PlayStation Around the Web: What We Read

You might’ve known that we’ll be in Canada this week for a metrically-huge meetup (RSVP here), but here’s something you didn’t know: We’re also going to be in NYC this week for a super intimate, exclusive PlayStation Move meetup event. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone!

In other news, I finally went hands on with NBA 2K11 (they were demoing the full version of the game on a trio of giant Bravias at the SonyStyle Store around here), and I’ve got to say – it’s pretty damn awesome (IGN agrees). Don’t forget… it’s also PlayStation Move compatible.

Hey Jeff, I will buy NBA 2K11 this week. I have been playing the 2K series for years now. Just want to know if you got a chance to play it with the Move, if so how did it feel? Be honest please!

Jeff,

Torchlight is rumored to come to consoles around the holidays.

I think getting Runic games on the blog would nice. At least to know if its true or not.

I would love for Torchlight to come to PSN or come after Torchlight 2 with them both on one disc. Either way I really hope this game does turn out to come to the PS3. More crawlers please.

Any info would be appreciated.

@Jeff: I can hardly wait to read more info about the NYC meetup coming this week. I’ve already visited the Sony PS Move store in NYC and enjoyed trying out the archery game. The store is a bit on the small side though.

  Yes, and the meetup will be limited in size because of that. Unlike our typical first-come-first-served meetups (when we have room for a few hundred), we’re going to have a list format. Again, more details soon – perhaps tomorrow.

Would still love to know when Netflix IS app is launching in NA? The app is finalized (hence why Canada got it with their Netflix launch this week) so it’d be most kind of you guys up at SCEA to let us Americans know when we can expect to not have to put a disc in anymore. Thanks.

I’m really looking forward to Stranger’s Wrath. I played the orignal on X-box and liked it a lot. I’m sure the PS3 verison will be even better! Can’t wait to play it. Also, very happy about Beyond Good & Evil HD. Played that one on the Gamecube and liked it a lot too. Its nice to see these classic games get another shot!

A little off topic, but WOW so far the WSH @ PHI has been a BIG LET DOWN!! I was looking forward to this game the whole week (cause of the great story line). Now Vick goes down!! Dam it, the only football game I cared about other then my Broncos, and now this!! At least my Broncos won!! I know Jeff is a Philly fan, that is why I am brining this up, and I also want to see Philly win this game!
