  • I’m definitely buying my 4th PSP (PSP-3000 is all that I’m missing). Awesome news, PSP IS the best handheld I ever owned and I love mine.

  • Buying the NGP Day one of Release!

  • I’ll wait on the PSP 2

  • $129.99? Anyone who buys a PSP now should be arrested for robbery because that’s a steal. And look at those games! Anyone who doesn’t like those games at those prices is the enemy of fun.

  • That’s great! but don’t forget us PSPGo owners, please, please, please bring Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep to Playstation Store!

  • A message to SquEnix,

Please make Crisis Core:FFVII available on the PSN Store.

    Thanks!

  • Great! I could use another. Mine has lots dead pixels.

  • Since the announcement of the NGP, I have started only buying PSP games digital. Will these prices be the same on the PSN as retail?

  • Nice deal, although I want to wait for the NGP. I want to get Daxter from the PSN store. Also, I really want Crises Core and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep to come out on the PSN store as well.So I can play it on the new NGP.

  • awesome. totally gonna pick one up. thanks!

  • Are those game prices for both UMD and PSN Download?

  • Good job but about damn time. Sony could have waited till PSPs stopped selling completely in NA to make a move, right? lol But, seriously now please look into PS3.

  • I might pick up another PSP-3000 later. The $130 price tag is looking pretty attractive. I’ll get the NGP but not the launch model so the PSP needs to hold me off til then.

    =P

  • will the prices be reflected on PSN as well? (LBP and PW and other DD titles)

  • Also the Ad sucks. I doubt any of these kids interested in PSP. They got an iPhone. lol

  • @5…I highly doubt that will be happening any time soon. It is unfortunate. I’m still waiting for Lumines, Metal Gear Ac!d and several others I own to make the transition from UMD to digital.

  • Please bring kingdom hearts to the ps store I have never played kingdom hearts and this was suppose to be my introduction into it , since I own as psp go I was left out.

  • Sounds nice but i want the PSP2 :P

  • Eagerly waiting for the NGP!

  • Crisis Core for $9.99?!?!? Thats a pretty good slap in the face to anyone who owns a PSP Go, if it continues to be UMD-only.

It definitely was my favorite game on the system. Great for short burst of play as well as marathons when plugged in. You guys should really get that thing on PSN.

  • IMPORTANT QUESTION PLEASE ANSWER!

When are these greatest hits games being shipped to retailers?

  • Any plans for the Go? That thing is basically useless with no UMD slot, but is priced $100 higher now.

  • Will Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core ever be converted for digital distribution? I’d love to add it to my digital library when the NGP comes out! =D

  • So what happen to Marcus????????????

  • Awesome!

  • NGP all day every day!!! DOINK!!!

  • What was the point of the UMD-less slider PSP if Sony continues to support and put the old version on sale? I guess realizing it doesn’t sale and people don’t appreciate features taken away.

I thought it was cool when I tried it but a failure int he lineup I guess?

  • Sorry Sony going 4 NGP n it looks like everybody else is 2 hopefully u guy don’t sold out before I can get 1 ;)

  • What happened to the “Marcus” campaign?

  • mmmmm tempting but idk yet

  • I hope these “favorites” are $9.99 on the PSN store as well. I just got a 4GB memory stick and can purchase full PSP games on there now. I would love to snag Daxter for that price.

  • Awesome price point thanks guys! And where is Marcus? did’nt have enough game? Ima finally pick up Liberation and Crisis Core! Can’t wait to get my NGP.

  • YES! I have been needing to buy a new one since my began to mess up (it was because i got water on it, not a hardware issue). Thank you Sony, you never fail to disappoint. Unlike that OTHER manufacturer *cough* Microsoft *cough*

  • Are these game price changes reflected on the PSN store as well? PSP Go users do exist, you know..

  • Oh what a silly ad…apparently I have to be a scrawny 13 year-old with braces to enjoy the PSP – well the target audience is bigger than that. This actually sounds good, but I might just save up money for the PSP2.

  • NGP for me. Already had 4 PSPs in the family, Me and my 3 kids. Getting the Xperia Play too. I have connections for tech so I have freedom to try all this great stuff out.

Also Sony, you simply have to do something for GO owners. I’d be rightfully pissed if I bought one only to be left out in the cold.

Did I hear Marcus in the background?

  • Where’s Marcus?!?! He did, like, 2 commercials.

  • Hmm…

I like how this PSP is much cheaper, but then why can’t the PSPgo be like $169 or something? It doesn’t even have a UMD drive, and 16GB of flash memory doesn’t fill the $50 gap. All of it’s games work on the NGP so why not at least try and shove some of these out of the door as well?

It’s great how the 3000 is priced to compete with the Big N’s smaller, older offerings, but the PSPgo isn’t at their bigger, better offerings.

Some things need to change. And, MAKE A SPECIAL EDITION PSPGO ALREADY! White and black are boring, I want some dark blood-red Kratos goodness….

(BTW, I already have a PSPgo. I’m glad the 8 games I currently have will work on the NGP, but I’m peeved about there not being certain games on the store, and there being very little actual support with the PSPgo from you guys. It seems like you guys forgot it.)

  • I bet you guys didn’t fix the home menu screen popping up randomly when you are playing UMD games feature on these yet….

All you need to do is have a slightly longer/thicker sensor that presses in more when a UMD is inserted so the system thinks it’s in there the whole time instead of there being a slight movement and the PSP thinks there’s no disc anymore.

I saw two kids playing with their PSP-3000’s on the bus and it was really sad because every few seconds this would happen, to BOTH of them. It’s been a problem with nearly all of the PSP-3000’s in the recent months, so quality control is severely lacking, and support is nonexistent.

  • Just need Ghost of Sparta to go Greatest Hits.

  • Okay the AD was decent…but WHERE THE HELL IS Marcus???? Did you guy let him go due to slow PSP hardware SALES??

  • where’s marcus lol.

  • Poor Marcus lol

  • if people really want square games they should complain to square. i miss bobby j also.

  • The “Marcus” ads were an attempt to create a marketing demographic which didn’t exist in real life. It didn’t help those ads were lame too. It would be cool if sony went back to sacrificing goats and tagging random buildings to advertise but big corporations tend to get too scared of doing anything dark and edgy.

  • How to get it for $129.99

  • i wish ngp was announced for release and pricing, i caannot believe you still trying to push this relec.. i love psp but once u show the new one it should be almost ready to go …i’ll save my money so by the time NGP come out it wont hurt my pocket much.. and im ready alreay but im ready to by a 4th gen iTouch 64gb till NGP come out and hopefully i wont get hooked on the evil Fruit throughout my time using that….

i already had a psp 1000, 2000 dax pack, skipped 3000 because i bought a PSP Go and that got stolen so I’ll wait!

Sony had contacted me saying they can help, had me do some things to try and track it so i did everything they said and i never heard nothing back.. im really not sure what to excpect from sony on my process but i guess i just bought into thinking i can get my item back when they contacted me.

iTouch next, NGP on Release with 3G
