Do you have both the WipEout HD demo and full game unlock listed as the two separate item in your downloads area? It seems to have vanished from the PS+ part of the storefront, but I still have it sitting in my downloads from last night after I selected it through the store.

  • im hopeing that when the store gets updated we will get some more stuff in the Playstation Plus place i wanna play some Betas and Demos:D

  • not enough content . BECAUSE Some of the stuff you offer I already have not sum like a lot so whats the point. and also I would like to know when I get ps+ and buy a game for a discount and then I run out of ps+ will I still keep that game or will it be gone. I have lots of questions that have yet to be explained. and also what about cross game video/voice chat and send voice msgs to people.. that would be cool

  • Yes i downloaded the Wipeout HD Demo way back when but its still in my downloads near the end the fill unlock is recent on the list though but just go down till u find the Wipeout HD demo if u downloaded it previously it should say its 1 GB

  • Is Playstation Plus available for Canada? Playstaiton.ca has nothing on it.

  • I would really just like to know if the 20-50% discount offered will ever go towards actual PSP games (Not Just Mini’s)? This would be great for PSP Go users. Please let us know sony!

  • great no skype yet… will skype ever make it to ps3 at least for ps+ members?

  • I thought we get 1 free PSN game, 2 Minis, and 1 Classic. Why is there only 1 mini?

  • This is just total rubbish. I’m in the same boat as Johnnyblades(post 10) as I have already purchased the content being offered with the subscription, and this has little value to me. Same thing with Qore. I had almost all the content Qore gave away the first year, so I refrained from buying content only to be given hardly any through Qore my second year. No more subbing for me.

  • I’ll be buying it probably this Friday!! Can’t wait, and give us SOCOM II remake in the PSN Store!

  • @154

If you buy anything on the store, even at the discount and then you discontinue your PS+ account you still get to keep what you purchased. (Not including the free stuff you get with the 3 month fee of 17.99 or 1 year fee of 49.99)

  • I hope the added revenue actually helps improve the PSN for everyone. the psn should be a constantly improving service for both PSP and PS3 users. and if the PS-Plus allows Sony to improve the PSN service for everyone, then to me it is absolutely worth subscribing to.

As for this PS-Plus service, some things should be done to ensure that it is a success. First, maximize the number of people that this service can potentially appeal to by offering substantial incentives for both PSP and PS3 gamers. Right now it looks to be more PS3 centric. The Go is a digital only system, so a service that nets them free/discounted psp games would be incredibly appealing. I understand that offering a free full psp game every month might be too much for you guys, how about 1 game every 3 months instead, that way 3 month subscribers only get 1 free full psp game and then have to subscribe again, whereas full-year subscribers would get 4 full psp games with their subscription. Another idea that would work well is if there was a moderate discount, like 20-30% off all PSP titles for PS-Plus subscribers. This way you guys can keep the prices close to retail for psp games while also simultaneously offering discounts on them to premium members.

  • darth_soul if u wanna add me on the PS3 my sn is Flashpal same with anyone thats having difficulty with Playstation plus i’m just a regular person though so i cant answer your questions about the content coming of anything like that but if your having trouble downloading Wipeout HD i can help u with that

  • Nice!! I’ll purchase later today

  • right now its not a great deal. Wipeout HD is ok, but everything else is garbage. I am taking a wait and see approach. Next month they better have something a lot better!

  • Hulu announcement on playstation 3 should be blog soon!

  • Deathpoolite Thats a very realistic awesome way to look at it! the extra money they get from Playstation Plus should help them make the overal PSN Service and Home for that matter alot better for everyone as a whole!

  • @138,139 SCEA is the WORST branch in the entire Sony family. Look forward to no answers, less than you expected, and horrendous customer “service” if you try to gripe. I mean I love my PS3, but I’m not loving Sony themselves much these days.

  • Bought it last night… My only (important) concerns are

Where is our 2ND monthly mini’s title- Fieldrunners?

And where is our Dynamic themes?

as promised here on this very blog

  • They are probably coming out in acouple hours when the Store Updates

  • No go for me.

  • ps+ is good but i would prefer instead of discounts and free stuff that you actually improve the psn like cross game chat, better web browser,in game full xmb use(like going to the internet) in game video/picture capture, one can dream at least.

  • Not worth it, unless you are spending over $300 a year on PSN games. The “free” games you get aren’t worth anything since they aren’t yours to keep.

Qore will now be reduced to.. well, who knows but I’m not renewing my subscription to find out.

Such high hopes for PSN+ only for it to turn out to be a big blunder. There’s no excuse for PSN+ to not have cross chat out the door.

  • Already subscribed for 3 months, once that’s up I’ll subscribe for a full year. So far I’m really impressed, it’s also a great way of getting people interested the mini games you provide.

I can’t wait to see how this service evolves in the next 12 months, I remember when the PS store was nothing more than a website, it’s great to see the entire network evolving quite quickly (hopefully faster now that you’re actually getting an income from us subs). :P

  • @173

You’re already judging a service that has been out for less than 24 hours, how about you actually give it some time before you make those type of comments?

By the way, it isn’t ‘PSN+’ as you put it, it’s simply Playstation Plus (or PS+).

  • For me, there is just not enough content I want, which I dont already own.

I also agree with some others here that suggest this in some ways discourages people from buying things when they are new; instead just waiting to see if they will get it with Plus.
I did have a question about that- what, if any percantage does the Creator of the Game get if one aquires it via Plus?

There also seems to be a significant lack of Transperancy with US Consumers and SCEA, this creates a lack of confidence for me with regards to the quality of the Plus Service.

  • If I moved from North America to Europe midway through my subscription, can I transfer my subscription? If not, will I still be able to obtain goodies from the North American store while in Europe?

Check it out! Fieldrunners is NO LONGER part of the release list! GO SCEA!!!

  • Check it out! Fieldrunners is NO LONGER part of the release list! GO SCEA!!!

Go to us playstation site, then playstation plus! BOOSH!!!

  • I just got it and, I have to say, I absolutely love it so far! Keep up the awesome work!

  • Branch outside of games. offer free and/or discounted movies, tv shows, comics, and music too. The PSN offers more than just gaming, the ps-plus should showcase that by giving it’s subscribers a large variety of free and discounted content.

A key thing to keep in mind is that users are going to want both consistency and variety from this service. A consistent stream of content like a psn title, a psone classic, a pspmini and DLC every month is sure to please subscribers. However, if that is the extent of what you guys offer, then it may become monotonous and have subscribers longing for different content to be offered.

every 3 months offer a full psp game. one month you offer several movies, another month some tv shows, another month some comics, another month some music, and another month a mixture of those things. It’d be great if every month we were offered all of those things, but I understand it might not be profitable for Sony if they did.

Still, you need to offer varying content in a way that doesn’t frustrate subscribers. variety is key, but it can’t be sporadic. If it’s sporadic it frustrates people who are anticipating it. A balance between consistency and variety is key

  • I like it so far, with the other console I got nothing with that 50 bucks and I expend a lot of money in the store either way. I don’t think is for everyone, is for gamers that check often the store and and expend money on a regular basis. Also I have a question, is psp going to receive some content? I know minis and PS One are playable in the psp but I was talking about 100% psp titles.

  • Playstation Plus would be a heck of a lot better if there were at least discounts on things that a good majority of the people would want to buy.

For instance, FF9 just recently came out. A great way of promoting PSN+ would have been to offer FF9 at half price, or even totally free for signing up with PSN+. It’s not the only example, but really, stuff like Mortal Kombat 2 should be free with PSN+, not slightly discounted. Offer real premium content at a discount and more janky/gimmicky content for free.

So far, I see a lot of discounts on games that don’t have a huge amount of appeal, and I pretty much already own anything PSN+ offers for free. Additionally, I’m also a Qore subscriber, so I’m losing out there too. I like the concept, but as many others have stated, Sony hasn’t been spectacular in support. Qore has been getting worse and worse each month since I subscribed and until there’s a marked improvement in the PSN+ services and value (not more advertising, I’d rather see PSN+ become popular by word of mouth rather than ads and the info board being spammed full of “SIGN UP NOW”), I remain firmly in the disappointed side of the fence.

  • @176 “There also seems to be a significant lack of Transperancy with US Consumers and SCEA, this creates a lack of confidence for me with regards to the quality of the Plus Service.”

Just a lack of professionalism buddy!

  • Are, people on the net….so entertaining.
The only people who couldnt profit from this, are the ones who have bought nearly everything on the Store. And if you have done this, then stop your complaining.
The rest of us make our money back ten fold[lm already +$8 with my year subscribtion, thanks to WipeOut,Qore and and some DLC].Now times that by 15[the +3 months for a years subscription]…and theres a hardy profit.
If you already have most of these, guess what…you have 11 more months to make a profit.
    As to complaining you only get to keep your download games as long as the subscription;
1]They are FREE, your $50 a year is easily returned in the first few months
2]Who plays any game, especially a downloaded one, once finished, more then once[Warhawk etc are non-ending games].
3]Its a freaking year people, if you like it renew, if you dont, dont. If in that year you didnt get to play the 4*15 months of downloaded games, whose to blame but yourself?
And why wouldnt you renew with all these free stuff?

Throw in early Beta access[can anyone say hello to Qore=HOME?], discounted dlcs…..

Seriously, l think l dont need to go on.

  • What the heck happened to Wipeout HD? Was it removed? Is it only available to PS+ members?? :/

  • Add me to the list of subscribers!!! 8)

  • Wipeout, Fieldrunners, and Qore for free… Where the F are they? I’ve paid my dues and now I feel like you’ve made empty promises.

  • I can’t wait to get off work and get this up and running.

  • Can I pay with a PSN card if I don´t own a credit card?

  • I was pretty excited for PSN+. That was before I logged in and saw that most of the PSN games, demos and offers are for games I already paid full price for on day one. Infamous is a year old!!! The only thing new is the Fat Princess DLC.

Is this service targeted at core gamers? The kind of core gamers who probably pre-ordered Infamous and already spent thousands on PSN downloads?

In the words of Marcus: “Step up your game!” Qore at least gave us Betas and Veronica Belmont. I hope next month brings us something worthwhile to make me consider membership.

  • I really want to like PSN+, but whoever decided on the first month’s set of offers isn’t looking out for what gamers want. If anything, the first month should attract people on the fence with the subscription. Come on Sony I really want to give you my money.

  • People please. Put up or shut up.

  • My problem with this is having to infinitely pay to access the content I get from Plus.

If the main thing I’m looking at is the (supposed) free games I will get, why does it make more sense to get them “free” with plus, then to just buy them one time and have access to them forever without being obligated to continually pay a subscription fee? Not to mention that we don’t exactly have the same choice we have with Sony just deciding what we get.

Maybe this service would be better for people who are interested in things like Qqore and Betas etc. for me though it just doesn’t make sense. Not to mention, there has still been no word on a Canadian video store in over a year now.

The main thing that irks me is having to keep paying to access the content we get though, I don’t think I will ever sign up for this because of that, sounds to me like the content isn’t free at all, it actually costs more.

  • @ 152:

No it is no longer in my download list either only the Full Game Unlock Code.

  • @185, you are right. Have fun getting screwed. And to the rest of you good luck!

  • Qore subscriber’s get the same deal as Non-Qore subscriber’s. Current Qore subscriber’s will pay twice for Qore when subscribing to Plus.

A prorated discount would be preferable. If not, something smaller as a token for Qore loyalty would help. I know a lot of Qore subscriber’s will wait when their subscription is up. At that time most will think twice to sign up for any other PSN subscription.

I think Plus is perfect for the newer PS3 users. Also for those will little to any PSN purchased downloads.

  • wasn’t there like a 3 months trial thing being talked about at E3?

cause i definitely want to try this out before I pay money for it.
