for your hard work, Chris & the clap hanz team. Love the Hot Shots games, they never disappoint!
Wait a minute I can’t comprehend this, a new game for the PSP Go that looks fun and is $19.99?! Madness.
Can you please stop with the “Downloads must be the same price as Retail” policy. It’s killing downloadable sales. I refuse to pay the same price.
iTunes albums arn’t the same price as CD’s. Why are downloadable games the same price as UMD’s?
$19.99 is too pricey!?!? For a Hot Shots game?!?! I’ve put in over 100 hours into both Hot Shots: Golf on PS3 and PSP, I expect the same with this one. Thanks Sony!!
Played this at the PSB meetup. Pretty cool
haha, yeah i was thinking about that longest Tennis match when i read that last part ! =]
can’t wait to get this game i love the Hot Shot Series, btw the song on the trailer is pretty catchy!
(bought) Thanks Sony
Amazing demo, good show.
@#2 “$19.99? Too pricey.”
Are you high off of some unknown future drug!? I would have gladly paid $29.99 for this game. Some people just nag, nag, nag, about everything.
Very happy with my purchase. I think they nailed the price point. Excellent work as always Clap Hanz/Japan Studio!
Great job sony…keep up the great work.
This game made me fall in love with with my PSP all over again. Can’t stop playing it!
Hot Shots Soccer next pleasseeee!!!
@2 Shut up.
I honestly was looking forward to this game since the demo. But I don’t feel like buying into anything else until I’m given wnat I was promised on Playstation Plus.
This and Peace Walker are eating up my time. I hope both of these awesome psp games come to ps3.
This game is awesooooome!!!
i got it and i love it , really awesome game , i just wish it had an online infrastructure mode , im getting used to play psp games online now , we just need an active psn friends list
This is really a great game and for only $20.
Sample video and brief writeup playing HotShots tennis, multiplayer over the internet using AdHoc Party..
really wish the game had infrastructure mode multiplayer, but we just went adhoc party. The game is even better doubles with a friend.
