Loves me some LBP stinks LBP2 got deleyed much like another beloved Sony game. Hopefully LBP2 will get a solid release date so GAF is not back bombing these blog posts with another botched release.

Re: the Space Suit, I believe that was a timed exclusive for the LBP1 launch in 2008, so don’t think that one is ever coming back.
LBP2 is going to be insane, with amazing things done with LBP level creator in the first one, its hard to imagine the level of awesomeness some people will create.
I take it these replaced the previously named “Power Gloves”. They look different, but do the exact same thing as those did, at least from what I saw in the videos. Either way, I am SO AMPED for this game. Even more than…. GRAN TURISMO 5.
Yeah, Power Gloves was an early name, and all the visuals in the past were placeholder (earlier versions I’ve seen are glowing hands, and big hands…)

Looks amazing as always. It’s a shame I won’t be able to play it with my family when we are all off on Christmas break. But given how big this game is going to be, I’m sure we’ll be playing it for many holidays to come.

i really want the sackboy plushie with the CE…but nothing against you guys, LBP just isn’t my style of game…we’ll see how christmas goes in the gamestop giftcard department though

I only wish the videos went straight to the PlayStation Store cause my aging Mac plays the videos like a slideshow! Videos here seem slower than most all other sites I visit.

looks great!! i got a question tho about the little big planet collectors edition i wont be able to preorder it till jan 1st which is on my b-day will i be able to get a copy or will they be gone by then?
You should still be able to pre-order one by early January. Just don’t wait until the week prior to launch – that’s when all ‘sack’ breaks loose and pre-orders go thru the roof!
So the Grabinators are being resized? In the video the just look like gloves, but in the beta they are a lot bigger.

I’ve been on the fence about LBP since I played the demo. I know it’s the most common complaint, but the floaty controls don’t do it for me.
However, this Grabinator has caught my attention more than anything else I’ve seen in LBP2. This makes me want to check it out.
Still, I wish they’d offer an official alternative to the standard sackboy controls rather than saying that we could create whatever new kind of character we want.
Can’t wait. I’m very happy that you guys decided to delay the game in order to make it better and polish it. While I’d like it this holiday, I’m glad you guys put the time in, in order to make sure everything was working just right.
2011 is going to be an insane year. Twisted Metal, LBP 2, KZ3, R3, possibly Uncharted 3, Infamous 2! I’m going to be incredibly broke. Yet, I will be quite happy about it.
It’s good that LBP2 has a confirmed release date. It’s nice to have some sort of communication between those people high up in the clouds and us little people down here. Two months from release, but at least it has a date.
In a similar vein of thought it would be nice if Sony could take some time out of their busy day from all the “highly visible” GT5 promotion they are doing, to let us little people know when we might expect this game to arrive. That is of course assuming they themselves have even the vaguest idea.

It would be really cool if you could combine power ups. Like the creatinator with the grabinator gloves, or the grappling hook with the creatinator, or even have the creatinator shoot out the grappling hook while you hold onto something with the gloves.

Not sure you’ll be able to do all that, but with that kind of imagination, I can’t wait to see what you do with the CREATE tools.
Hi, why is there sudden jump when using the Grabinator? Everything is so physics based in LBP, the sudden jump of objects to hand doesn’t look good. It could at least fly to your hand really fast. You could disable collisions during the fly animation if you are afraid of collisions, it would look nicer while not breaking anything along the way..

A one time delay is not a bad thing. At least we have a solid release date AND we’re getting a better game too. Some of those levels I’ve seen from the beta build are just astounding.
Now if only we could get confirmation on the other PS3 exclusive’s release date.
