Gran Turismo 5 Release Update

909 0

We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

We’ll have more information for you in the near future.

  • I already moved on weeks ago… cancelled pre-order… will buy game used in like a year. From private vendor. And no PD wont get a penny of my money. Used from a private seller is off the books.

  • Promises, promises and big expectations.
How about some action or a harakiri.

  • yer maybe this delay isnt so big as the past ones but still i and many others have been waiting for years for this so its not a month delay is now two years to my count by the time it comes out if it does at all id expect many people wont buy it just because of frustration and that could hurt pd…yet we all still wait…note: i would have gone to nvs HP but the demo wouldnt let me play it because the game was released now im not gonna buy a nfs game without a trial because all ps3 nfs games have been beyond bad so now im anoyed with them as well lol…i wait

  • Considering this is one of the biggest titles on any format this generation the level of imcompetence displayed by sony is mind boggling. If i had anything at all i knew was goin to make me many millions i would have blanket ads in all the media prepping the general public and building the level of anticipation.

Instead what do get, a missed release date with NO explanation whatsoever, no new release date, no new information or anything whatsoever just silence, this despite videos appearing online showing a lucky few people playing the game already.

Its an insult the way sony and PD have and continue to treat us fans that made them what they are.

Everyone should hold off buyin new and buy the game (if it ever drops….) used, that way we still get to play the game but sony/PD dont get a penny, its the only way we have of showing our disgust at being treated with such contempt for so long.

  • @907: Release dates are subject to change…

I would rather they take as much time as needed and deliver a game that they feel is ready to be released…than rush a game out just to get massive sales and then work on another one for next year…it’s not like GT comes out every year…we know this already being GT fans…They release them far apart because each of them has a good amount of development time.

IMO, you need to understand that you are not a Sony or PD employee, you do not know what kind of problems they’ve had, you do not know what they have to be delivering on, and you do Not know if your rant is warranted…So let it go.

…Game will be awesome, all will be forgotten when it’s released, at least in my (And many others’) mind.

Seems holiday season and before next year means a day before the new year.
