Here’s a few ways to free up space…

Delete any save files/game data files for games you no longer own.
Back up any MP3s onto a player and delete them from your PS3.
Videos can be big. Dump any you no longer watch.
If you’re REALLY tight for space, delete downloaded PSN games.

Down the road, you might want to look into installing a larger hard drive. For around $80-90 you can get a 2.5 inch SATA drive. Installation instructions are in your PS3 owner’s manual and it doesn’t take long to do.

    Hope this helps…

  • Guys….

    this thing still needs work…
graphics, music, framerate, eveything…..(I LOVE THE PICS THOUGH)….
    kaz……lets fix them ASAP

  • Any chance we could import our own MP3s into the music library?

That would be a nice addition!

  • @104 – RapidfireRay.

You can play your own music, just import the MP3 music onto the PS3 HDD and within GT 5 there’s an option to play music from the PS3 HDD.

It will even award you a trophy just by turning your music on to play from the PS3 HDD !

  • This game is just amazing !

Not sure why some aren’t giving it good reviews, but everything I’ve seen, I’ve been really impressed.

Played all last night and didn’t see any screen tearing or have any problems being online.

I tried the game with the controller as well as the Wheel and I have to say I love driving with the wheel….so much more realistic !

  • @ RapidfireRay
thanx for the ideas really appreciate it :)

  • how do u play songs while u are playing gt5??

  • I agree wholeheartedly with GGCAN. the game is simply amazing and I have yet to come across any terrible issues. this game was one heck of a wait but in my opinion it was well worth the wait and I know it will be keeping me busy for months upon months upon months to come!!

Go to the options menu – hardware.
Where the PS controllers are, scroll to the right until you find the audio settings. Look for the Personal BGM setting and access your MP3 list from there. Select a playlist and turn on the tunes.

  • COD_456

    Follow these instructions:
    1. From the main menu (where you select GT Mode, Arcade Mode, etc.), select “Options”.
    2. Move down to the “Hardware” section.
    3. Scroll right until you reach “Audio” and select that option.
    4. Move down to the subsection of “Personal BGM” and make sure you check the box next to “Enable Personal BGM (Race)”.
    5. Click on “Select Personal BGM (Race)”. This will bring up your music section from the XMB.
    6. OPTIONAL: Click “Play Mode” on the right of your music files under “Group Content” and turn “Shuffle” on or off, and select your preferred “Repeat” setting.
    7. Select the music track you want to play.

All done. You can’t change the menu music, but you can turn it off if you want.

  • thanx for that :)

  • Hi, can anyone help me with my trophy sync? Because I try to get it to sync but it says error…please help!

  • id like to know what the 2 updates are for… anyone know where this information can be found…? on the game, it just simply says GT5 was updated… but what for…? 1.01 and 1.02…

loving the game… it has my all-time favorite GT car, and some new faves as well…

  • Nevermind, fixed it!

  • i thought we could listen to our own soundtracks in this game?

  • People, GT5 has to many problems…I don’t know why or what’s wrong but when I finish any race the car keeps running and I can’t even get back to the restart, exit or continue menu when I press start on the race and when I quit the game to get to the system menu it beeps twice and I don’t know why…can some one tell me if the same thing is happening to you with this game???

  • Enjoyed watching the “Finale” movie last night.
Still plenty more racing to do.

  • After playing the game for a few days I would have to say the game is quite impressive. The bad things that they said about the game on IGN are true however I do believe some of the issues can be fixed with patches in the future.

My biggest gripe with the game is the 3D convergence issue I have with the game in 3D mode. (At least I believe it is a convergence issue?) On my new Panasonic 50″ 3DTV when playing the game in 3D mode while watching certain parts of the game I can see some double images which should not be there. Anytime something comes to the foreground to where it should be sticking out of the TV I get double imaging issues.

Also the more 3D depth of field I add to the game the more doubling of images I get. I dont think its an issue with the 3DTV as some other 3D games like Tumble and Swords and Soldiers work fine, as do the demos on my PC using the GTX 470 card. I hope this can be fixed in a patch or something.I have tried all the settings in the game and cannot get the game to display perfectly in 3D. :(

  • Sony, I’ve been in touch with a lot of people that still don’t own a PS3. According to them, a bundle with GT5 and a racing wheel would be a no brainer sell for them.

    Consider this :)

  • Will any of the pre-order dlc cars be available for purchase via PSN store?

  • GT5 SUCKS SAVE MONEY AND GO GET GT4

  • all i ned is ( ) love (x) GT5

  • Update: Polyphony, I took a break from finals to play GT5. In the museum, I saw a card for the Subaru Alcyone SVX!!! Thanks again for the hard work. I really appreciate how well you are keeping up with the community.
Playstation, that is one awesome commercial with Kevin Butler, Boombassador of Deals, and Best Buy.
    To everyone else, Happy Holidays!
