I am sad to say that I did not attend Comic-Con this year. I’m particularly bummed to have missed out on David Jaffe and Scott Campbell’s Twisted Metal panel — you never know what those guys will say next! And, being the uber-nerd that I am, I would have loved to have seen The Walking Dead and True Blood booths, as well as the Scott Pilgrim screening. Ah, well. There’s always next year!

On the bright side, my trip to New York City early in the week was a fruitful one. I got hands-on time with games like Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (radically different than the old-school Tomb Raider you know), Tron: Evolution (Lightcycles in stereoscopic 3D!), Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition with PlayStation Move support (super-precise aiming with a much simpler UI), and a ton of other great games. Look for more details next week as I transform my scrambled thoughts into sweet, sweet words.

      Its all about inFAMOUS 2 for me. Can’t wait for that game. Going to be second best game release next year behind The Last Guardian :)

      Hey Sid, will the regular edition of RE5 have Move support as well?

      I already have the game and bought the DLC, so my game has the same features as the Gold edition.

        Only the “Gold Edition” (any of them) will work, not the original version — this is for a technical reason of some kind, as I understand it. The existing Gold Editions will be getting a patch, but not the original RE5 versions.

      Hey Sid! It is sad that you didn’t go to Comic-Con, but at least you got to do something in favor of games. I was very surprised to see Kevin Butler post on the PlayStation Blog (I didn’t see that coming!)

        Ugh, haven’t had much gaming time lately (this week was pretty fast paced), and what little time I have had has been going to catching up on True Blood and Fringe :-) But Red Dead (and Singularity!) are tops on my list moving forward.

      Sid: I’d like to bring an issue to your (Sony’s) attention. The video for Day 1 coverage of SDCC (HD) on the video side of the PSN Store doesn’t play. Every attempt to play it nets the message “This content cannot be played (80028801).”

      Follow-up: Seems that only the HD version is affected. The SD version plays normally.

      Kane & Lynch 2 demo and the game is out on the 20th August is NEWS of the year
      it is nice to see a game who kick out the kids

      don’t bother asking for updates on PSN+ content in advance. SCEA has clearly decided to not announce any of it in advance. Every other region providing 2 months in advance from the start hasn’t caused them to change their decision yet so I don’t think it ever will.

      Gotta love it when companies dig their heels in and stick to horrible decisions.

      I guess I touched a nerve, but my comment regarding lack of replies on the ps store update blog was taken out. (I bet they didn’t like the fact that I mentioned Grace or compared it to the GODLY eu blog). Fair enough, sorry to bother you sid. i won’t post here again since i’m not getting any closer as to why the us blog ps store update questions get ignored.
