  • Drive Shaft! Is there a contest for a Mary statue filled with heroin?

  • where are the LBP marvel characters?

  • awesome BLURRRRR

  • Cool, not only a great update but early too! But where oh where is the great “Castle Crashers?!” “Deathspank” should keep me plenty occupied, but I’d love to know how far along CC is in the verification process.

Also, I’d really, really like to see some good games come out in the PS1 Classics line. You all at Sony have honestly released a lot of questionable so-called “classics” in the American store. Please let the appearance of SF Alpha 3 avatars indicate that perhaps that game is indeed in the pipeline. Or how about “Tenchu” or “Chrono Trigger PS1” or some of the other true classics?

Anyway, thanks for the stellar update to the PS Store.

  • Seriously? what’s up with the Psp content? can we see some support please! and i mean actual good games like Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate ninja heros 3, Phantasy Star Portable, a discount on some games like Tekken 6, Monster Hunter Freedom (or maybe get the past games on the Psn)

  • oops. just noticed that block game is a PS3 game ported to PSP, guess i can just read the PS3 reviews

  • Hi Grace,

Can you please clear up some confusion in regards to PS+ subscription content and the contradictory statements we’ve had over the last few weeks on the PS Blog.

Last week you had indicated that PS+ add-on content that’s Free will generally expire should you choose not to renew your subscription.

However another blog posting (https://blog.playstation.com/2010/06/24/playstation-plus-your-questions-answered/) states:

“Each month there will be dynamic themes, premium avatars and premium game elements/add-ons for you to download and many will be exclusive to PlayStation Plus members only. These are yours to keep forever once you have downloaded them.”

PS+ subscribers would like some clarification as to whether their freebie DLC (in this case, the Tik Games add-ons) will expire or are yours to keep beyond the terms of your subscription.

    Thanks

  • cmon sony more ps1 classics please.

  • Glad I didn’t buy a PSPGo – I’d be pissed with it’s level of support.

2 new games though… not too bad.

But what makes it really worth it is the cash milking those sports-games buyers are getting this week. $30 of unlocks for a $60 game that is darn near identical game-play wise to the PS1/2 / Xbox / N64 version.

    Fools.

(Can you tell I hate the corporate money milking that sports games are?)

  • Blacklight: Tango Down isnt out on PSN till august-ish, or so I read

  • Seems like a pretty bad update this week for PSP owners. The demo aside, there basically was no update this week.

  • None of the free items stated for Playstation Plus members are free. Please check the update Grace.

  • Can us plus subscribers expect to see at least 1 thing each week, even it is something small as an avatar or theme? If so, that is huge in my book to see something for us every update.

  • Nothing exciting here for me this week. The BFBC2: Vietnam vid got my attention.

I would like to see Autobot and Decepticon logo avatars. I’ve wanted them ever since I got on PSN.

    *Proud PS+ member

  • To Ro’s responses on @9 and @13:

I hope you don’t expect us to accept Disney games as “true” classics.

As a paying customer, you guys should release some information as to why only a handful of games that made the original PlayStation (you know, the reason there was a 2 and 3) sell so well. Even if you guys are too cheap to pay the original developers royalties for some of them, actual feedback would be most appreciated.

  • you said FIRST at E3 Live, “FREE ADD ON for PSN+ users”.
    now look at you,
you are selling resistance 2 add on
and super stardust hd add on

please stop taking your customers for dumbs peoples.

    and pls stop lying.

  • Oh god where o where is eart worm Jim Sony please answere

  • go monkey go mojo jojo……anyway…on a more serious note, can we at least get a confirmation (an ‘aye’ or ‘nay’ will do rather fine) that we are going to get Vagrant Story or Xenogears in the US PS Store? Maybe then we can stop all this asking and repeating of ourselves. I know I am tired of asking and I am sure you are tired of hearing it as well……hello……are you listening to me, to the fans, to all of these other curious and demanding gamers out here and there…….HELLOOOOO! Waiting on an answer to this question is like waiting on the device to be invented that can catch a fart in a cage…….is it gonna happen???????????????????????

  • I thought that Q-Games announced that Pixeljunk Racers 2nd Lap was coming out today?

  • @Samus4145

they already give avatars and themes every week
can you pls stop wandering here…

  • Where is Earthworm Jim???!!! It released on the 360 on June 9th and it had a 1 month exclusivity. According to my calculations, that means, it should of released this week.

I don’t understand why we are always kept guessing and wondering?! How hard is it to give us a precise date?! SERIOUSLY, get your act together and treat your loyal customers with a little more respect! This is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!!

P.S. Stop answering the questions that you only feel like and ignoring the others. WE DESERVE ANSWERS!!!

    End of rant.

Signed: @#$%& Annoyed at your lack of professionalism!

  • Im starting to regret purchasing PS+ we keep getting “old” content(avatars and themes)

    also 2 questions

    1. are games purchased under PS+ discount ours to keep after subscription is over?

    2. are trophies ours to keep after subscription is over to PS+?
    (ex. wipeout HD)

  • oh yeah! where is the LBP Marvel Costume pack 2…..huh? Aren’t these suppose to come out every week for the next four weeks with a total of 20 costumes in all…….

  • Yay Deathspank!

  • I think the ‘true classic’ Ro is speaking of , now this is just a guess as Disney games are hardly classics, is Crash Team Racing. Its been on Esrb for a few weeks now. I’ll definitely snag that one. Also I want Tomba!

  • Nothing good for me in this update. Oh well, there’s always next week.

  • Man, it’d be really nice to look up at the release list there and see Xenogears one day in the near future… Shame I’ve lost all hope at ever seeing a nice stream of true ‘classic’ PSone Games at this point. I’ll now be entering each week with no expectations.

  • Hey Ro,

Do you know if the “Blur Multiplayer Demo” has an option for a single-player mode? or do you absolutely have to play it with more than one player? Because I’m getting the game as a belated birthday gift pretty soon, and i’m wondering if the demo has a single-player option so i can try it out.

    Thanks!

  • Any clue on the new PAIN DLC? They advertised the new level and stuff when they released PAIN 3D. I assumed we’d have it by now.

  • I agree with solidmic FREE EARTWORM JIM (by free I mean release as we all know Sony gives nothing free)

  • Im just wondering if sony will ever release Legend of Dragoon on the psn I have been waiting forever for some type of new of this even being thought of. I never got to finish it that would be a great game to release. also still waiting for that Plus in playstation plus whats going on?!? weres the betas and stuff I see people that arent plus members and got medal of honor beta what happen to that get select beta first and demo… come on sony.. oo and thanks for the update Grace.

  • @ Dead Cell,

Alpine releases on September 28th. We will have a new pinball mode before then. That’s prom development itself and on the PAIN Team’s blog. I know it’s a lot longer than expected.

  • How about including a game video for Deep Black – the upcoming 3rd-person underwater shooter game that’s due to release in Q1 2011 on the PS3?

What’s hold up for PSone Classics Ro?

    Ro Hernandez | July 13th, 2010 at 2:16 pm
More inbound… expect a ‘true’ classic release next week!

    TABBYG87 | July 13th, 2010 at 2:03 pm
Where are the Disney classics that Sony said was confirmed for this week

    Ro Hernandez | July 13th, 2010 at 2:17 pm
We’ll be rolling those out shortly…

So i guess that means, no castle crashers next week either….and by shortly does that mean like a month or two?

  • everybody keeps talking about Crappy RPGs that i don’t give a hoot about; ALL I WANT IS JARRETT & LABONTE STOCK CAR RACING AS A PSONE CLASSIC AND I’LL BE HAPPY!!!!!

(oh, and EA Replay for PSP. that too)

  • So upset I can cry microsofts exclusive contraact for eartworm Jim expired on the 9th SONY where is eartworm Jim !!!!!

  • Wow. So you drop $60 on NCAA Football 2011, and then you get on PSN and start dropping more $$$ to unlock things? Wow.

  • I think PLUS has already pay for it self when it comes to me. $50+ well spend

  • i just want my free movie damn it !!

  • @solidmic

    SONY = Master of Disguise
    lol

  • Wow, that was it, hunh. A huge list of worthless NCAA Football add-ons that a shaved, inbred monkey wouldn’t accidentally purchase, and a ton of quotes from some game updates. Hmmm. Compelling.

  • @Cyb3rfr34k-iso amen to that…..

  • Silent Hill: Origins was supposed to be dropped to $9.99 last month. But it is still for sale at $14.99. What happened?

  • Thanks for the free PS+ content. Will enjoy my LBP avatar and MAG themes. Will probably wait to see if Landit Bandit ever goes on sale before buying.

  • to everyone asking about the marvel little big planet characters. they are released every OTHER week. if you check out the marvel website they have more info and have released a preview of spidey for next weeks dlc.

  • Groovin Blocks for the PSP. I can’t believe I bought a PSP Go, this is the crap we get instead of the classic games like Crisis Core. This is bolshevism.

  • Quick question.
Will PLUS always have a weekly update as well as the Monthly update with the free PS1, PSN, Mini game?

  • Need PS1 classics!!!!

  • Thanks for the update, currently downloading Deathspank. Really loving the PS+ support to. When I first signed up I was figuring on a once a month thing seeing as how we were told 1 of each of those games per month. But its nice to see weekly goodies added even if they are just themes(which I love btw, nomnom themes)and discounted games.

If I see some sweet content in the next couple months I have a feeling I’ll be ready to re sub in 14 months!

  • ok, at first i thought PS+ members would get free games each week, cuz we got them last Tuesday and the one before, but I guess it’s just each month huh? That makes sense cuz the past 2 Tuesdays were different months. but at least we get a free something each week, even if it is just avatars and themes, it’s better than nothing right? :)
