Be glad you can play your PS3 at all! I cant because my tv broke amd im bored as all hell.
Hmm, leys compare Modnation Racers to Red Dead Redemption:
Both came out on the same date, yet in 2 months Red Dead Redemption has been patched up the bugs, had a dlc mission pack and confirmed 4 more dlc packs. Modnation racers we have had no significantly good dlc (apart from maybe sweet tooth) and we are still waiting for a patch on one of the buggiest games out at the moment. This is looking fairly lame however I don’t think I have ever got excited for a patch release date!
Glad the patch is en route. Hopefully we’ll see it sooner than later.
Maybe someone here can help me. I bought a 250gb PS3 a couple weeks ago and backed up all my old data onto the new one via the data transfer utility. The next time I boot up Modnation, all my user created content is gone. But in the Game Data Utility, the User Created Content folder is still there with 11mb worth of data. Can the game not see my creations, or was the data corrupted on its way over to my new system?
Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to UFG, San Diego Studios and SCE for one helluva game!
@ Ramone Russell , whats with the terrible picks for track of the week and hot lap, is stealthreborn your mate or something. seems like you just pick these at randomly, do you even race on them?
I’m just hoping they patch the 250K trophy and lvl30 trophy. These are the only 2 before I plat the game. I’m all for hard challenges…which by the way these aren’t, there actually easy but stupidly time consuming.
I’m hoping create trophy comes down to 2.5k or 25k and that they ramp up XP for winning and series wins so getting lvl30 will be quicker…notice I said quicker..not easier..you still have to win the races and series which can be hard.

What a laugh. Maybe Naughty Dog or Insomniac should have been commissioned to make this game.
Team 649 well they are on top the top 3 rite now. Well they are remixin peoples creations publishIng them without doin a single change, then they a bunch of friends use the same creation(mod/kart) n start racing on races of 1 lap to get a large number of races (like 500 or more races) in 1 single day so the other day they appear in top mods/karts remember races count as create XP too. Like 2 points for each race with the mod for example they are like 5 people using the same mod in 1 race that mod wins 10 whole points in one race! So 500 races a day with at least 5 people using the same mod/kart equals 1000 create XP in one day thats almost impossible to beat to get to top mods/karts in other words they are boosting! Plz reply
@36 I most of the time enable my creation for remixing, with all this cheaters? No way. But Im tired of seen other peoples stuff stolen cuz they were dumb enough knowing of this cheaters and continue to do so like iamwallaman i think he likes them doing this. And they are getting downloads without any work because people in other words lil kids download everythin they see in top mods/karts.
My bad it equals even more i dont know what i was thinking lol well it equals like 5000 create XP aprox.

What’s up with the Hot Lap today? The modnation monday playstation blog stated my track (Mount St. Salad Climb) was to be featured as todays (tuesday 7/27) Hot Lap, but there’s some buggy track up instead called Alpine stadium. The blog also has that same track as one of the tracks of the week, but has MY description for MY track under it instead. Did you mean to feature my track as one of the tracks of the week AND hot lap? If so, I’m getting screwed out of exposure for my track. Please fix!
The more I think about this the less faith I have in the people working on this game. This shows that they probably don’t even download and test the tracks they choose. Today’s hot lap is a buggy, poorly designed track and the current hot lap leaders have lap times under 1 second because of that. They obviously didn’t test this track at all before it went up.
I hate it when people cry “I can’t beat this game!”
Has everyone forgotten the term “Nintendo hard”? Old school games that as kids we were able to beat?
Society is full of young people who were born by the time XBox, PS2 and Gamecube started and think every game should be easy. Where are the people who think games should be challenging? Without a challenge, it will get boring after a while.
Now you coerced a company who had a good, challenging game into bending over and taking it from the people who can’t handle the CPU sideswiping them or bombarding them on the last lap.

Is level 30 with 500,000 XP going to be reduced in the patch? 500,000 XP is way too much. I honestly think it should be reduced to 350,000 or so.
This game is taking forever to platinum because of level 30.
Can’t believe they still haven’t patched this game. That’s it for me, I’ll try it again if there is a ModNation 2.

I’m not sure if it is. I also hope so. I’ve heard the Create XP trophy is being patched.
Personally I’d rather see them crank up the amount of XP for winning a series then 500k would be achievable. If you got 5k say for winning a series it would be better.

UFG have raised the amount of create XP. Start the game up & you’ll see. I just got 38000xp.
@73 I got about 54,000 create XP when I’m online. Thats pretty generous of them.

No, you won’t see me in the ModSpot until there’s actually a patch ready to be downloaded.
I feel like they gifted me the 2 last trophies after that “fix” XP thing … I didnt earn them! They gave me more than 4,000,000 create XP!! -_- u guyz just killed the game’s life span. U guyz made the game to easy now eventually they pass the game n leave.. Done… include more levels or sumthin a prestige? More trophies? DLC but not only for mods/karts tracks too. I dont know do sumthin! I just got the Platinum n i dnt see anythin else to do than playin for fun whith my friends but unfortunatley they are leavin the game cuz it is to easy now -_- well ill keep playin it but its getting boring now.

@76 It’s not UFG’s fault, it’s the people who keep complaining about the 2 gold trophies, so UFG change the Create XP’s multiplier to make it easier to get them. You can’t earn anything by doing nothing. Besides, games are meant to be fun.
ok i’m usually upset that the update didn’t come yet but i think i am happy that finally it will coming soon. i appreciate the fact that you actually update every monday even if it’s just to say it’s coming soon. there’s alotta hopes of what the patch what will do but really all i care about is shortening the load times. i play this game with friends and its killer to laugh and having then we all just stop cuz we’re still waiting for the loading and some impatient prick goes lets play something else cuz it’s taking too long and you know how everyone jumps on the wagon and so we move to another game. so anyway thanks ufg for making a great game and i can finally play with friends so they don’t complain “not that game! it takes too long!”

… you guys have probably been asked this before, but is there anyway you could add more track materials? And also adding more themes for the tracks would be pretty cool, too, like a tundra theme or a space theme. Are there any plans on doing any of this as DLC or something?

Track parts/theme DLC is coming but they “cant talk about it yet”.

Region-lock removal! Why did you forget to make the online region free?! I wanna play with my friend from other regions!!
I have both the PS3 and the PSP version of Modnation Racers. On my PSP I can’t get on-line, says go to Activate. I’ve written Sony but no response yet. The game was bought new, not used.
Same probelm with Gran Turismo. Any ideas how to fix this?
Just wondering if this patch will include adding local multiplayer for online XP races (?). I realize only player one would receive XP but it’s still more fun to play with another person locally online and get XP at the same time (just sayin’).
