Heres some updates you should think about,

1. Be able to play music while playing all games, if the system is capable of it.

2.Voice chatrooms instead of text

3. Maybe instead of releasing little updates have them all packed into 1, i had no idea what the last update was about, i had to research to find out, plus having a big update makes everyone exited

4. be able to play ps3 games

5.enable a skype program in the system, this way you can really get the edge over xbox

6. Auto delete inbox (like set a maximum of only the last 10 messages recieved stay in the inbox)

7. Be able to install certian programs, (msn, skype...ect)

8.Update internet browser, Facebook chat wont work, flash games, ect

Well theres what i would like to see, i think they would satisfy a lot of people, and abotut he ps2 games, theres a file in the PS store you can download that lets you play ps2 games, but it dont work, you can also make a internal ps2 memory card, which makes no sense if you cant play ps2 games

How do I disable the new recommendations thing?

It takes a few seconds longer than I'd like to for it to load and I can't just click through to download what I selected.

Extremely annoying!

On this last update there was a changes to the photo gallery. I really only have one complaint about it. The music that plays when you first open the photo gallery used to be play on the slideshow and now it's pulling music from my GT5 prologue which is totally unrelaxing. Please bring back that track as an option when viewing the slideshow. I'm viewing vacation photos not racing a Ford GT!

I recently updated my '07 80gb fat ps3 with v3.41 with no problems. Played ALL of my games and blu-rays flawlessly. Then I tried to go to the playstation store a few days later and it told me I needed to update to the latest version. Before I noticed that it was still v3.41 I chose to update. And Lo and Behold..WTF!! It won't read my ps3 games. I got 17 ps3 games and it will only read and play Resistance Fall of Man, and that's only after I insert the game several times. Plays ALL of my PS2 games, CD's and DVD's with no problem. Just not blu-ray disc. I really hope Sony realizes this problem and fixes it. v3.42 perhaps?

3.41 Firmware Update Downloading Problem:

Downloading this update via internet connection yields a small percentage, 9-22%, of download and then stops. Please advise how to correct this problem, via internet connection. As you well know, one can't perform online activities without the completion of the download. Thank you in advance for your help.

I guess I've been bricked too. Won't connect to network, wired or wireless. I have been reading a lot of comments, and noticed a lot of complainning. I too am upset, and would like this fixed. However, we the PSN do not pay a yearly fee to enjoy the online services. I think this might be their way (Sony's) of introducing a yearly fee, for all the work they put into keeping the system "up to date". I have a 360 Elite, but I do not use it, as I love(d) my PS3 way too much. Looks like I will be paying a yearly price now, and buying f'n games (since my wife bought me the Elite, and it only came with Left for Dead 2). Thanks Playstation, looks like I will be selling all my games, and a brick console. Good idea on a POS update. Oh, something about cross game chat.
