re: Mushroom Wars Expansion Pack – yeah where is it? I bought this game day 1 and have been waiting for 4 player offline ever since, and now they have it, but we in the US don’t? At least let us know if it’s coming.
Will the US PS blog website ever look as good as the EU website?It’s HD and very functional. How hard can that be to copy?
In order to cut down on the “where’s the PS+ stuff” insults/comments/criticisms maybe that info shouldn’t be posted 2 weeks in advance. Nobody reads a blog here about updates thinking they are coming in 2 weeks. Even people who know it’s every 2 weeks seem confused by which week it is I think b/c the info is put out there so far in advance.

@OleGunnar, yes you are right and it is kinda sad . while eu and ja actually reply to the consumer’s . all us is buy , buy , buy . i do love playstation but somewhat i felt neglected and im pretty sure most of the customers feels the same way . even if we do blog with proper manners and respect we still get shut in the cold then i don’t know what to say . its ether the customers not doing the job or the employees , i just cant tell .

Great post and comparison to the EU blog! Hopefully, more people will bring this to attention so that we get more comments with content, instead of the bland marketing and public relations comments that ignore questions that need to be answered.
Seriously, almost half of the “replies” are to messages like, “OMG this game is awesome,” and “I really liked the part of the game when…”, or “Thanks, I really can’t wait to download this game.” Any questions demanding actual answers instead of warm and fuzzies get ignored. I agree, this is our only outlet as PS3 customers.
I’m trying hard to figure out how a 60 minute game trial counts as my bi-weekly content of PS+. Not really looking forward to next week’s update unless a new announcement pops up… I hope that PS+ restarts the momentum that began in late November and ended in 2011.
Disappointing that Soldner X-2: Final Prototype Complete Bundle isn’t also on sale.

Why not a storefront for PS3 Legacy (i.e. games released on Blu Ray) and Dreamcast games? Make the Store more elegant.
@107 No… it’s not your only outlet , as a matter of fact it’s not a CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED SITE , it’s a BLOG . it’s main priority is to publish psn , ps3 activities . The blog staff are not Customer service reps . that is why their is a CUSTOMER SUPPORT EMAIL LINK AND PHONE NUMBER on their knowledge center website (Yet another unused resource by whiny little tripes ) .

I think this is the kind of week where you wish Little Big Planet was coming out instead of Dead Space 2. I call this a utility update, little content lots of recycled stuff. I like the Bulletstorm demo. I hear it kicks my faces ass.

I’m glad to see people who enjoy this update, but you people need to realize some people arent happy.
I mean do some of you people have a psp? or worst a psp go? there are tons of games still not on the psn, and thus (people with psp go) have to wait for these updates to see if any “good” games come out which is very rare since they either Dont release any games, or release games that are very unappealing, or just down right a rip off.
Just putting it out there. some people who post that this is a bad update may be referring to the psp side. just remember this isnt only about ps3, there are people out there who would love some support for the psp.

The base price for PSP games AAA or not should be $30. Its 6 years old and clearly on its way out. $40 was always high for a handheld game and software sales should’ve proven that by now. Greedy publishers keep milking a cow that isn’t there.

I’ve played SSFIV but I don’t PLAY it if you can understand that. The sale shouldn’t come as a surprise since SFIVs bundle had been put on sale and reduced over time. I’d expect it to happen with this pack and the eventual Ultra Costumes bundle.

Many demos these days are the actual games size. Its cheaper to lock off the full game and make the would-be consumers waste time and bandwidth downloading it. :|

Aw, the one bad thing about the Go is how little memory it has compared to how big games are. Well, that and what we all know sucks: lack of UMD Legacy releases. Its forced me to keep putting my PSP-2000 & UMD games to good use so to speak.

I don’t expect FireFox or Chrome, but can you at least have it close to IE quality? Speaking of that, if you were to add FireFox or GoogeTV to PSN+ you would sell it like mad. Just an idea.

So true. This blog only replies to positive comments. PSPgo owners won’t get the games they like. PSP 2 looks cool but Sony hardware was never the question, it’s their TERRIBLE customer relations that makes me not want it. Oh wait, PSP 2 doesn’t exist right Sony? Geohot and Fail0verflow FTW.
People keep comparing this to the EU blog’s post/reply ratio. Going through the EU blog, I’ve noticed something – most of the people who post are polite and friendly. The people who post here are usually pushy & spoiled and act entitled. If those were the type of posts I had to look forward to, I doubt I’d respond either….especially since, when there is a reply, that usually gets attacked as well!!
As for the PSPgo, that’s sad that there are people who feel that the lack of availability of one or two games somehow precludes any enjoyment of any of the other titles that are available. As for me, I’ve bought and downloaded more than enough games, GREAT games, to easily fill a PSPgo, and then some! That doesn’t seem like lousy support to me… As far as certain games go (e.g. Crisis Core and Vagrant Story), maybe you should take it up with the actual publisher (in this SquareEnix), since it’s up to them which games they make available and for how much. I have noticed a trend with S.E. being a bit stingy with uploading certain games…

8 of the 17 games I own on UMD are not the PSN store. “1 or 2” as you put it doesn’t sound like much. However in this case it’s nearly 50% of my physical collection (a few of which I’ve repurchased digitally, more pending price drops). I do agree 3rd parties should have their feet held to the fire. Crisis Core will be coming to PSN in Japan and from there the rest of the world. But what about the Star Oceans? Doubtful at this point in time. With the PSP on its way out its even less likely for its back catalog to go digital and that’s a shame for anybody with any version of the PSP.
