  • when is coming back playstation store?????

  • this is why i lpve sony and why they are going to be around forever

  • Sony since the outage you should me fix my second account since someone hacked it because i got 17$ in there and i can’t use and i was going to use like 3 months but now i still can’t buy anything off my account.

  • Give us Mod Nation Racers for the PS3 too! This is a sad selection of games, don’t be so stingy.

  • I’m happy I’m getting 2 free games (inFAMOUS and Little Big Planet) but it is a slap in the face that Sony is offering games that were offered free with PS+ and even 3d Tv’s at least give us store credit or expand the list with some better games.

Stardust and wipeout combined aren’t worth the putage imo, but I’m not complaining.

  • Would have been better if Sony offered for example a code that allowed for 2 free game DL’s of the CUSTOMERS CHOICE.

Sony could have even offered to credit each wallet say 20.00 to let customers CHOOSE what they wanted.

All things considered, the free month of PSN + is okay and the free games are likewise okay but if Sony REALLY wanted to show love to the customers, they could have done better.

  • Thanks Sony, Now please do me a favor and everyone else who plays socom confrontation, ( or any game online)GET RID OF THOSE G.D. CHEATERS AND HACKERS IN THE GAME.!!!! PLEASE MAKE GAMING FARE to ALL OF US WHO ENJOY IT AND BAND THE IDIOTS, MORONS/ CHEATERS. And thanks for online gaming world.

  • Simply Awsome. Pure Awsomeness. You people really know how to let us know you like us.
    Thank You.
I been with you since Fighting Force and the big bulky PS1’s. I got all 3 systems and gunna keep them forever. Now if only I could play my PS2 games on my PS3…..

  • Okay it is now May 24th and still nothing. I’m glad you have all of these game updates, downloads and other offers advertized but since I cannot access Playstation Store what is the point?

  • Any idea when ps store will be up? i don’t need an exact date just something saying an estimate. thank you :)

  • anyone have a link to where updates on the return of the Playstation store are? my PS3 still says that the store is undergoing maintenance :(

  • Will the the Playstation Store be back open on the 24th of May? An article on gamespot that said it would be back open on the 24th. Come on Sony don’t let this be a lie. You are already lost enough money during the outage.

Ok so i already bought all those games at full price when they released, check my account to be sure.

Guess it doesnt pay to spend your money on things you want when you want them.

I am a Plus member, and a loyal Qore subscriber since it launched, why does Sony keep giving me stuff i already bought at full price!!!!!!!!!!

Listen I like to buy stuff all the time,
-Just give me a discount on my next purchase and everyones happy. Or,
-Let me give my two free games to someone else, as I cant use two copies of the same game on one account. Or
-Give me back my money for these games that are now free. Or,
-Give me a discount on another PS3. Or
-Give me one free PS3 repair service. Or
-Anything that I can actually use.

  • What about europe? We wont get ANYTHING?

  • WTG Sony! Keep up the good work. And as for Enigma777, [DELETED]? The way I see it, they dont have to GIVE you anything for free. And how are they suppose to know you already have the games listed? Oh Yea, thats right!! they are PHYSICS.. any how, keep up the great work Sony, you are doing a great job!

  • Wow… I just want the PS Store online soon. PLEASE, SONY. Please.

  • play station store is still down. Come on Sony , really

  • Very sad old collection of games to pick from, it’s time to buy an XBOX

  • thanks guys i wish we could get escalation for free

  • I find it hilarious how most of these players are thanking Sony for making a mistake. That just proves that big corporations can throw stuff around and keep the money rolling. Well, at least they gave a formal apology… more then I would expect from another company.

  • inFAMOUS and LittleBigPlanet….Can i get a What What

  • Thanks but I would like some credit for DLC. The games to choose from aren’t any games I want to play nor would I purchase. Maybe some store credit would be nice.

  • Okay I am sure everyone is ready for the playstation store to come back on. I have taken this time to look at the welcome back program and I think it is good for sony to offer these titles but I wish they would offer more recent games and a larger variety. Some people don’t care about the rating of games but as a father and a gamer I do. Unfortunately I only have a psp go and I can only download games. I already have Little Big Planet which is a fun game so that drops my picks to the three games left. I will get ModNation but I will not get the other two games. I am sure there are gamers who will love Kill Zone but this is not a game I want to play or have my son play down the road. I watched some of the game play video and I am not interested. I also watched game play for Pursuit Force and although this may be fun shooting people in the head not cool. Like I said I am not trying to bad mouth these games but I wish there was more selection especially for all this down time and problems for gamers. I would like to see Sony expand the list of free games and get the playstation store back up. I am ready to buy more games but until it is up I will have to sit idle.

  • hey sony, I am not Continental USA, I am in Puerto Rico, since Í have to use the North American PS3 and network, Do I quelify for the Welcome Back Program?

  • What is up with all the damn complainers on here, some people are never happy are they!

PSN Store will be up very soon, in both the US & the UL/EU, have some patience, the free games are just that, free games, some will have them some will not, could the selection be wider, yes, is one month of Plus worth much, not really no, but come on everyone, give it a rest already will ya!

  • This is unacceptable as far as game selection goes. Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t these games like 2 years + old? laughable! For a 177 million dollar loss, Sony is not doing a good job of pleasing the customers.

  • Really guys? You are that [DELETED], going around and complaning that “The game selection isn’t good enough? You guys are a bunch of ungrateful [DELETED]. Sony has just offered us access to PlayStation+, AND two free games. That’s worth 50-80 dollars a person, and there are a ton of users. So settle the [DELETED] down.

  • Can’t believe how many people got swayed by this. Sony allows all of your information to be STOLEN!, gives you a few crappy games (that if you didn’t already have you probably would never get), and that makes everything alright? They shouldn’t have waited two weeks after the incident to inform everyone of the truth instead they LIED stating the service was down for maintenance. At the very least Sony should have posted a full apology directly to the gamer on the whats new bulletin. They should’ve added a choice to receive a NEW game not some antiquated software or services people don’t really want. It just seems as though Sony does not care for their customers as long as they can stated “well we gave people an option of free services” when really all they want is to reclaim lost profits due to their own negligence and lack of sufficient security protocols. This was a true fail on behalf of Sony that resulted is a major lost of funds whereas they are attempting to get people to forget they messed up. Sort of like punching a child then giving them a lollipop to shut up.

Well this is pretty useless considering I already own all those games. Way to make me feel “appreciated.”

I agree with you what about people who already own or dont want those games im pretty sure most people will appreciate something like map packs or add-ons for games they already own..,, Give users a choice… they chose playstation over xbox or wii… show us that you actually care.

  • 2. That humongous problem aside, there was a little under a month of NO online play, meaning that the primary reason for purchasing a game system nowadays had been completely thrown out the window, so even if the PSN is free to play on that does not exempt them from the fact that there was a month of no play time for a majority of those dedicated users who do play online and that spent three hundred on a system in combination with over one hundred and twenty dollars more on at least two online games of their choosing only to have it gone for an entire month along with their billing information still got a big kick in the booty.

  • 3. Sony believes that they can compensate those players who bought a large portion of the above lists at full price on launch based on THEIR interests at the time after a detrimental event that could compromise a person’s entire life and also that basically defeated the purpose of the system for a month. Tacked onto that whole gimmick, half the list is comprised of games that have a sequel already or one that is extremely close to release. If you go to Sony’s blog homepage, they are hyping up InFamous 2 more than an Asian prostitute pushes her five dollar charge for her to “love you long time”. The other half of the list is haphazard racing games and arcade style shooters with some pretty graphics to buffer their shine, one of which has already been released free before this entire incident.

  • 4. Thirty months of PS+ for non-prior subscribers translates to an advertisement for those non-prior subscribers to continue after the thirty day trial so Sony can try and bring back in the money they lost. Sixty days for those who had already subscribed only translates to ONE free month since the first thirty are just a dampener for the month the network was down. So, basically, what I can surmise from this is that you loyal PS+ users are getting placed on the same lowly tier as the non-subscribers who are going to be crowding the store for a month as money fodder for Sony.

  • 5. We’re getting movies for a weekend? That they get to decide on? If I wanted that, I would use Netflix. Which I do. I don’t even see a reason to go into the whole “music store thing”. Get iTunes, people, seriously. Limewire would be my next recommendation if it hadn’t gotten shut down.

    6. 100 free items on Home? More reason for “family” members and no lifers to masturbate to one another’s characters for a while until they fall back into the vicious cycle of buying virtual items that don’t contribute anything to their life accept the ability for them to say that their avatar has really great fashion sense.

  • The Verdict: [First thing, stop with the, “Oh, some people are never satisfied comments.” That’s like me generalizing all of you brown-nosers by saying something along the lines of, “Oh, some people never know when to wipe the feces off of their septum.”] Get off your knees people. Sony will live. You think this killed them? No, it stirred the customer-savvy beehive, but Sony doesn’t just dawdle around in their game system branch. Computers, entertainment systems, T.V.’s. Hell, their fans here in the gaming department aren’t exactly top priority by any means. What are you getting? Casual gamers get jipped by receiving two outdated games with a current shelf price of about five dollars while true users, who I mind you do NOT have to be PS+ subscribed, get one month of Sony trying to milk the money it lost back out of the tits of its community. Let it be noted that the warm, money hungry arms of Microsoft are always open up to any of you nay-sayers who are tired of Sony’s crap. We also have a party chat system. Think about it. ;]

  • [And, lastly, apologies for any typos. Ranting is always a messy process. LIKE DOIN’ YOUR MUM. Also, my number one bullet accidentally got deleted, so cheers to missing out on another reason why this entire package is vain.]

  • This is almost a slap in the face… games most people already have or have no interest in, an extension of a service we’re already paying for, free movies for two whole days (bet most of ya didn’t catch that one), and a service I don’t use. I have Netflix, so what exactly do I need with free movies. I don’t need anymore music channels. What I have is a PS3 system that’s been offline for quite a while now. How about giving Everyone something they can actually use… like free DLC content to add onto the game of their choice, it’s our gaming that’s been absent, why not let the customers pick where they want their compensations to go. I bought this sytem for one game (Mortal Kombat) the next day PSN is out, so I’m just now able to play it online. How about I get to add the first batch of MK add-ons free of charge.

  • First, Awesome!! I don’t have any of these games. However, I read several posts by players who already have some or all of them and were disappointed that this part of the package doesn’t apply to them.
I thought about it, and I have a suggestion. Offer an “equal or lesser value” option for players who already have all the games on this list. Then they will feel as appreciated as the rest of us, and you can set it up so it doesn’t cost you(Sony) any extra.Or a one-time store credit they can use for anything in the Store.

  • cool i wish kill zone 2 would have been one of the free ones that would have made for a good dl

  • Sony, I believe your “Welcome Back” program is well-meaning but flawed. Many PS3 owners have all 5 of the game selections that you’re offering as free downloads. My suggestion is that Sony send’s email vouchers for 2 free game downloads of THE GAMERS CHOICE (excluding titles that dropped on or around the time of the network going down) to the people affected by the outage. You were half way there what with offering the 2 free titles, Sony…Now its time for you to follow through and give US the choice of games we want. Don’t you think you owe it to us?

  • alright Sony, it felt like a long time. wow, you guys @Sony are the best and to keep us entertain. holly [DELETED], i wasn’t expecting alot, thou every single person that works @Sony are great. ;) you guys have surely made us really happy with the Welcoming Back. :D

  • question… for the PSP games download… can I download these games via PS3 and install in my PSP instead of downloading it directly to my PSP? my WiFi is currently busted and won’t be able to download using my PSP…

  • Yeah Great ONLY NORTH AMERICA GETS IT EH? Wat about aus?? do they get it but yeah im really glad about psn being back up

  • alot of ppl r complaining that alot of ppl have the titles listed sony did’nt have to give us nothing . alot of us dont have those titles and i happen to be 1 of them so thank you sony dead nation and infamous are going to be tight. i have 34 games a couple more will be great plus back to the future eps 3&4 plus im happy that online game play is avaliable again thank you sony keep up the good work also cant wait for the ps4 !

  • To all the complainers, Sony didn’t really have to offer anything more than an apology. The games on the list I want, I already have. That’s the way it goes. You can’t make everyone happy. I am sure there are games people were ready to buy before this outage. With the Plus subscription, those games may be available at a discount. Stop looking at the negative all the time. This was a nice jesture from an honorable company that just happened to screw up.

To Upatoi15, Sony is not losing $177 million, they are losing $3.2 BILLION……with a B; between this outage and the earthquake.

  • Any chance of a small PSN credit or something as an alternative? I already own everything on that list I’d be interested to play (even if it was free). Just feeling left out =(

Actually I want to play Stacking!

  • the sony ps3 is the best system out in the world today . in my opinion. also yes i have all three systems and sony ps3 does just about anthing.

  • So PS3 owners get 2 games and PSP owners get 2 games, PSN Plus, etc? If I’m understanding correctly, that hardly seems fair. Honestly, I don’t even want any of those free PS3 games. Can’t I just have 2 $10 PSN games or something?

  • it’s impossible to make everyone happy so just be happy you get anything at all.

  • Is my understanding correct that these games will be made available through the PS store…which isn’t back up yet?

  • I really think you guys should put money in the accounts i’m not saying a lot just some like around $ 40 so people can pick what they want, also you guys should try to get playstation store back up before the black ops escalation map pack comes out or it will probably over heat gust saying and if u need any more ideas i have alot
