This Friday in SF: Experience PlayStation Move, Win Prizes and Lounge in Kevin Butler’s Office

Jeff Rubenstein's Avatar Posted by Sr. Social Media Manager

As you know, the PlayStation Move will be available this weekend, and to help give you a preview of the fun times ahead, we’ve set up “PlayStation HQ” locations in cities throughout the U.S. so you can get some hands-on time with the games before launch.

I haven’t had a chance to drop by and prop my feet on Kevin Butler’s desk, so I’m planning to rectify that this Friday. Why don’t you join me? I promise to bring along pizza, schwag, and even some PlayStation Move bundles and software to raffle off to those who visit.

San Francisco store front

The cool thing about these venues is, we’re granting hands-on time with some of these Move-enabled games that most people have never tried. Here’s the title list for Friday night’s meet-up:

Plan to arrive early, as we only have space for about 200 friends. You can RSVP here.

The details:

Friday, September 17
Location: 658 Market Street, San Francisco
Time: 6 – 9 pm
RSVP: on Facebook

What do you like on your pizza?
Hope to see you there!

Totally digging those Move pillars by the doors. Wish I could go check them out first hand, but the next time I visit San Fran won’t be until November, and even then it’ll be just for a weekend.

How about swinging back up by Seattle? Pax was sold out before I even knew about it!

I mean, it’s only a 2 1/2 hour drive from Fresno, where I live. What do I do!? I really want pizza and I really want to play these games with Move, especially LBP2.

@Jeff

I said it in another post but, there are a lot of people in the middle of the country that would like to attend one of these events. We have a Sony Style in the Cherry Creek (#1 shopping tourist attraction ok the county) mall that would be happy to host corpo reps. I even believe there is an DOS office downtown. You could totally write it off as business for the blog by checking in with them on current and upcoming projects. Let me know what I can do to make it happen.

If you need to save budget money to put one of these events on in Denver you are welcome to stay with my wife and I.

Sincerely,
RedGiant17

I’m in Oregon, I know that’s a lot closer than the east coast but its still a helluva drive (which costs a lot of money these days). I really wish I could go It would be cool if you guys had some kind of event in Portland, or even better Eugene, someday.

I have a Move Sports Champions bundle and an extra move controller preordered. I’m really excited for MAG, Under Siege, Heavy Rain, Time Crisis Razing Storm, Socom 4, Killzone 3, The Fight, and possibly Resident Evil 5 Gold and maybe even Eyepet, I hear good things about that one. By the way Under Siege looks awesome, I personally think it should get a retail release. And I hope you guys have a sword/hack and slash/RPG type Move game in the works! Maybe Demon’s Souls 2 with Move? Now that would be awesome.

I went to a Move expo in NYC and the game that blew me away was Kung FU Live… This will be the next Fat princess for Psn.. Sony PLEASE buy Virtural Air Guitar company and lock up the tecnology before the Kinect Goonies get a hand on it! I repeat Buy This tec asap and market against Kinect… as a Plus suscriber and a stock holder I fear how the Kinect would use this tec to crush the move!

The door prize for all of us that do not live in California is the fact that we do not live in California. Even if I was offered lifetime admission to all these great Sony events (which they are great) plus the entire contents of the California state coffers (or $1 whichever is greater), I’d happily stay here in Florida.

It would be cool if KB would tour the US, and hold gatherings of playstation fans in states that dont have any meet ups near… Ponder that idea :)

Also, will Sony or Playstation or the PS Blog be holding any events at this upcoming Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas?!?!?
