This Thursday, December 23rd marks the return of one of the most popular games to ever grace the PlayStation Home platform. The Xi Museum – a commemorative game space constructed solely for fans of the PlayStation Home exclusive Alternate Reality Game – consists of an updated Alumni hub plus three AlphaZone 1 spaces (Hexopolis, Maximum Tilt and the Text Adventure room) and four AlphaZone 3 mazes. Play a variety of games in this collection of historic spaces to unlock a slew of collectible ornaments and explore the mysterious world of Xi.
The new and improved Alumni hub also includes a Xi Museum Shop, which has 11 unique items for sale – including full-size Maximum Tilt bikes for your personal spaces to your own version of Jess’s Xi party apartment (can you figure out how to open the safe?). You can also pick up your own Stapler active item for your apartment, who will share new words of wisdom with you every day, as well as an incredibly cute Stapler companion that can accompany you throughout PlayStation Home.
In the Holiday spirit of gift-giving, Lockwood Publishing releases a revolutionary item this week. The Lockwood Gift Machine is the answer to every user’s shopping woes: Simply visit the Sodium store in the PlayStation Home Mall this Thursday to pick up the Gift Machine for FREE (it even comes with 64 free Lockwood tokens – additional tokens are available for purchase) and then choose up to six people from your friends list, select an item from a preloaded range of Lockwood gifts, and the Gift Machine will gift wrap the item(s) and send it directly to the intended recipient(s)!
The PlayStation Home Mall gets another update this week with new Burn Zombie Burn costumes (because even zombies are in a festive mood these days), a line of new music items (including a boombox made for the chiptune music act 8 Bit Weapon – this item includes remastered versions of crowd-favorites such as “Closer” and “Fallout in the Wasteland”), the World’s Most Colorful Suit (understatement of the century), five versions of Chess for your personal space (!), and, of course, Jellyfish hats (which I am vowing to wear all throughout the remainder of the year).
Finally, the PlayStation Home Community Theater airs a new episode of the uber-popular PS Nation videocast this week. In the latest episode, the PS Nation crew waxes philosophical on the awesomeness that is Dead Nation and Hoard before gushing over the Killzone 3 beta (mechs, jetpacks, and melee kills – oh my!). Hello Locust,im excited about the gift machine, specially since you can send a gift to your friend.
I been asking for a TRASH CAN,there are MANY things i have, i DO NOT want, not even in Storage,If not, then lets us have a TRADE IN Program or let us send all the items we DO NOT want to our friends that have less than us and can put it to some use, which brings me to say that everytime i go to change clothes or redecorate my place,items i have placed in storage is back as NEW and its really P.ME.O .It shouldnt be a limit as how many things you can put in storage,every day or every week we`re buying new things , so the LIMIT sooner or later Becomes useless, and im passed that point, I also would like to see the PS MOVE COSTUME back in the store.
All we need now is to INCREASE our ACTIVE FURNITURE numbers! I mean… how can we keep getting stuff like chess tables and clocks and such if we can’t even display them all? :-(

I also would like to see the limit of items you can put in your personal place go up, at least 60. Which brings me to ask, when are we gonna be able to WATCH FULL LENGHT MOVIES is our personal spaces, i know that CRACKLE has full lenght movies so what gives.
I do not want to see the POKER room back nor a TROPHY room,it would be a waste of space, which should be use to make CENTRAL PLAZA Bigger and Better looking,there are many spaces that people hardly go, so take them out and Improve Central Plaza, the Mall, Seaside….ETC

Why didn’t we get the Tester2 shirts for episode 7 the female Big Fazeek Shirt. And the Male and female War Princess Shirts. We didn’t get them last week and now there on to epusode 8 and we still didn’t get those 3 missing shirts.

Being able to give gifts has been on many people’s minds for a longtime. The monthly suggestion threads shows this. We’ve had a minor gift giving option with spaces where visitors can get costumes just for entering or playing a game in our personal spaces. But this is bigger. Thank you, Loscust_Star and SCEA. I was just thinking the other day, how much longer it would take for chess to come to personal spaces :). The gifts are a good idea, but alot of people will probably receive the same gifts(Making that gift meaningless).

hi. i know this probably isn’t the place to ask, but i’ve been trying to get into home for about 2 months now and it won’t let me. it keeps telling me to update it and then i press ok….. but then it turns off and restarts to the log in screen without updating it. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this, because i have been wanting to buy new things in home

varelapaul, wait untill the HDD light stops flashing before hitting okay. Or delete Home and reinstall.
To delete, highlight the Home icon on the XMB and press the TRIANGLE button. Choose DELETE. When the deletion is done, just INSTALL again. You will not lose your current Home settings.

No one has to spend money in Home. And if you do, just spend it on things that you will actually use. As for those “unknown people”, eventually in time some of them may not be unknown for very long.

Oh my!!! Those Maximum Tilt bikes drove me quite mad (not angry) in Xi. However, I suppose I shall have to purchase one for the memories of the joyfulness of madness. :)

when is a gran turismo 5 public space coming (better be awesome)? all the biggest games dont support public spaces in Home like killzone, mgs, gta, call of duty, dead space, need for speed, final fantasy, yakuza, heavy rain, mass effect, bioshock, battlefield, red dead redemption, batman, bayonetta, ninja gaiden, prince of persia, god of war, midnight club, tomb raider, unreal tournament, dirt, mirror’s edge, and sooooooooooo many more. c’mon fix this fatal issue.
Wow, talk about ending the year with a bang. I really hope I get a fixed/new PS3 for Christmas now, so I can check this and everything else I’ve missed since September out.
