@Gnordy
Ignore was maybe too strong a word for me to use. I’m not trying to insinuate that the lack of updates are on purpose or anything. I just think it’s a shame that this section of the PSN store has been stuck in the mud as of late. The convenience of having so many great PSone titles readily available on my PSP is something I’m willing to pay for. Hopefully the pace manages to pick up a bit as time goes on.

A question Grace:

When is Ace Combat coming out? IGN says the release date is today but that is apparently not the case.

Thanks in advance for any reply.

Xamindar said:

Hmm, buy Infamous on PSN where it will take a few hours to download and then I can never resell it or play it at my friends house.
OR…
Buy it in disk form (even $2 less on Amazon) and have a physical copy that is MINE.

Such hard decisions [sarcasm]

Other than that, pretty good update.

Will Playstation Plus ever have new titles for free? Or for discount? Because I already have bought all the older stuff you guys have for plus users.

Hey guys wassup!! I’m very happy to see u guys trying to get things better 4 us I’m loving the ps+ but there’s one thing I don’t like. That is the fact that y’all promise that we was gonna have (In Game Chat) with this service deal package… What happened??? In Game Chat was wanna the reason y I went to work 2 day so I can make the money 2 get ps+. But I don’t see it no where. Wassup R we gonna get it?? If we R tell us when please…zzzzzz we deserve to know after waisting all this money.

I already own wipeout. Thats like me getting $20 less content if I buy plus than someone who hasn’t already bought wipeout. I guess thats my punishment from buying wipeout day one. There needs to be at least an option for people who already have the main free game.

I like the Fat Princess avatars. But not enough to spend $50 for them lol. I’ll wait till they’re available to everyone.

not to mention you never keep promises.

They never promised cross game chat. In fact they didn’t even say its coming, they said they are looking into it.

So don’t expect to see it soon, although I am sure its coming eventually ;)

And please next time your write a comment, at least use spell check if you really expect any one to reply to you, you sound like a complete idiot.

One wonders if the PSN folks even realize that Wipeout HD for PS+ subscribers vanished last night without a trace and is still not available for anyone who didn’t subscribe immediately after 3.40 and PS+ became available . . .

Lil_Mermaid_Girl said:

@ SpyDude, Sony doesn’t care about replying to us. We rarely get a reply on the blog unless it is a developer answering a question about a new game they released (because that may be another sale for them).

But I think Sony doesn’t care us blog readers. They never reply. We’re just the small nobody consumers. Oh wait. Consumers, right Sony. You know that?

Do they really not have someone reading this that could answer something??

Amazon = inFamous and DualShock 3 controller bundle for $59.99, so lets say $45 for controller and $15 for game

Trade-in inFamous back to Amazon for $13 when your done

$2 rental fee and $45 controller

Way Better than a $29 DL

Citrean said:

I doubt it has anything to do with if Sony employees want to reply or not, or that they are ignoring these posts.. every one of these announcements Sony makes on their blogs probably goes through some type of PR/management approval process.

Where’s Qore and Fieldrunners? I’d rather you delay PSN+ then launch it with incomplete offerings. It just doesn’t look good.

@Lil_Mermaid_Girl, I had a chuckle reading the middle of your post…

“But I think Sony doesn’t care us blog readers. They never reply. We’re just the small nobody consumers. Oh wait. Consumers, right Sony. You know that?”

As much as I agree with you, I couldn’t help but think of Kanye West when you said that. =)

But seriously Sony, instead of only pandering to the softball compliments, how about addressing some of the people that have serious concerns about the lack of product the US is getting on PSN compared to its overseas counterparts? Not responding to them is like saying you don’t care, which translates into lack of PS+ memberships or regular sales.

This has been a trend you’ve followed for awhile. I’m asking you as a loyal Sony ‘fanboy’ to tell us why you can’t make due on promises, or why we have to wait for up to a year and beyond to get stuff others can already get. Give us something other than the cookie cutter response of ‘…’. If you’d at LEAST tell us why we have to wait, then people would understand more than not hearing anything at all. That’s all. =) I still love your stuff, but I ain’t diggin’ the whole ‘let’s be secretive because we can’t provide’ approach.

@ ukrain, I’ll have to google who Kayne West is lol. But yeah I agree with your post too. Of course there will be people who don’t check the blog or other gaming sites, and will just purchase stuff regardless, but I do honestly feel like Sony just ignores the “hardcore” people who come to the blog looking for info and such. And we are of course a big part of their consumer base and their constant (for a long time now) lack of response to the community is annoying and bad business.

BUT THEY’LL NEVER READ THESE POSTS! SO THEY’LL NEVER KNOW! hehehehe I say that jokingly, but I actually believe that. Otherwise someone would reply. A simply “we hear you and read from the shadows secretly”. But no, this post will go unnoticed and soon be on a middle page that no on reads.

Not thrilled by the update… How about more PSOne games? Not a big fan of expiring content either. So if I am a PSN+ user for a few years and then decide to not renew, I lose all the accumulated bonus stuff? Doesn’t sound that good to me…

SpyDudeFX said:

June 29th, 8:38 pm

I just want them to add the two dynamic themes, I was really looking forward to that since I have inFamous, WipeoutHD, etc. There are threads about the missing content on IGN and CAG, so I’m sure Sony will respond to it.

Wrong, pal. At Sony’s E3 press conference, Jack Tretton said Fieldrunners was one of the two minis we were supposed to get this month…

I believe sony gets too excited and in the moment then they start to make all of these promises then get back to reality & start to reject their own promises. It’s as if sony has hangovers Sony:I’m so happy today i’m willing to do anything -few minutes later the happy excited feeling goes away comes back to reality- Sony: ugh… why did i say that now i have to actually work….. oh i know don’t do anything the promises will fade away and everyone will forget. It seems that way sometimes

i’m with you. at first i was happy we were getting replies, but so far, they’ve all be replies like “thanks” “glad you like it” “if youre not happy, why dont you buy some of the hundreds of games already available?” or my favorite “stay tuned next week”.

while i can understand some xbl games taking a long time to get over, or certain games going there first because of a contract stating so, but even nintendo has their virtual console filled up with the best of the best classics. sony probably just considers psn to be a side deal, not really focused on pursuing games…though with the ammount of money the publishers have to fork out to sony for every little thing, its no wonder we hardly get anything.

I will never understand the logic behind making a demo.. something designed to *sell* a product.. a limited commodity. It’s the same school of thought that has tried to charge consumers for the privilege of watching advertising.

Hmm, can’t see any incentive to buy Plus to be honest. If you’re going to start restricting sales to Plus subscribers only, you’ll need to add some decent titles. It’s only a benefit if you actually want the titles you’re discounting.

Giving Plus members a blanket 10% discount would be a nice idea though.

Anyway, love the PSP Tennis update, nice to have something worthwhile on the table. Looking forward to Persona 3 next week, assuming we’re not a month behind retail as we were with Blazblue ><

Just tried out Rally Cross, WTF were they thinking picking this for the first month? If this game was ever good, it has aged poorly over the last 13 years and is just garbage now. You’d think for the first month they’d pick some extra good content to convince people to sign up, apparently they aren’t taking that approach to Plus. Guess I’ll just have to hope for some good stuff down the road. I guess Wipeout HD is a pretty good pick, for those who hadn’t already purchased it.

Not a good deal for those of us who have re-upped our Qore subscriptions already, the week before E3 in fact. Hopefully Sony sees this blunder, feels bad about it, and offers a rebate…otherwise it will be a full 12 months before I consider PS+ service.

tigown said:

This service is garbage. I was considering buying it this weekend, but if Sony doesn’t feel like honoring their promises, then I don’t feel like handing them my money for PS+. Horrible launch content anyway. Let me know when you finally get the dynamic themes and fieldrunners.

I signed up for Playstation Plus. I know there’s nothing I want from it right now but I figure down the road there will be. I do have one request:

Please remove Dark Forces from the store. I and several other PSN users have bought it and it does NOT work. Lucas Arts no longer supports it either, so there’s little hope of seeing it functional. It’s a bad practice to sell the game in this condition.

If you keep pulling the same stunt your doing now face gamers who will laugh at you and call you up and say this–> Xbox360 KILLS PSN! Cause right now it does! there’s nothing impressive with PlayStation Plus Plus what nothing except crap! Hell even your stupid updates are useless materials that we don’t want! I asked several times for this CROSS GAME CHAT,CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS,A BETTER WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH MY FRIENDS WHEN I’M NOT ON MY PS3! BETTER STUFF IN THE PS STORE!,MORE AVATARS!,A LONGER FRIENDS & BAN LIST!..A EASIER WAY TO REPORT CHEATERS ETC! AND FINALLY FIX YOUR DAMN TEXTING CRAP I HATE IT YOU CAN’T EVEN SPELL A FULL SENTENCE WHEN YOU TEXT! SHAME ON YOU SONY! QUIT CENSORING US!
