Shift 2 Unleashed: Need For Speed Shift 2 Unleashed builds on the true driving experience that the NFS franchise is renown for by introducing the driver’s battle, an even more authentic and primal feeling of power and speed which elevates the fundamental competitive race into a struggle for supremacy against other drivers and even the track itself. In Shift 2 Unleashed, players’ hands sweat and ache as they clutch onto the controller, their pulse races from the break-neck speeds experienced through the first-person cockpit view.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Based on the epic novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the genre-defining Dynasty Warriors series depicts the massive battles ignited by the fall of the Han Dynasty when three rebellious states moved to overthrow the Emperor of China.

Competitors vie to be the first across the finish line in a made-for-TV city built for destruction, with the ultimate goal of becoming the season champion. Players must use strategy and pinpoint timing to derail opponents, tactically alter the track or create entirely new routes.

Chime Super Deluxe: Chime mixes up the addictive action of puzzle games like Tetris with elements of music synthesizing. You arrange note blocks on a grid which form patterns of sound, then secure them by surrounding them with other blocks, intensifying the audio and creating new melodies as you play. As you build larger block segments (quads) and cover the grid, the combo meter starts and the underlying song develops in full. But take care – if you build yourself into a corner, the blocks shatter and the music dies. Read PlayStation.Blog Coverage

  • I was quite hyped for the 3rd Birthday, I’m a little apprehensive since the reviews were not to hot. Hopefully Trails in the Sky gets good reviews. Pretty good week for the PSP.

  • When does the ICO and SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS Collection come out?

  • NO psone classic this week? Lazy. Very lazy… What about Wing Commander 3? Ive been waiting on that one for over a year now… 4 is on it, why not 3?

  • @1 is a BIG loser.

On topic, I hope I can fit Free Realms onto my PS3 to try it out. My HDD is getting mighty full. Also interested in the new Chime.

  • Ay Rey, I know Free Realms iz free for every1 and we can also join a membership to have more, but does da free Free Realms for everyone include free trophies? Also I am surprised dat they did not release Parasite Eve 2 for classics this week. Will 3rd Birthday ever be available for ps3 also (I no longer have psp)? Thanx and have a great week Rey God bless you!

  • @#4 – Agreed. Not just lazy, stupid as well.

  • Can’t wait for Shift 2: Unleashed! Bring On Tuesday!

  • Mass Effect 2 DLC, “The Arrival,” is also due this Tuesday on the PSN! I’m not sure of the price.

  • I hope Free Realms is less laggy on PS3 than PC….some days its pretty bad

  • Will there be a demo of the Third Birthday? good time to start clearing my backlog of games until LA Noire releases :)

  • estimated price of split/second anyone?

    • Asking price for the digital download of Split/Second is $29.99, which I highly recommend you purchase and download, it’s easily one of my favorite racers.

  • Sweetness. Definitely getting The Third Birthday. Moon Diver looks great, if the demo convinces me that’ll be mine. Also Back to the Future!

  • Wait…3rd Birthday IS coming out on PSN? Heh, Square was full of crap then, when they said it was going to be UMD-only for US.

  • In all honestly I’m quite surprised by all the recent Square-Enix love is giving to PSN. They use to completely dismiss it in the past as evidenced by Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

  • The Mass Effect 2 DLC will cost $6.99 according to the official Mass Effect 2 webpage.

  • So many amazing games

  • Absolutely excellent news that the 3rd Birthday is going to be on PSN, I e-mailed them earlier this week and told them I wouldn’t buy that game if they didn’t put it on the network, maybe they listened.

  • @5…Agree 100% about the first poster..

These posts really should include pricing

    • The full price list for PSN titles can be found on our PSN Store post, Tuesday afternoon. Which also includes, DLC and tons of extras.

  • Meh Drop this week. Maybe it’s because I’m extremely low on PSP memory, maybe it’s cause I’m not into those games. Or maybe it’s because I have a large backlogged game stack. I go with option 3. Anyone else with me?
Could DLC be added to the Drop?

  • A little disappointed that Parasite Eve 2 didn’t make it this week, but I can’t really complain after all the PSOne Classic love we’ve been getting from Square Enix lately. It’s still gonna be a Day One purchase for me. Hope it’s out soon!

Horribly, gruesomely, intolerably tempted by TitS, though… oh my!

  • Any chance you could include the file size in the drop posts? I know they’ll be in Tuesdays post but is good to know ahead of time.

  • Looks like a good update. I’m definitely going to check out Free Realms, Chime Super Deluxe, and Moon Driver. I’m also glad to see the next episode of BttF. Regarding Sora no Kiseki, does anyone know if they are planning on releasing the second and third chapters on PSP, or are they exclusively going to be released on the NGP? I had initially pre-ordered it, but I cancelled it because I want to see what Falcom’s and XSeed’s plans are for the second and third chapters. If they don’t release the second and third chapters on the PSP, then I’m not going to bother. I have neither the time nor the desire to take on a new system at the moment.

  • i’m pretty stoked for rush’n attack, its 3 months late than originally scheduled but whatever, its here now!

  • Malicious?????????

  • Any word on Final Fantasy I and II and Dissidia being released on PSN? I’d love to have those on my PSP Go!

  • DYNASTY WARRIORS 7 is all that matters to me this week. Got it pre-ordered so I’ll be all over that.

    **PROUD PS+ MEMBER**

  • *Oops, I meant Crisis Core, not Dissidia!

  • How much HDD space will Free Realms require? Is it another of those small downloadables which then need huge amount of data updates? (DCUO, MAG beta for example) …really hoping answer is no, background downloads FTW!

  • Also along with my 3rd Birthday love for it being on PSN, how much is Dragon’s Lair? I’ve never played it but it it’s the right price I’d love to grab it for my PSP.

  • Rey can you play Free Realms offline also or iz it online only?

  • Thanks to everyone at sony and square enix for getting 3rd birthday and (Dissida 012) when we all thought it wasnt going to happen. I dont know what black magic you sony guys were able to pull on Wada-san but its much appreciated as PSN is the only place i purchase my PSP games :)

….now can i be pushy and ask you guys to work the same magic on CRISIS CORE: Final Fantasy VII pllllllleeeeeeeeeeease? i just watched Advent Children complete and now i wanna play it soooooooooooo bad :D

  • @6: I’m not getting FreeRealms, but I do wonder if it includes trophies. Does it Rey?

  • *yawn*

    nothing interesting this week.

  • oh my god…thank you so much for putting 3rd bday on psn. now i dont have to drive to bestbuy to buy it. god forbid i see daylight. one questions, any word when parasite eve 2 will hit psn? i know it was conformed for a psn release would anyone know when?

  • Legend of Heroes for me along with BttF now that episode 2 is finally here.

    @Rey Gutierrez
Have you considered doing a “The Dropped” posting for saturdays? Sort of a wrap-up to each week which would be similar to “The Drop”. It would be a good way to remind people what came out. A nice little thing for people that do their shopping & gaming over the weekend.

  • Rey I got Mortal Kombat and L.A. Noire pre-ordered. Do you know if there will be add on content for either?

    • It’s the year 2011. It’s hip to have tons of DLC for big titles these days, I don’t know much. But I’d expect to see some great content after the release of MK and LA Noire.

  • any chance we can get some of those killzone 3 avatars eu has for plus members

  • i will be getting Mass Effect 2 DLC :D.

  • Who says the PSP is dead!?

Also, can we please have a “PSP Essentials” or “Favorites” section like the EU PSN has? I am just getting into buying full PSP games digitially and it would be awesome to have a handy section for selected games. Also, can you adjust the prices for PSP favorites on the PSN store? Daxter for example is still $15.99

  • YEEEESSSS I THOUGHT THE 3RD BDAY WASN’T COMING TO PSN BUT LOOKS LIKE THINGS CHANGE!!!

  • YEEESSS NOW BRING CRISIS CORE TO PSN I WANNA PLAY IT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!!!!

  • @37: With MK’s Klassic Scorpion pre-order bonus, yes, but since you got that from the pre-order, for you, unsure.

  • I don’t like this, this Tuesday is gonna be very expensive.

  • Looking forward to Free Realms and Back to the future. :) Can’t wait.

  • OMG 3rd Birthday is confirmed for PSN? No way, fantastic. I must get more than $20 PSN card now to cover this.

  • I need Gex 2: enter the gecko for the PSone classics because… I missed that game sooooooooo much!!!!

  • Sony, for those of us now excited for “The Third Birthday” arriving on the PSN is there any plans for people who buy the game within a span of time to receive the Dissidia 012 costume content packed into retail versions? How is that being handled?

  • YEAH!!!!! PARASITE EVE 3!!!! i already pre ordered it

  • Dynasty Warriors 7 is going to be awesome I hope my friends get it to play a little online conquest and hope there is going to be a dynamic theme or and avatars in the future for the game.
