Where are the cave, capcom or snk games that import fans would like to play?

So, seriously, when are you planning on making PNS+ worth the $50 we plopped down on it? Really regretting pissing away my money on this “service”.

It pains me to say this as a huge PlayStation supporter, but PlayStation Plus really does suck. I’ve been a member since the beginning and almost every week I look forward to a relatively mediocre update.

Money isn’t really the problem. The problem is time. And the truth is, PS Plus offerings aren’t worth my time.

Sure it’s nice to do these things, but after a few months of letting the service develop, I’ve come to the conclusion that unless things improve drastically, there’s no reason to renew my subscription when the time comes.

@DeadCell34
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I’ve no problem with buying games physically, been doing it forever. My internet speed isn’t considered top tier and PSN d/l speeds range from bad to great, but there should be no quarrel over wanting the option to d/l games VS buying them at retail.

We both want games just in a different manner. I prefer d/l since they’re always there. I got SSFIV for $30 a little while back but I’ve only played a few hours of it here and there. Were it always in my system ready to play I certainly would’ve put far more time into it.

As most games are multi-platform they fall under the 7gb mark. Some are even close to the size of their game installs (DMC4 as an example needs 5gb of hdd space whereas the full version is 6gb). Theres even a few PSN games larger than some disc based games.

The more games on PSN the better. It ties into my original post where I said we keep seeing the same old games go on sale. More games be they old or day & date can lead to more variety in terms of sales, price drops, bundles, even PS+ deals. Plus the more games on PSN the more likely future PSs will be BC with the PS3. After all, locking people out of their past digital purchases would be suicide.

Now I just checked the PS Plus section and it finally did update with everything, except for the Assassions Creed 2 BrotherHood MP Beta was not shown in the store, and now I do see your reply to one of my fellow gamers that codes will be going out this week to us PS + subscribers!

Thank you for replying and thank you, and your bosses for finally letting ALL PS+ subscribers have access to the AC2:B MP Beta! (and not, “for some”)

Just to pile on, I’m not satisfied with Plus and will not renew at this rate. I’m not enraged with the mediocre updates like some dudes on here are, but I am not impressed.

And if AC beta was for select members you should have promoted it that way, the post about it here today felt like it was aimed at everyone. Really poorly done. I think Plus was even initially advertised by using the AC beta as an incentive.

lets make an example if i buy a playstation game and the xbox game have an exclusive content, i can understand the situation, but if is the same console, why it isn’t the same exclusives?
we both pay the same amount of money for the “+” so we deserve the same exclusives to every one with plus!

I can see your point. Its no big deal. I really shouldn’t have said anything. We have difference in opinion of how we prefer to play games, simple as that haha.

Oh yea, DMC4 was a joke. The 5GB install was the sole reason why I didn’t buy it (I only had a 40GB HDD at the time). I heard the series is going down hill anyway. DMC3 was the best, followed by DMC1…. I heard DMC4 sucked and it appears that this new “DMC” is gonna be a joke.

But I agree, the more PSN games on the store… the better. I guess I’m one thats become very picky about games. I don’t just play anything. For instance, people’s interest in games like Brutal Legend, Dante’s Inferno, and such. I knew Brutal Legend would hit the bargain bin early, so I can wait haha. I just don’t buy games unless I’ve build up some hype for them or if they just really appeal to me. With PSN, Dead Nation and Sonic 4 are the only games I’m looking forward to.

Megamixer,
For the most part, I agree with you on being able to download, some of the games. Like many, I love buying the game, opening it up,going thru manual, and popping in the disc. Over the years most companies have decided to forgo the manual, and “save” money by chincing out on a few pages of details on the game, modes, weapons, accessories etc.

Last December I called Sony Support because I was upgrading my PS3′s hard drive to 500GB, the Tech was a bleeping moron & he actually made me reformat my entire PS3 HD and NOT the Ext. HD, I told him I was backing up too. All the progress I made previous 3 +years, gone. Like for Resistance 2, level 40+, each class maxxed out, ribbons etc.. wiped clean. 3+ years of games, saves, game settings, demo’s, freebies, Qore episodes, the 34 CD’s I manually installed. I had 350+ items previously downloaded, & I had to redo it all over again. I did that and 29 hours later, while most of the games etc were back, ALL the games I played, were gone.
So while I do like downloading what I want, havng to redownload EVERYTHING, gets real old, real fast to the point of, why bother.

@154…. While that might be known now if people read about it when PS+ launched there was no mention of such things and just that there would be exclusive betas. Many people joined on that basis and then a couple of months later finally found out the truth after they already subscribed. Kind of like they lure you in with weekly updates and then before you know it they are bi-weekly. Seems that they lured people in on lies and false advertising to get early subscribers instead of being honest from the start like they should have to me.

Even more annoying my friend who isn’t even a PS+ member was able to get into the beta due to sites giving away beta codes. How is it exclusive to PS+ when PS+ members are not getting into it and non-PS+ members are? Sure seems like a silly definition of exclusive.

Also beyond stupid removing the paid discount content after a short period of time IMO. Free content should be monthly but discounted content that needs purchased should be permanent.

Amazing…

4 weeks since Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep’s release in retail, and still nothing for Psp Go users.

Frankly, I’m just not even shocked at how Sony continues to drop the ball with their services and handheld.

You guys seriously blew it last week with nothing for Castlevania before the release. And honestly, releasing a demo after a release is just silly. The whole point of putting a demo before a release is to build hype FOR the release. When the game comes out, hardly anyone will give a crap about the demo anymore.

My biggest issue with you, Sony, is still how you market your “handheld”.

You have held little to none of your promises for your North America stores, when we are one of your biggest customer’s. Microsoft and Nintendo are the top dogs in the video game industry for a reason: they appeal to ALL of their customer’s. The moment you ceased BC with PS3, it went downhill.

And honestly, if you really think you can beat Nintendo at their own game, I believe the end result’s will speak for themselves.

Who am I kidding? No one from Sony will care about this post.

I read somewhere that Europe PSN is getting Front Mission 3 (PS1). Could NA also get it too? We’re severely lacking strategy games PSP.

Have you guys stopped doing PS1 classics in favor of imports? It’s nice that you offer the imports for the very small minority that wants them, but I’ll take some localized games please…

Please update the prices of the psp games to match their umd counterparts. Many of the $40.00 psp games offered in the psn store can be bought for $20 or less. I know new PS3 greatest hits were recently released; were are the new psp greatest hits?

Dear Sony,
I am incredibly disappointed in what you have done to Playstation Plus members, I bought the Plus membership just last week exclusively to gain access to the Assassin Creed Beta after reading on the Europe PS Blog that Plus Members now have access to it, i found out later that for us in the US we have to wait until 4th to gain access, no problem just have to wait a week.

So today i look on the PSN Store and can’t find the beta anywhere to download only to check the US PS Blog and read under comments a responsive from Grace Chen saying “Invites to the beta are being sent to select Plus members via email this week”

Grace Chen says “Select Plus Members” meaning not everyone gets access, which in my case means i just completely got screwed and waisted my money, I am not the type of gamer that plays the PSN exclusive titles, or would play PS1 games… I buy ps3 disc games so now i would never get my money worth from my brand new Plus membership. I wont be renewing Plus membership since the only thing i liked was beta access and now that i know its for “Select Members” i’ll know not to get scammed again when other beta’s come out like Killzone 3 or Uncharted 3 beta….. Very Very Disappointed -.-
