Sony, you are bound and determined to keep people from buying the NGP aren’t you? I mean, if you clearly show a lack of support on your store for the PSP now why on earth would I buy a new one?

Ditto Notorious Gamer.

I had yellow light last weekend… and I figured ‘Hey no worries, I can just swap the hard drive across to the new system.’

Then I found out I’d have to reformat the hard drive. There were several game saves that I lost because the save files were copy protected, and I had to reformat the hard drive for the new system. One system’s hard drive should work just fine on another system.

I couldn’t use the ethernet transfer, because of the yellow light on the unit I was removing the hard drive from. Pretty annoying too lose everything on your hard drive, without there being a good reason against making ahard drive transferrable from a dead console to a living one.

I think it’s good that you’re offering more full games as downloads, but with fundamentally multi-player games like MAG and MNR it would be good to offer those who previously bought the disc version the option to install it to their HDD. Same goes for the online component for games like KZ3 (see MGS4 and MGO). If people could scroll through a list of MP games and jump on to any one it would be incredibly convenient and I’m pretty sure those games would then have bigger online communities.

From 2 weeks ago:
“Toyota Highlander brings you a free movie to rent, starting this week with The Da Vinci Code and continuing the next three weeks with Big Daddy, Stranger than Fiction and Ghost Rider!”

There is a big ad on the video store that says starting Feb 15th
week 1 DaVinci Code
week 2 Big Daddy
week 3 Ghost Rider
week 4 Stranger than Fiction

Will the person who made the ad and the person who posted to the blog please get together and decide on an order the free movies will be shown in b/c it’s confused right now.

BTW Great PS+ update this week, 6 demos and a timely update combine for celebration worthiness.

The facts speak for themselves. Hit up youtube and check out Sony Americas abysmally bad PSP ads from launch through today (I’d say check the Media section of the PS Store, but that only has PS3 TV Ads, surprise surprise). Head over to wikipedia and look up a list of PSP titles *made* by Sony America.

PSP has more Apps then the PS3… how? It doesn’t have Home, Filmy, hulu, netflix, mlb.tv, nhl gamecenter, play memories, vudu, life with playstation, video editor, qriocity, photo gallery… You say the PSP has twice as many games as PS3 and a ton of them are downloadable? PS3 has approximately 282 on the store while the PSP has 369. That doesn’t look like double to me. Especially considering how much younger PSN is (it really didn’t take off until 2008, three years after PSP launched).

As I said, the best things SCEA ever did for the PSP was localizing games created by other Sony branches and bothering to have a PSP store in the first place. And for the record I never once claimed to be a fan of Sony or any other faceless corporation. I am a fan of the games themselves. No more, no less.

Yay for Vagrant Story! Painfully slow week for the PSP though. With all of the money they are pouring into the NGP (which will no doubt be overpriced considering the devs comments on the final cost) it’s funny that they treat the PSP like a red headed stepchild. I’d think most people that bought a PSP Go or see how it’s been handled will likely steer clear of the NGP. It’s saving grace will be the use of flash carts rather than download only or UMDs.

Thanks for the update!

Just because megamixer is critical doesn’t mean he isn’t a fan and you sound foolish calling him an “xbox troll” for doing so. A true fan will tell it how it is no matter how bad it hurts, but stay through such hard times.
As consumers, we should 1) vote with our wallets and 2) use tools provided to us like forums, blogs and other outlets to let service providers know what we think and what we want.
Sony didn’t set up a blog here simply so fanboys could stroke it’s ego. Tell Sony what your want and make your voice heard.
That being said: Legend of Dragoon please! And please include something that allows for calibrating the game with HD TVs. The slight lag ruins the battle system. I’ve tried, and it sucks. :(

Grace Chen or any one involved with the Playstation Store Updates or Blog:

Obviously every question can’t be answered, obviously every comment isn’t going to get a response but it seems rather disappointing and lacking that there has only been two official responses so far this year out of hundreds and hundreds of posts in the PS Store updates.

Obviously you’re going to get ridiculous and ignorant responses, comments, feedback and requests but that shouldn’t cause the legitimate and loyal fans and customers spending their money in your store to be ignore on a weekly basis.

Is our feedback hear? Is our request acknowledged? Is our questions seen?

If not you, then who?

I’d love to buy these PSone Classics, but I’m wondering if you guys have fixed the bug in the emulator for downloadable PSOne games?

If you download a PSOne Classic from the store and then used the classic “Texture Smoothing” feature on it, it makes the image skinnier and ruins the aspect ratio. This happens on HDTVs. Regular disc based PSOne games work fine with the option activated. Are you guys ever going to fix this? It’s been forever with no word on it.

I thought we were going to learn who won the votes in the best games? I want to get a discounted Costume Quest or Pac Man DX! Oh well, maybe next week! There’s plenty of good stuff this week, with PJ Shooter 2 being the one I want to get the most! I would get it now, but I have a research paper I need to be working on! My spring break is coming up in 2 weeks; maybe I’ll get it then!

@Dante989
I doubt they’re sweating bullets over a minor game like KZ3. CoD demos always get released well after the fact. If anything its out now to promote the first wave of map packs.

@Tidus755
Agreed but I wish they would get off of Square stuff and bring us other classics. Though it would be nice to wrangle Brave Fencer Mushashi out of Square. And Parasite Eve. And Tobal No.1 (or 2 via PS Imports). Or… well okay, keep up with the Square stuff but bring us other companies classics as well! The big name classics are great but we need some lesser knowns that deserve new found love :D

@PSWii2008
They’ll probably post the GCA winners tomorrow since up until roughly three hours ago people were still able to cast votes.

It’s wonderful to see Vagrant Story hit the PSN, disappointing that so little else came out for PSP owners.
