Hello, everyone! Enrique Galvez and Adam Milecki here to, once again, bring you news of Rockin’ Android’s latest PlayStation Network release for your PS3: Qlione Evolve! Qlione Evolve is more than what you’ll see on its liquid surface. First, the Qlione Evolve bundle includes two games; Qlione and Qlione 2, at an unbeatable price. Second, the games’ shoot-’em-up-like appearance gives way to something more akin to anti-shoot-’em-ups. Let’s examine this, shall we?
In a laboratory, you might see whole other worlds under the lens of a microscope. In Qlione Evolve, you’ll attempt to subsist in similar, but much more dangerous, ecosystems. It’s a microbe-eat-microbe world in the liquid spaces of Qlione Evolve. As a tiny inhabitant in this microscopic top-view 2D world, your humble attempts to evolve will be in constant jeopardy as you are attacked (even shot at!) by the other denizens. Luckily, your strange little creature can spawn bombs and traps that push and pull the surrounding liquid environment, making for turbulent physics-based battles. This is the unprecedented concept that makes these games, what we like to call, “anti-shoot-’em-ups.”
Evolve is more than just the name of this bundle. While your goal in Qlione is to simply survive, Qlione 2 has you evolving, and even devolving, in an attempt to find the optimal form to fight off your assailants. The thumping, bass-heavy techno soundtrack will be encouraging you all along the way. With the Qlione Evolve bundle, you get both complete games and their PSN extras like custom soundtracks, online leaderboards and Trophies. Plunge into a creative take on a complex world beyond what our eyes can see. Let Qlione Evolve pull you in when it hits PSN this Tuesday for $6.99.
Stay tuned newcomers and Rockin’ Android fans alike. We’re just getting started!
Luvs it
Looks like a great mash-up of some of my favorite PSN games: flOw, Gravity Crash, and Blast Factor.
does this game render in 1080p natively? if not, does it use MSAA to upscale from the 720p render to 1080p?
one of the things I loved most about Blast Factor was the awesome surround sound and audio quality. does this game have 24-bit HD audio as well?
any plans for a local co-op mode? I’d gladly pay another couple of dollars for such an add-on.
Looks awesome, likely a day one purchase for me depending on the answers to the questions! :)
Looks pretty fun, custom soundtracks always peak my interest, should be a must in all psn titles.
looks like geometry wars in a way, no?
looks great fun, and for that price is is irresistable…
Game(s) looks really interesting, I’m just a bit confused. Do players have to be the last thing standing to complete a level?
WTF was that $7 are you crazy or do you think I am.
I am not paying $7 for an old 80’s game someone forgot
to release 20 years ago.
sounds interesting… though the pic/video/whatever was in the gap isn’t working for me.
I’m on IE6 though so that could be it…
looks like geometry wars and flow.
If the game title has a completely nonsensical made up word in it… that’s an automatic – 10 cool points. I’ve already moved on.
What about a picture or a video ?
Something to figure out how this game looks like.
Cool. And only $7, automatic buy.
Rockin’ Android = insta-buy!!! :D
looking nice! =D I’ll surely buy one day, but right now I bought too many games, I’ll wait a bit for this one (just bought GT5, GOW3, POP-TFT, KZ2 and Dead Nation to complement my Dead Rising 2… ouch, my budget!! lol).
Someone tell sony Q’s have U’s after them.
looks pretty interesting i may end up getting it once i get paid.
looks like a pretty blatant flow ripoff, i’ll stick to the original ;)
@Vu_Prime It’s a variant of the word Clione, which IS a real word and is actually related to the game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clione
