Wow, this month is even weaker than the last one. If it wasn’t for the Automatic Updates, I would have dropped PS+ already…
Awesome!!!! To those that are complaining that Sony is takin stuff away, they said this since the beginning. Again with the complaining…its getting sick to the point where im losing hope in mankind. If nothing interests you dont post, dont get mad or dont spread the hate or watever. You guys just wait till all the features are here and stop being immature. To those who are subscibers and satisfied so far like me, keep playing games and dont mind to watever anybody else says. Atleast Im getting a good deal, personally. Thanks for the content, Sony! BTW Syphon Filtor does not hold up lol but i still try to play it.
I can’t believe how stupid and whiny some of you people can be. I can’t understand how some of you don’t understand what bi-weekly means and that the date 8/10 is the next PS+ update. yes we were getting PS+ every week before but Sony is changing that starting this week. Ya it sucks a little but oh well. It doesn’t make me disappointed in them or being a PS+ subscriber.
Hell one guy said that he was about about PS+ costing $50 and this is the thanks we get from Sony. Then he says he’s not a subscriber. What the hell are you complaining about. You never spent the money.
I actually already owned most of the stuff that has been offered with PS+ but I also got 3 free months so I kinda consider these the free months.
Get over it cry babies. If you don’t like the content or the cost don’t bother with it.
And so it begins, just like how Qore members content got worse and worse.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Sony wasn’t going to keep rolling out PS+ updates along with the normal store updates. That just wouldn’t make much sense. And mark my words “IT will get better”. Look at whats already being offered, 3 types of games, one PSN, one PS1 classic, and a mini. And thats per month. Plus BETAS. There are none yet but know that when the PS3 DCU Online Beta and others like FFXIV and The Agency come, that PS+ subscribers will get first dibs.And with auto-download imagine when the next Firmware comes out you don’t have to even turn on your PS3. See i’m a hardcore Sony fanboy(oops!) Had a 60gig launch model but replaced it with a slim before it YLODed(though it hasn’t yet) and got the PSPgo so i’m loving PS+.
This is a huge fail on Sony’s part.
Playstation Plus is already dead and it’s only been a month.
I also partially blame Grace Chen. She has been ruining PSN for years. Fire her before she kills the Playstation bran altogether.
This has been a complete waste of money for me. I cannot foresee myself reupping once my subscription is over. The offerings, even up to this point, have been sparse and lame. Now, it’s going to a biweekly delivery. I will complain and whine. This is not what I thought it was going to be…
I’m not going to complain about the plus service I’ve spen many hours on the minis, games, and DLC, and found it was worth my money.
I am however very dissapointed in Sony’s lake of communication. The info on “bi-weekley” content should have been released last week telling us that we wouldn’t be getting content next week. Horrible marketing, “ohh yeah by the way you get nothing this week”. Also, are there “months” to plus, whats the cutoff, what do we recive, is there any plan? Why do our questions go unanswerd, not even “ohh just wait and see”, just ignored till we wait for another spur of the moment blog post if we’re lucky.
They really need to inform the blog staff on what is going on with plus and other features. The only questions they seem to answer are ones that are probably already in the post or just in another post on the blog.
Sony you need to “Elevate your game” when it comes to communication.
Dont like the fact that PS+ is only every other week. Just an excuse to not give us more games. Update this week was pretty bad by the way. Hopefully we get a better full game like Wipeout HD soon. Critter Crunch was really boring after a while. Fun and cuteish but just a drag really to keep doing the same thing over and over again. Just my opinion. Doesnt mean thats what everyone thinks though.
I want to see a list I am getting a month before. None of this bi-weekly BS! So far it seems if you never bought MINIS this is a good deal, I really think Sony has to re-think on what they are doing with Plus, it SUCKS so far!!

@201 people are having a hard time seeing value in plus , as well as i , although Iam going to give it a fair try … however , if it doesnt just prove to be nothing more than a repository for aged matierial , i dont think it practical . especially since i can use that money to grab new releases . if kept for 3 years … how much could you have purchased with that cash ? heck… just one year …. yeah you wouldnt get as much quantity , but people put value in quality as well . games are not wine . people have a tendency to shun them in favor of newer games .
Hour long demo-wise, I’m a bit bummed, as I already own the games being offered. Same goes for many of the discounted/free items. So far the only thing that’s made it really worth while for me has been the automatic downloads, which is kind of sad. Still, I’m sure as time goes on the service will improve and with the move to bi-weekly updates, eventually what’s on tap will be of more interest to us long time PS3 owners.
WHAT!…okay im a loyal customer of sony um i could of sworn we was told new features was coming to playstation plus every month correct me if im wrong @ “E3” now we have to wait every 2 weeks for plus updates!? i mean wow. i would love to shut my brother up about xbox getting owned by sony but im running out of trash talk reason…hopefully we can get a new feature soon so i can up my arsenal PLEASE!
looking at what xbox has for their 50$ service then looking at ps3s coupon and discount club, one could start to complain.
tons of party features, like cross game chat and voice messages, while ps3 only has text chats and text messaging.
microsofts software and sonys hardware would prob make gaming pretty good if they combined.
you know i have always and probably always will be a playstation supporter but this is by far the biggest dissapointment i’ve had so far in my experience with playstation. all though i would rather preffer them over other competitors it seems to me that playstation (at the moment) is failing to satisfy their customers. hopefully the quality of the content will be improve or else people will lose faith in sony

oh and just so you know if you don’t cancel your subscription manually, they will automatically charge your credit card again for the next year. read that in the fine print. start dishing out some good content sony, you don’t want to loose the loyal fanboys you have..

False Advertising? Anyway you can add Wipeout HD to my account since I could not get it for free?
For all those complaining about the complainers, and specifically those who are saying – “it’s only the first month or so, give them time” – you shouldn’t take up a career in marketing.
Sony should have done a much better start to this so people are all on here applauding and getting more people to sign up. Sony may not care about the people who have already signed up, but they are most certainly losing sales of PS+ by starting off slowly. The first 2 months should have been newer games to get people to sign up and then they could have started unloading all the crap later. Like they did with years 1 and 2 of Core.
I am a subscriber and am in it for the long haul and won’t make any judgments about renewing 2 months into a 15 month contract but I think it is obvious to anyone with half a brain that Sony could have started this better, advertised it better, and spelled out the rules and regulations better. Having such a disparity between the US and EU isn’t helping either. It’s called the WORLD WIDE Web.
Oh, and if I were Grace I wouldn’t respond to half the stuff on here either, but 30 or 35 responses to real questions would help.

Funny that they are using the term ‘biweekly’ since it could mean twice a week, just a case of wanting to cause further confusion to potential Plus subscribers.
Anyways, I won’t [DELETED] about the service since there’s a long way to go, but to me this… every other week… thing is so that Sony doesn’t feel like they HAVE to give Plus subscribers Avatars and themes.
Honestly there’s very little about PS+ that surprises me but it bears commenting anyways. As for the people that call PS+ ‘for the hardcore’, that’s funny, since it’s clearly a service that you would only find a lot of value in if you more casually play games, and don’t feel the need to play everything you want the moment it arrives. That’s where I am, I don’t plan to buy too many games, it’s the only reason I bought the service. It actually gives me a reason to stop buying games and still find a use for my ps3.

I’m starting to have regrets about getting the full one year subscription. I guess I should have gotten the 3 month deal.
So far I have told all my PSN friends to not get PS+ and all have listened to me except for one. And the one friend that did get it is not happy with the service.
I Know Its Kinda Bad Right Now But It Just Started It Will Get Better I Mean Why Would They Give Us The Good Dlc’s And 1 Hour Demos At the Beginning Then Give Us These Games Later On Just Wait The Better Games And Dlc’s will come.

Here’s my first month’s assessment of Playstation Plus (I started in Week 2):
I already owned the first two free PS3 games (Wipeout and Critter Crunch). I also own the PS1 disc of Syphon Filter and the download was a freebie for Qore subscribers a long time ago (I gave my code away). So far not looking like a great deal, right?
BUT, I definitely would have bought the Magic Orbz add-ons at some point in the future as I own the core game and enjoy it a lot. So that was $8.97 worth of content that I would definitely have spent eventually. Because I bought the 15-month deal, Plus costs $3.33 a month so in the first month I came out ahead by $5.64 just counting items I had already intended to buy.
In addition, I got a whole bunch of stuff for free that I probably wouldn’t have paid for but were a nice addition to the $5.64 “virtual cheque” I’d already “received”. This included Rally Cross, 3 minis, add-ons for a couple of other games, avatars, themes and a bunch of discounts (I got Hamsterball for $3.99).
I came out ahead and I didn’t even get one of the free PS3 games. I really can’t see how anyone could not find $3.33 worth of value in this each month.
Wow, talk about a bait and switch. Sell us on weekly updates and fantastic content, then churn out crap on a bi-weekly basis. Had I known this is what PlayStation Plus was going to be, I wouldd have saved myself $50.
Used to be a PS supporter. I have all versions of playstation.
Was considering going ahead and buying a 3 month sub to plus. Not now, not ever.
All my ps3 system gets used for now is games for the kids and playing Dvd’s.
I think Sony needs to do something to attract people to PS+ besides offering old titles. They need to start offering discounts on new games. With my subscription I’m hesitant to buy anything anymore on the store anymore to see if it is free down the road. Why waste money on a game now if it will be offered as a plus offer down the road? Especially when I can’t get a replacement. For example, I want to get Joe Danger but waiting to see if it included in Plus. Waste of my money if I buy it now and it is free down the road. So give me an incentive Sony to buy the game now and not feel like I was ripped off if it is offered as a freebie in the future.
mywhitenoise has a good point. As much as the P+ is looking good to me (I regret not getting it before Age of Zombies got kicked off the FREE list), the service doesn’t seem geared toward hardcore gamers. Red faction demo is laughable when a new Red Faction game has been announced. Also, I heard the hour long trials are clocked by your ps3, so if you don’t play through the whole hour in one sitting, you’ll have lost all your trial-time. Can anyone confirm whether this is true or not?

And nice to see discounts like the Summer Sale. There were some sweet deals in that package. Especially Monsters (Probably). That was a pleasant surprise I would not have discovered if not for the $2.50 price.

hmmm, looks like Plus Users arent getting the Assassin’s Creed 2 beta either…i was really hopping we’d get this along with the DC Universe Beta. Also, I hope Red Faction isnt like 30 buck or something cause you can find it NEW in stores for 15 bucks. Anyway, i still have faith that PS+ will get better.
why are we gettin full game trials for games we bought 2 years ago almost?? and when are we gonna get some new features like cross game chat, or anything? only 1 we have now is the auto download which most people probably don’t even use. i don’t because i want to see what the update is gonna do.
Why is everything on P+ so old. 90% of the stuff that were gettin for free or discounted i have already paid the full price for. i didn’t even really buy it 4 the games or discounts, i bought it 4 the features but don’t got any yet. how are you gonna give us Resistance 2 DLC for 50% off when it is years old and anyone who has the game their is a 99.9% chance they already got it?? you should of had a discount for interdiction (MAG) both started close to each other, but no we get some 2 year old stuff. let me guess in september we will be gettin the 3 KillZone 2 Map Packs for 50% off even though KillZone 3 will be comin soon
psn+ needs to get serious about competing with xbox live man! and so far they are not doing that much of a good job. i love the wipeout HD and critter crunch but everything else has been pretty much old games. and rally cross??? wtf was that all about? that game was a disaster to gaming – it even looks much much worse now that we have PS3! what was sony thinking? did they really think that ppl wanted that crap? it felt as if sony was just throwing in any old thing that they can afford to give away for free. we paid for plus so give us PLUS!!! time to put xbox live to shame sony! you need to step up your game! as it is your deals and bargains are not making the masses want to become plus members and you definitely need to fix that. make it juicy and irresistable! i know you can do it sony… make me believe
I doubt i will get an answer to this question, but is red faction guerilla going to be available as a full game download like infamous? or will it just be a trial. I have a lot of psn cash burning a hole in my pocket and this game is available @ a store near me used for 14.99 and i want to pick it up buy i would prefer to buy it in a digital format.
So who knows if you guys will read this but you said one thing but did something else. You have no mention of taking down the Fat Princess DLC but you guys did. You mention taking down the Resistance 2 DLC pack but that is still there in the store. That is the nature of the Playstation Plus store as of this posting. What gives? Not very pleased at all.
