Digital Comics Store Update

23 0

Hi Everyone- Here’s this week’s Digital Comics update. As usual, we have the full list of new content to the store below, but let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

digital comics

To start with, we have another large set of new arrivals from DC Comics. Pick up your free copy of the Wonder Woman #600 10-page preview, written by none other than J. Michael Straczynski. Or download #1 of DMZ and follow Matty Roth, an aspiring reporter trapped in a Manhattan ravaged by America’s Second Civil War. Finally from DC, down in Texas it’s all about werewolves, as you’ll see in High Moon #1. Former detective Matthew Macgregor investigates strange happenings in a desolate town… werewolf western drawn by Steve Ellis.

Want more superhero action? Marvel’s Black Panther, makes his solo debut on Digital Comics this week! So, who is Black Panther? R. Hudlin is here to answer this question – in cinematic scope, no less. He famously said that his influences for the Black Panther were another mighty superhero (can you guess who?), Spike Lee, and Sean Combs. That’s quite something.

Last, but not least, another great series by IDW: Mystery Society. Charismatic duo Nick Hammond and Anastasia Collins bring their own justice to the world’s underbellies – and it’s not an easy task. Written by Steve Niles, with art by amazing Ashley Wood (Tank Girl, Zombie vs Robots, and many many others) – another one really worth a try.

That’s it, have a great week, and head to www.playstationcomics.com for more info or to view our full catalog and pricing.

  • UNO! Jenga! First!!!!

  • Nice update again. Two weeks of DC love and im broke as a joke. Will eventually get them just have to wait a while.

  • As well as Wonder Woman #600, High Moon #1 is free too.

  • I would ask some questions and maybe make a comment, but Grace Chen doesn’t seem to care about SCEA customers enough to reply to comments very often, as evidenced by all the unanswered questions in the last Store Update blog post.
So instead, I’ll just say thank you to the Digital Comics team for another great update.

  • @danscloud9 What’s your question?

  • When are we going to see the Teen Titans?

  • Will any answers be provided to some of the questions in the Games side of the store for this week? Specifically the whereabouts of Fieldrunners & the dynamic themes which were mentioned at E3 and on the recent Blog Post indicating these items were part of the PS+ subscription launch. If these will be part of content role out later in July, or something else, a clarification of some sort would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should really let PSP users rate and see the ratings on contents on PSP store.

    Ohhh and Motion comics please.

  • Green Lantern: Secret Origin #2 and High Moon #1.. Are HOTT.. a 10 out of 10… THE FAZEONES LOUNGE

  • Canada?

  • yeah is it coming to canada july 1 22001100?

  • @ #5 snowcrashed: My questions are, when is Cages #4 coming out? Also, why doesn’t Image publish more comics on the store? They’d sell like hotcakes! :)
And my comment is, Its awesome that DC has given away so many free comics! I’ve never read much DC, but after reading some of those freebies, I’m going to start buying them.

  • Aww, still no more Sonic? :(

  • F1REFLY_SEREN1TY

I would like to make some purchases. I love comics. But PSP is too small a screen. And it’s not available on PS3 where I can use a giant HD screen…..

  • I think it’s silly that these still don’t work on PS3. Sony, you’re just throwing away free money. I would never have bought a single PSP mini until you guys enabled them to work on PS3, and now I’ve bought like 4 and love them. Enable comics to work on PS3, and I’ll start buying them too.

  • i second what whatisdelicious said

  • Good clean fun

  • Gotta add more funds to my wallet soon.

  • @danscloud9 At the moment Image Comics come via a 3rd party, so neither us nor Image have control of what or when they supply the content. We are working to bring you more comics from Image! Cages #4 will be with us eventually – I haven’t got a date yet. Check out DMZ if you are beginning to read DC – it’s great.

@Stuffgamer1 We have more Sonic in QA at the moment – there were a couple of problems but they should be with us soon.

  • I luv comics, but rather game than read =P

  • DC digicomic on PSP sucks, it suffers from both poor scan quality and undeniable high price, it’s very identical to to Marvel

BTW, i have bought more than 100 digicomics from PSP store, most of them are from IDW and Disney

  • is awsome have comics when do you like

  • NICE_AIM_GRANDMA

    PLEASE add more Sonic comics
