    This wonderful game got screwed by launching at the wrong time – up against two other arcade racers (blur + split second – though I think MNR outsold them all) and a myriad of other huge releases (Red Dead Redemption). It also launched with some issues that made enjoying it difficult, like super long load time and punishing AI in the single player.

    Despite all of that, the game is extremely beloved by those that got it, me included. And the subsequent patches have improved the weaker areas of the game quite a bit. What we have now is GOTY material.

    I truly hope this price drop brings in more sales. This game deserves better than what it got in its May launch. It would be nice if Sony also ran a TV spot about the game.

    And I really, really, really hope there is work being done on a Modnation 2.

    So this is the “Big and Awesome news”? What a waste. I was expecting something more, something bigger, something better but of course not. Not a word about track DLC, or any better DLC for that matter. All the hype that was built up yesterday just to tell us the game is getting a price drop and avatars? Epic Fail.

    What a load of rubbish, we were expecting something that might actually benefit us lot that actually own the game, but no, the “BIG” news is you guys get to make more money. Terrific. Why don’t you start managing this game properly, rotating top tracks, putting the correct tracks as hotlaps, YOUR ENTIRE OPERATION IS A MESS, so please, do us all a favour and start putting in the effort!

    i would like the developers to put in a battle mode ala mario kart cause i think that is the only thing this game is missing. just imagine making a battle arena and having 12 players battle it out in teams or free for alls. of course more weapon and item varieties would be needed, but i do think it could be done and you can sell it as dlc on the store i would buy it.

    So many tracks, wish there was an easier way to find the good and fun ones besides the 1 or 2 that are highlighted here each week? It takes too long to sort through them all, although it was easy to type in a name and find their tracks that way. But besides that it is hard to find a diamond in the rough among the many creators out there! Any ideas devs?

    I got ModNation on the first week, and it is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

    The patches have been good, and there’s a great new community website and more tracks being made each day.

    I’m not playing it so much now because I’ve got a Burnout license to unlock… but I will be back :D

    Guys, if you make a ModNation 2, please remember what LBP did, and make all the tracks from MNR work in MNR2

    PS: Any chance of new environments or some weather effects? It doesn’t need to look like GT5… but some rain or snow would be nice

    Is there any chance of 4 player online split-screen being patched in and other new multiplayer modes via DLC? 4 player offline racing is fun, but the lack of multiplayer variety is the only big thing this game is missing IMO.

    Hi, I am planning on purchasing MNR tonight, and I would like to know if it will be this price at Wal-mart? I was on their website and it says it costs $59.83… will this be changing?

    Chuck you asked me last night why and one reason are the insanely difficult trophies or so I’ve heard lol I expected MNR to be a casually fun experience, not a major grind fest.

      We were able to update the game so the super hard trophies are easier to earn and a Casual mode so the AI isn’t as tough. No more grindage, just karting fun.

    Question though, Have loading times been shortened since released? Or is that still being patched up?
