im a loyal customer and i wanted to say thank you. i think you handled the situation quite well and i do believe you did your best to get the network up asap. whenever i came here to get an update i saw tons of negative comments telling you to “hurry up” and “im selling my ps3”. i was very disappointed with those people and i feel bad for you having to read all that. i hope most people are like me and realize that sony was the victim here in a much bigger way than we were. thanks again sony, i was with you every step of the way and never lost faith in you.

I’ll admit, I was getting extremely frustrated with this situation, especially this passed week with the lack of updates.. I thought you all gave up on your customers for a minute, and I did leave some nasty comments, as with many other customers… but now I see the lack of updates were a result of everyone at Sony working hard on bringing back the psn for us all to enjoy. Actions truly do speak louder than words. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you all at SCE for your hard work, and dedication to your consumers. I can only imagine how frustrating this all has been for YOU as a company, with the media backlash, and countless hours of work.
I know it probably doesn’t mean much coming from one person, in a sea of people using your services, but I can truly see your commitment to all of us Playstation fans, and I appreciate it.
I’ve been a Sony fan since the Playstation one back in the mid 90’s, and you continue to deliver much entertainment and great gaming memories still to this day. Here’s to many more years of epic gaming.. cheers to Sony and all the fans like me who refused to give up. LONG LIVE THE PLAYSTATION!

Once the PS Store comes back up, we can hopefully put this whole messy business behind us. Wouldn’t it be ironic if hackers mess with XBox live and all those idiots who traded in their PS3s come back to the good side?

While I feel empathy for the trouble you’ve endured and the damage to your name brand, I certainly hope this teaches you to be serious about how well you secure all of our personal information in the future. I had read that many parts of the network lacked even BASIC security features and while I’m grateful we’re all finally back online, it seems to me that an ounce of prevention would have been worth a metric ton of cure.
Secondly, how’s about we update the PSN internet browser so that we can watch videos in a higher resolution that 240x? We’re on high def machines on high def screens. Clicking the “HD” button on this announcement shouldn’t crash my PS3, but it does. Let’s try to stay current with Adobe Shockwave/Flash releases and java/xml updates too can’t we?
That said, you can see your fans obviously still love you, so don’t forget that and pay them back in kind (regardless of whatever market they’re in) and you will always do good business.
