  • Costume Quest is mine. Now we need a Castle Castles price drop.

Bad. A sole PSN game which is little more than a lazy “MEGAMIXER” port? Bad. $40 “MEGAMIXER” games in this day and age of the systems life? Bad. None of the numerous PSOne classics that got “MEGAMIXER” approved in the past few months? Bad. No Pac-Man DX for PSP despite “MEGAMIXER” having had it for weeks? Bad. No new “MEGAMIXER COMPLAINTS” Bad. No Back to the Future with “MEGAMIXER” Bad. PSN 2011 sale? So-so. This is all just… bad.

  • “I can’t wait to try out Bulletstorm. ”

    LOL…

  • My favorite game of ALL TIME is a ps3 exclusive, yet it isn’t supported well despite still having a very active online community and being a cult favorite. The game I am speaking of is Demon’s Souls.
Please, please, please bring some Demon’s Souls avatars and the dynamic theme to the U.S. (and anything else you can think of). I will purchase them greedily (check playstation share blog to see that I am hardly alone in this).
Why wasn’t it done initially, I wonder???

  • That’s a nice birthday present Sony an early store update thxs.

  • No LittleBigPlanet 2 Stuff? Darn.

  • @morris1129

You beat me to it…I was literally just about to write something like that to mock MEGAMIXER haha. Glad to see someone else thinks this MEGAMIXER is nothing more than a whiny annoyance.

  • Where are the PSOne Classic updates?

Such a shame that Sony is not taking advantage of all the great games on the original Playstation. As with both the Sly and God of War rereleases on PS3, there is obviously a market out there for people who missed out on both the PSX and PS2 platforms’ great library of games.

I personally started gaming around the later years of the Playstation 2’s lifecycle and missed out on a ton of Playstation classics like Final Fantasy Tactics and Grandia, and was glad that I was able to get a chance to play them on the PS3.

Please Sony, release more of the classics: Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Persona, etc.

  • the only good things for today’s update are the Costume Quest Sale price, and the bulletstorm Demo, slow week

  • Nice and early — and a good sale to boot. I might be picking up Shatter and Costume Quest today.

  • Where the eff is Journey? I haven’t even seen so much as a release date :/

  • Less than i expected, but regardless, neophytes complaining that there’s no LBP2 DLC.

IT JUST CAME OUT LAST WEEK!!!

The FIRST GAME didn’t have DLC the week after release besides the week-1 stuff.

  • Hello Playstation Store team, I was wondering about Amazon’s playstation store’s section. Will the current sales be available on the amazon marketplace?? Also thanks for the great deals, I’ll probably be picking up costume quest, tumble, and peggle :)

  • cool stuff

  • No disrespect, but all of you people whining and griping about how this isn’t here or that isn’t here need to stop. There’s tons of great content on the PSN to buy and PSN offers more sales than other online console distributors. I’m sure Grace and everyone else bust their butts every week to get the releases out and there oftentimes are reasons why certain games aren’t releasing that go beyond the staff at PSN. I mean there’s not a blockbuster game EVERY week during traditional Tuesday releases…why should that be different on the PSN console?

People forget that there are human beings who work on this that aren’t deserving of the inappropriate rage. I mean there’s a sale of 11 games that are well made games that are half off, yet you protest still. You could release every Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, and Vagrant Story and STILL people would complain that Teletubbies for the PSN wasn’t released (don’t even know if that was a game).

Moral of the story: be grateful for how much we get every week. It’s a lot more than others and more of it goes on sale than others.

  • “Ro Hernandez | January 24th, 2011 at 1:27 pm

If the Game is currently available on Amazon, the sale offer will also be made available…”

Just a heads up, but none of the following games have had their prices updated on Amazon yet: Shatter, Hoard, Soldner-X2: Final Prototype, MotorStorm 3D Rift, Peggle, Tumble, Comet Crash (none of the others are listed on Amazon PSN). When will their sale prices go into effect?

  • Wow. Day 1 of Dead Space 2 release and already DLC.

What a shame the gaming industry is becoming.

  • Why can’t I find Scott Pilgrim for $4.99?? Am a PS+ user and it’s still listing as $9.99

  • Hi Grace, was looking for the Super Street Fighter IV: Super Complete Alternate Costume Pack but I couldn’t find it in the store.

  • TV Show King is $1

Whether the game is good or bad, you can’t go wrong for $1

  • :O Playstation actually listened to me!! It was only the other day I asked for Top Gun to have a price drop and here it is. As much as I was hoping for a half price deal, I can deal with $5 off. THANK YOU SO MUCH PS!!

  • i got a ? for grace , how long does it take to process a japanese ps1 game on the psn ? and is there a chance were gonna get parasite eve on the ps1 classic ? reason i ask is i got FF7 , resident evil , mgs and all the great classic on my psp and dont mind sporting parasite eve on the go like when im traveling , its nice to play old ps1 games when on the bus or train , will i might get costume quest , space invader , and mega man , later on tonight. thx for the update grace . proud member of ps+ & ps rewards.

  • I probably wont get this question answered cause this Store Update post rarely get questions answered but here goes:

The code for the LBP Slurpee Giveaway do not work. I have two codes for the background themes, which say there are invalid when typed in. What do I have to do with the codes? Do I wait until a update?

  • Super Street Fighter IV: Super Complete Alternate Costume Pack – Sale (PS3) (now $9.99, original price $17.99)

I cant find that anywhere on the Store …not in the New Releases, not in the add-on section, not in the Special Offers section …I cant even find the 17.99 one …what’s going on? did it get accidentally deleted instead of having the price reduced?

  • Awesome update!to bad i have most of the games on sale

  • Why aren’t the trailers up for FF XIII-2 and Versus XIII?

You posted the one for XIII-2 to the Blog last week:
    https://blog.playstation.com/2011/01/20/first-look-at-the-final-fantasy-xiii-2-trailer/

  • I’ve noticed that every week there are new add ons for eyepet.. but why there isn’t for start the party?

  • I don’t think Lord of Arcana is worth the $40. $30 is MUCH more reasonable.
Dissidia 012 (also made by Square Enix) will be $30 retail (unless SCEA PSN pulls a fast one on us).

At this stage in the PSP’s life, only AAA titles deserve the $40 tag. SCEA, you guys are STILL toying with what’s left of your PSP fanbase, and those guys are loyal. They deserve better than this.

  • not even in the View All section….

  • You know what’s funny. We have someone like Megamixer not afraid to say what really needs to be said and then we got the Sony sheep like Morris that mock him for speaking his mind instead of doing “Wow Sony, great update, absolutely *claps*” when it’s clearly not.

  • @morris and @Glacier

Like his posts or not he has a valid question. Sony made the PS3 PS1 compatible and posts as such all over the internet from launch. Flash forward 4+ years, and the selection of PS1 titles available for download is questionable. Not just quantity but quality as well. I’d settle or a simple it’s license, copyright, DCMA or similar information.

It’s simply a customer letting his buying preference be known, no need for a survey. I will tell them the same thing. You put a PS1 RPG on the PSN, I will buy regardless of price.

  • Pretty early update. Looking forward to the demos. :)

  • Why isn’t Bret Hart for WWE SvR 2011 for .99 listed above? He’s available now…I’ve been waiting for this day for quite some time.

  • wow awesome avatars, GTA,RDR nice job Sony

  • Lookin’ forward to playin’ that Bulletstorm demo!

  • It is sad that we cannot get any real feedback about the store in the only place (this Blog) there really is for us to actually get feedback about it.

Please start answering questions. You have customers telling you what they would like to see on the store and asking legitimate questions that a customer has a right to ask a business. All we get here on the US Blog is silence.

The numbers say it all. Very, very sad customer interaction US PlayStation Store team.

  • 6 or 7 games that i’m gonna pick up from the sale, so great update for me.

  • Ok, firstly…. WOW… You guys sure published this update early… But I don’t have anything to buy here… I was really looking forward for a PSP game price drop, or a new game… Oh well, I guess I’ll get resistance or something like that… (Loved how early you guys posted this stuff though!)

  • @ morris1129 #52.

Jesus, that comment was so bad. I get it, you hate megamixer. But that comment was so tacky, it’s 3rd grade.

    @ megamixer.

I was wondering if you play Super Street Fighter 4? The price drop for the Super costume bundle sure came as a surprise to me.

  • @84 OleGunnar

thanks for posting that. while i understand Europe doesnt get as much content as say US, or Japan PSN. they at least get feedback on a lot of things. i mean i really dont see how hard it is to stay on these blog for 30min just answering questions some of which are very easy/simple to answer.

Just shows that the people on these blog could care less out their customers.

  • I like Extraction being offered like that :D

  • Maybe a couple games that are on sale..

  • @ #84

That should be a thread on its own. Very very telling of how little SCEA cares.

  • I am happy about the timely update and there are a couple items that I might get.
    @morris & glacier
Why mock someone that speaks the truth?
You need someone like Megamixer to keep people informed and to try to hold someone accountable.Sony did promise more legacy titles.Just compare the amount between the U.S. and Japan and you can see why he might be upset. The sale of an item should be reflected across the board.I shouldn’t get screwed if I shop at Amazon. So thank you Megamixer.I appreciate your posts.

  • where is the Assassins Creed Brotherhood DLC #2?

  • So playstation! are we gonna receive some kind of update to fix people jailbreaking their ps3? because its pissing me oof that people hack their accounts and cheat on call of duty(which i stop playing)

  • Uhm any news on the Mushroom Wars expansion? I want the expansion, but it’s only available in Europe?!

  • hey guys are you covering the playstation meeting happening in tokyo this thursday ?

  • i think Jeff is in Tokyo already but are you guys covering the event ?
