As you all know, we launched a donation page to help relief efforts in Japan. Today you will notice a couple new “Aid Japan” themes. One will benefit Japan Society’s Earthquake Relief Fund and the other is a new theme that benefits the American Red Cross. So even if you have already donated to the American Red Cross from PlayStation Store, you can do so again and get a different theme. Thanks for all the generous donations so far!

Hello again! Later today, our four-player, top-down vehicular combat game Red Faction: Battlegrounds will be available on PlayStation Network for just $9.99.! Utilizing Martian heavy assault walkers, armored tanks, and speedy rovers, your goal is to destroy the competition across multiple team-based or free-for-all battles. Best of all: Battlegrounds is 3D-enabled for play on your 3D TV! Buckle up.
If you’re not familiar with Red Faction: Battlegrounds from our exclusive PSN beta last year, the game is set within the Red Faction universe, specifically during the 50-year period between Red Faction: Guerrilla and Armageddon. You’ll battle opponents all over the surface of Mars in different environments, including military compounds, mining towns, and bases taken over by a new enemy. And just like with previous Red Faction titles, you’ll need to demolish many of the structures standing in your way.

Hey all you spore heads! Bill from Creat here, and I’m excited to announce our US release of the Mushroom Wars Online DLC on April 5th for $2.99. The original Mushroom Wars is available on PSN for $9.99.
The original Mushroom Wars is a fast-paced and accessible RTS, with a quaint, anime-inspired visual style in which players send their cute armies into battle, upgrade their mushroom bases, improve their weaponry and fight skirmishes in close-quarter maps. Mushroom Wars Online introduces several expansions to these features, the most exciting being the ability to spread their fungal domination into the online realm with four-player online multiplayer support.
Along with the addition of online multiplayer support, Mushroom Wars Online introduces a number of new features to the original title, including local multiplayer support for up to four players.

The last three weeks have been great for us here at Zipper Interactive! Our private, PlayStation Plus, and Killzone 3 voucher testers have been integral in helping us put the finishing touches on the multiplayer aspects of SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs. But that’s the past – and now, the special invitation period is over because starting today, anyone and everyone with PSN access can freely download the SOCOM 4 beta from the PlayStation Store during its regularly-scheduled update. The beta’s availability on the PlayStation Store ends April 12.
Our servers will be open all day every day until the beta period ends on April 13 at 11:59pm Pacific Time (2:59am Eastern). However, we will limit what modes are available for the first few days to keep our testing focused before opening all queues for the home stretch. Here’s how the schedule looks in its final phase:
- Tuesday (4/5) – Last Defense, Classic Last Defense, Uplink, Classic Uplink
- Wednesday (4/6) – Bomb Squad, Classic Bomb Squad, Last Defense, Classic Last Defense
- Thursday (4/7) – Sniper Alley (Custom), Last Defense Run ‘n Gun (Custom), Bomb Squad, Classic Bomb Squad

To combat those lingering post-time-change blues, DC Universe Online is adding another free batch of new downloadable content that will introduce you to former Gotham City District Attorney-turned crime boss Harvey Dent (aka “Two-Face”) in the sinister new installment. Follow Dent into The Penguin’s hideout to take out his smuggling operation… but you will never know if he is going to help or hinder your gameplay.
Also included in this update is the final part to the Batcave raid where you level 30 players (if you aren’t at level 30 yet, hurry up and get there already) will be face-to-face with the caped crusader. You’ll even catch a guest appearance from sneaky trickster Mister Mxyzptlk! We’re bringing content for players of all types, so if you’re a solo player, duo champion, or veteran raider get ready to jump online!

Update on PSN Service Outages
