I was disappointed last week that the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC was taken down before Dec. 31, and now is “gone forever”. Seems they removed it on Dec. 21 when they updated the store last. They removed the free “compatibility packs” too, which you need to play online with others with the DLC.

I don’t expect an answer on the blog, but I did contact Sony and they said “ask Activision”. Activision said “ask Sony”, so…

Happy New Year!

Any real word on the Demon’s Souls Dynamic Theme coming to the US Store? Can’t they just move the file over to the server for the US Store? I just don’t understand why we can’t have the theme for a game that has been out here for well over a year. It is truly the only Dynamic Theme I’ve ever seen that I would actually pay money for.

Thanks!

Great Update! I was skeptical at first with +…. I am a first day buyer of the plus service. I complained at first, but it got better and better overtime. I am so glad I purchased plus and will purchase it next time in september when my sub runs out. But I have received so much free content that I dont know what to do with myself. I have received 4 times as much as what I paid for the plus service. Thank you Grace and the team that is behind the scenes putting this all together :)

"NEOGEO Station PS3 Bundle Pack ($79.99)
‘NEOGEO Station’ PlayStation3 system BUNDLE PACK – This PS3 Version Game Bundle features ten nostalgic NEOGEO classics any fan of SNK will surely enjoy: ALPHA MISSION II, ART OF FIGHTING, BASEBALL STARS PROFESSIONAL, FATAL FURY, LEAGUE BOWLING, MAGICIAN LORD, METAL SLUG, SAMURAI SHODOWN, SUPER SIDEKICKS, and THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’94."

Is it even worth it? $80 is a lot. I mean more than a freakin PS3 game, and the same price as a collector's edition of PS3 game with tons of extras.

I guess for me it's not worth it since all I want from that pack is:

ART OF FIGHTING
FATAL FURY
METAL SLUG
SAMURAI SHODOWN
THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’94.

So about $10 each would be $50. I guess it's cheaper to get it w/ the bundle but $80 on a digital item is a bit much…really.

OMG its a new year and you are still crying over the Demons Soul theme? News flash: If it hasnt been put up long ago, more than likely it is not going to even come. Also it doesnt help that all questions regarding the Demons Soul theme have always gone unanswered.

Seriously, sometimes the only reason i read these comments is to laugh at you people that cry over and over again about some theme, keep asking for a reply to your questions, yet get ignored every single week. Demons Soul was released what, over a year ago i think, and you still asking about the theme.

3D content: 0
As an avid 3D TV (and PC) owner I think you need to take this seriously. I have a 3D laptop (ASUS G53JW-3DE) and 3D TV (Sony *yes, your brand* KDL-55HX800 55” LCD 3D TV) and I must say, SONY Playstation 3 has done the BEST job making 3D content available. However, you need to keep it up! I don’t care if its just a video on (for example) Mortal Kombat in 3D, but something 3D related needs to be on these updates.
3D TVs cost the same as standard Plasma/LCD/LED TVs now and you need to continue to be the front runner on “true” 3D content!

Nvidia is giving you a run for your money, they currently have over 400 game supported using NVIDIA 3D vision; please don’t fall behind! http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-3d-games.html
Again, I own both a laptop using NVIDIA 3D vision and SONY 3D TV /w PS3. I’d personally hate to see SONY owned by NVIDIA, but you’re on your way unless you keep it up with new TRUE 3D content!

Here’s some math for you Sony regarding the Angry Birds pricing.

1 million downloads at 99 cents in the iTunes App store is $990,000. To get the same amount of money at $3.99 you need to sell 248,121 copies.

People are much more willing to spend 99 cents on a game than $3.99. So while you only need 1/4th the number of people to buy the game to make the same amount of money, I’d wager you’ll get a lot less than that.

Oh and Angry Birds is free on Android phones.

Regardless of all that, Angry Birds is a lot easier to play on a touch screen than with a joy stick. In other words, don’t expect a lot of sales.

loving the ps plus! I can’t wait to play Lead and Gold!

Angry Birds is a little pricey. But the PC owners pay $5 for it

@59 I never said I was giving a point. Also the “Japanese and European Store” are both different compared to US. Each region has different items that are being brought up on the store, so some things may be slower. Now I’m not saying your wrong on what you stated but everything is different, BUT maybe, just maybe they can update on a certain time every Tuesday.

Tell me you guys are planning to release Loaded in the PSOne mix as well. Re-Loaded is great and only bested by the first installment.

Ms. Chen, are PlayStation Plus subscriptions stackable? In other words, can I buy a new subscription prior to my current subscription expiring, thus extending my subscription by that amount of time without having to wait until the end of my current subscription?

I know you can do it with Live, and it’d make it easier for a guy with a variable income like me to renew he happens to have some spare cash.

This is a pretty weak way for the store to start the new year….

While the price drops aren’t particularly interesting, or the PS1 classics, or even any of the PSP content, it’s still overall a pretty good update; 4 out of 5 stars.

Hope next week is at least comparable, though it would have been nice for this one to be impressive and set the tone for a strong 2011.

Why are the update times still late and inconsistant?

We’ve been asking for early and consistant update times for years and you still continue to maintain the unacceptable status quo.

Everyone else can update consistantly except for you, why does this continue to happen?

Can we please get a sale on the Dragon Age DLC and Awakening? XBL got a bunch of sales for that content last year, but we have yet to get even one…

I’m really starting to regret buying it for PS3.

Hi guys…I wanted to make a suggestion but first thanks for all the hard work your team does to bring us updates every week. Try not to let the whiners annoy you.

My suggestion is in regards to the preview feature. I notice some titles and themse utilize this and some do not. My suggestion isn’t to make this mandatory, but I find this very helpful in getting an initial feel for a game, demo and theme before I purchase. It seems though that the preview feature is used very little; is there way to ‘encourage’ this functionality to be utilized more?

Thanks again!

How is that Neo Geo Collection price justified? It wouldn’t have cost near that much if we bought whatever came out 2 weeks ago now would it? That is absurd. Why would I spend all this money when for $20 I could get the SNK Collection on my Wii/PS2/PSP?
