We temporarily took down the PSN and Qriocity password reset page. Contrary to some reports, there was no hack involved. In the process of resetting of passwords there was a URL exploit that we have subsequently fixed.
Consumers who haven’t reset their passwords for PSN are still encouraged to do so directly on their PS3. Otherwise, they can continue to do so via the website as soon as we bring that site back up.

PSN are u sure there is no more hacks, then your wrong cause last night when I was playing black ops online my system froze and a popup sayer another user has gotten acces to your account !!! I think the hacker were able to hack again!!!
I’m happy being able to play, of course i too am dieing for the store, but i can wait longer for it, if it helps the security of the whole system!

How are people still able to post on the forums?
Least they have the online multi-player functioning! Wow wat short term memory some folks have, wasnt even a week ago and no-one was able play online at all. Now folks want to complain and make issues or have a poor attitude about Playstation Store. Come on people i think Sony deserves a little slack here. Let Sony do wat they have to do in order to secure & bring all services back to 100%.
For those not thinking clearly remember that Sony has lost & continues to lose a great amount of profit due to this crisis & attack on thier systems. Sony wants to have it’s store back up & running because it generates alot of money. They are making sure all is safe and everyone has changed or updated there passcodes. Trust me they will give back plenty to it’s dedicated user’s for our patience. Least we all have the ability to meet up with friends across several regions to enjoy the vast world of online gaming. Lets be patient & appreciate that we have most of our network functioning. And we ALL know the rest will soon follow.
can you get on psn when your password has already been reset? if you can could you get on a psp?
Sony, got a question, the other day I was playing CoD Black ops Zombies and out of nowhere it froze and logged me out of the game i was in stating that “someone else has logged into this account”, But it did not log me out of the PSN. Was it just a Treyarch issue, or should i need to change my password again?

i think its because if you purchase something off the store, you dont have to purchase it again with that account, but if they were to close the account out because you no longer have a ps3 then thats money you’ve spent being wasted because you’ll just have to purchase it again if you open another account. thats what i think anyways. id be pissed if i bought like 10 games for $60 each only to get rid of my ps3 and lose my account then have to purchase all them again when i get a new one.
