Sonia Im's Avatar Posted by on Jul 22, 2010 // Assistant Director of Public Relations, Square Enix

So, that RPG I’ve been Tweeting about?

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling together is coming to the PSP! We’ll be announcing the release timing later on. In the meantime, here are some screenshots for your viewing pleasure!

The reason why I am so excited about this is that the original team will be developing it. Who’s on that original team?

Awesome line-up, huh? Check out the press release here and the official site.

Will definitely look into it.

I do have a question Sonia, is SE of America planning on bring digital releases of their past PSone games on the PSN?

Nice to see Square doing something with this IP. Been sitting stagnant for to long and quite shameful the abuse the Final Fantasy name has been getting in recent years trying to expand into other genres (though I enjoyed FFT and understand why FFT existed in the first place).

I’ll be glad to pick up this title and I’m really looking forward to its release.

Can we get Vagrant Story and other PSOne classics soon as well? Will Square be releasing a new and original RPG in the future? Chrono Trigger 3? Paper or Plastic?

I am so happy to see this series *finally* making a comeback. Now we need the other 3 games to get the same treatment, then a new Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle game. :)

This is great news. I’m very excited for this game. But, when are we going to be able to purchase all of the squaresoft psp games through the psn store. Where is psp version of ff tactis, ff 1 and 2, valkery profile, crisis core, ect? It’s upsetting that the ipod touch is getting ports of the psp games, when they are not available for us to download via the psn store. Also, please bring all of your ps1 rpgs to the store for download. Many people have been asking for them for a while. Thanks

this kicks so much ace its not funny! I loved this game when I was a kid! I have wanted to replay it for a very very very long time!

I wish you guys would bring these kinds of games to the PS3. I hope that you guys know that not all PS3 games need to have cutting edge life-like graphics. I’m just tired of the handhelds being the only place that games with these battle systems show up on.

I seriously cried tears of joy when I saw this news.

Day one buy.

A few questions for you Sonia:

1) Are we EVER going to see our PS3 version of The Last Remnant?

2) Will SE be more aggressive about getting PSone Classics to North America in the future?

3) Is SE looking into HD remakes of it’s popular PS2 games(FFX, X-2, XII) like the God of War Collection & Sly Collection?

Thanks for your time. :)

Thank you!

Turn-based RPGs have dissapeared, yet there are still thousands of buyers willing to get their hands on them.

I will be buying this game!

Will there be a UMD release?

Some of the best news I’ve yet to read this generation, and that’s no hyperbole. I have been a fan of Quest since Ogre battle, and am both shocked and elated that the original “dream team” is back together.

I humbly request some sort of special edition with artbook and soundtrack, since I am a huge fan of everyone on that original team list.

Day one.

Im such a big fan! I could not be any more excited to see this hit the stores. I was considering a PSP for my PS3 for some of the titles but this just sealed the deal. Thanks Square!

I concur! Where are Vagrant Story, Xenogears, and Saga Frontier? I’ve been craving them like a pregnant woman needs peanut butter covered pickles.

Never finished this on my PSX.. Will have to do so on my PSP Slim, preferably on my Go (hinthint)!

The best news in gaming for me in a long time. Such a huge fan of this game and the ogre series in general. I mean we even got the original people working on this?! It’s almost too good to be true.

Can’t wait!

Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. It’s been a super hectic couple of months!

I can’t promise how many or who- And it may take a bit of time as I think I’m literally going to be home for only 2 days in the next month(traveling for work stuff). But I’m hoping I can get some fan qs answered by the team.

Sound good?
