Hi Everyone! There’s been a lot of talk about what shooter games will be like using motion control. We know that some of you gamers might be a bit hesitant to put down the gamepad, but we believe the upcoming PlayStation Move sharp shooter will make motion control for shooter games quite irresistible. Available concurrently with the highly anticipated Killzone 3 in Feb 2011 for $39.99 (MSRP), the sharp shooter is perfect for gamers who want to experience the most realistic action possible.

Sharp shooter

The PlayStation Move sharp shooter houses both the motion controller and navigation controller, giving you complete control over aiming, movement and interaction within the game. It will truly offer the most intuitive and immersive control experience ever found in a shooter game. It was designed for both comfort and precision, including easily accessible buttons, a responsive digital trigger, adjustable shoulder stock and convenient access to the navigation controller. In addition, the sharp shooter has incorporated a firing mode selector, realistic pump-action and a reload button that allow for new ways of engagement.

So what games will you be able to use the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter with? The PlayStation Move sharp shooter was designed specifically with games such as Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs in mind and even comes with a Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4 sticker pack. Other compatible titles include Time Crisis: Razing Storm and Dead Space Extraction, but you can expect many more upcoming games that will work with it as well.

Jungle Green DS3 controller

We have some more peripherals news to share with you. In addition to the PlayStation Move sharp shooter, a new “Jungle Green” DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller will also be available in February 2011 for $54.99 (MSRP), to coincide with the upcoming launch of Killzone 3. There is already a wide array of colors available in the DUALSHOCK 3 family. Tailored to the core fan, the new “Jungle Green” controller will add yet another option for you to accessorize.

We hope you’re all as excited to get your hands on the PlayStation Move sharp shooter or the “Jungle Green” DS3 controller as we are. Enjoy!

  • Nice! Green is my ultimate favorite color! But why haven’t you guy’s dropped the price of these expensive controller’s as of yet?. That’s ridiculous charging for each of these controller’s ERSB $54.99 then comes that high tax as well.. Oh yeah also why the back side darker?..Neon Green would have been even sexier! It look’s alright but new controller’s are not by all mean’s cheap Sony try perhaps $29.99 or $39.99 bucks?..

  • I think this has been asked before but does it work with MAG or not? I’m really thinking about picking up MAG, and now I really want it, but if it doesn’t work with the game that would suck…

Also, the controller looks awesome! I think the combination of green and black makes it so much more the awesome! Don’t get why people complain. Oh well, different taste I suppose

  • Color? Seriously? Man all you guys do is whine.

  • I always thought of these add-ons to just be gimmicks – but when I got the Move, I noticed I did need a little help. Everytime I played MAG I would usually try and position my hands as if I was holding a rifle and I noticed it made everything a hell of a lot more easier and funner too. I will most definitely be picking up the gun attachment when it is available.

  • @ Brook-O_C

Yes the Move works with MAG. In the big 2.0 update they added a bunch of new fixes and features, including the option to use Move as your alternative to the Dualshock. I always had a hard time using the Move on MAG and found myself trying to hold both the nav and wand in a rifle like motion. I found it to work a lot better and this is just icing on the cake!

  • it looks incredible. ya the color is awful but, i want to see it in action. see what it can realy do!

  • Will it work on the new ghost recon future solder that comes out next year?
And it sould be camuflaged so it looks more solder like.

  • Is the new DS3 controller a limited time thing? Or will it always be around?

  • I’ve seen some 3rd party attachments for the Move that place the navigation controller at the rear of the gun. it seems to work better in front of it as this attachment shows, giving a better grip over the game’s control. The idea of having a submachine gun shape instead of a machine gun is cool so it doesn’t look like a resized weapon. It won’t look too toy-ish.

It’s sad it can not be black.

The only issue is the number of games that will work properly with it. What about 3rd party FPS games? Sony should talk to these guys. Playing Modern Warfare 2 or Bad Co. 2 with it would be mind blowing.

  • man this just came out when i finally got the ps move attachment tho this definately does feel better !

  • The Sharp Shooter attachment actually looks really well designed, I’m not normally an attachment kind of guy but I think I’m going to pick that up with Killzone 3.

Same with the Jungle Green DS3 controller, that looks really cool, I’ll pick that up next time I need a new DS3

Great job guys, keep it up!

  • almost everyone

  • move gun dude i like it mite not be what i want but o well im buying it anyway $40 sound good wish i can play it on cod “BLACK OPS” and if you dont like the coler send it to get painted that what i did for p3….lol

  • I’m concern is about the grip..it looks to have an awkward tilt.. that said..If it functions well…I’ll buy. As far as the color….it could have been worst…it could have been orange.

  • the wait is over!!!!!!!! sexy gun !!!!!!!!

    whens the release?

  • Looks great but $40 is too high. It doesn’t matter what it has on it, it’s price point is really bad especially considering you need a $50 Move and $30 Nav controller.

$20-30 max for a peripheral like this. Maybe you can bundle it with KZ3 for $80 and sell a few.

I’m not trying to be rude, I’m a huge Sony fan but I’m convinced you guys miss the target on the sharp shooter.

  • About time and the DS3 looks nice in green.

  • Will Sony release transparent controllers like they did for PS1 and 2?

  • I hate the placement of the second move controller. I think it should be in the grip of the gun, making it a bit easier to control, but that’s my opinion. However the controller should be at least black. And the jungle green controller needs to just be 1 color or better blended, that just looks dumb.

  • Already have the move bundle but still needs to buy the navigation controller($29.99) in addition to the sharp shooter($39.99) and the game killzone 3 ($59.99)
    a total of $130 !!! aaah

without move bundle would be $99.99 + $130 , a total of $230 !!! ,you could buy a ps3 console with such price on ebay !

  • the sharp shooter is a good piece of motion control, and ive seen it in action on Gamespot, but it would be make a big difference if they made it look, ” not cheap ” cuz it looks like something cheap that will break easily, and the color is horrible.

  • You guys solved the problem that all of the other third party options have: easy access to the triangle, square, buttons!!! You know, just to change weapons o reload, nothing too important especially while playing online. First day buy for me.

  • Not sure why people are bashing it, you don’t have to have it to play the game.

  • I am very disappointed, yuo guy are make RED BLUE SILVER and this one but not making Playstation 3s to match with this

  • I really like having the face buttons on the gun but as a left handed person i have to say that this gun is going to be junk for left handed people. since, i’d imagine most left handed gamers out there learned how to use the left side of a playstation controller with their left hands which is also what the navi control is in a nutshell, and they also learned how to use gun accessories with their left hands that means they will have to use their bad hand for one or the other.

for left handed people i recommend the battle rifle by ICON im not trying to promote anything here but having the navi control in the pistol grip is ideal for left handed people. you can comfortably use your good hand to aim the gun and move around which i dont have to tell you is the two most important things you can do in a FPS.

i doubt sony is concerned about their left handed market but if somebody is reading this please take some notes and hopefully i might get lucky enough to see a left handed shooting accessory from SONY.

  • Sony needs to allow turning by twisting the move left or right instead of aiming at the edge of the screen… the problem with move is that unlike the wii… the move only has one thumb stick…. this was a fatal flaw for playing fps because turning is imperative in fps… The problem with aiming at the edge of the screen is that it can disorient new players and always had a disadvantage over duel shock players because they always have to move their cross hairs from the edge and that takes precious time and makes it harder to acquire targets… Please go to my blog and vote to have Sony include this simpler turning option to their fps…

  • There’s a video on Youtube of someone using the Sharp Shooter with Killzone 3.

  • is the jungle green dualshock 3 all green or black and green

  • This seems like a question I wouldn’t need an answer to but…

This will be a worldwide sold item correct? Also, I understand the colours and whatnot, but knowing Killzone 3 is Helghast colours and whatnot. What about the gun you’re using to kill em all? Why not a Black/Orange gun? Or orange/black? Just another or “special” colour scheme to make it more outstanding to look at rather than a simple one colour “gun”. Just a thought, but I do infact want to get it both the controller and the game. Can’t wait!

  • Awsome Awesome!! Great Price. Will be buying this in February!! To the people who complain about it it costing $39.99 you all probably waste that much money a month on stupid Tim Hortons / Dunkin Donuts coffee anyway. I think $39.99 is PERFECT.

  • If this could be included in a bundle w/ the move controller, the nav controller and the eye i pbly would buy it but why all the separate purchases? OOH i just got an idea, HOW ABOUT A PLAYSTATION EYE, THATS RED LYK THE HELGHAST GOGGLES! lol + idk why ppl are complaining so much it looks fine in white, if u want something that looks lyk a real gun go buy a bb gun or spend a couple grand on an assault rifle ~_~

  • Why is everybody hatin on the jungle green controller. In my opinion the jungle green with the black bottom looks sick.

  • This looks like the best gun design for any console I have seen yet. It looks comparable to the one I built from scratch for PC shooters although mine is gyro based and includes a light weight 20″ screen on the end of the gun. A gyro works best if the game view stays with the gun as it needs no fixed point of reference.

Much like mine, this production gun looks to be designed for ergonomic comfort and function which is the most important feature for extended play. I only jumped back into consoles(PS3) because the MOVE finally offers something new to the PS3 and is closer to mouse aim control for FPS.

Trust me, you will be able to play with this thing from the hip or lap, you won’t have to hold it up in the air with your face on the stock. You will have way better small motor control meaning precision with how steady 2 handed MOVE operation is though.

  • Forgot to mention $39 bucks is a steal for this thing which isn’t just a shell as it has active relocated buttons, not just a mechanical trigger offset. I will be getting it upon release.

The prototype gun I built for PC back in 2007 must have at least $800 in off the shelf components all Frankensteined together in a toy Uzi. I have been making modifications on it since and it is only getting better but it’s just for PC.

For you guys complaining about color and “It doesn’t look real enough”, it’s a toy game gun controller to have some fun at home playing shooting games with, WTH? If you want REAL then go get the proper training and go buy or rent a real gun at the target range and learn how to shoot. Your 39 bucks is gone in 200 shots of 9mm though.

  • Black ops compatible??
