Starting today, PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders in the United States can begin the enrollment process for the identity theft protection program by visiting http://us.playstation.com/news/consumeralerts/identity-theft-protection/. We are also notifying customers of the enrollment landing page via email, which you will receive in your inbox this week.
As previously announced, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have made arrangements with Debix to offer the AllClear ID PLUS identity theft protection program to PlayStation Network and Qriocity customers who are concerned about identity theft following the criminal cyber attack on the network. AllClear ID PLUS is a premium identity protection service that uses advanced technology to deliver alerts to help protect you from identity theft. The service also provides identity theft insurance coverage and hands-on help from expert fraud investigators. Sony has arranged, at no charge to eligible PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders, for twelve months of this service to be provided by Debix to those who choose to enroll.
In order to be eligible, account holders must be residents of the United States with active accounts as of April 20, 2011.
@1245 I feel ya with the lack of udates it makes one believe that they are not close to finishing the job at hand. as far as I have read they will be updating the store with multiple updates a week..so the ones that were already released will be first in line. so if a company like infamous2 says its releasing dlc for june 2nd that means its ready but may not get qued into the store for a week or two behind others. Id say after two weeks when they get caught up dlc should return to regular time frame…as far as the esculation dlc expect that to be a few updates behind as well (could be wrong).
just curious the see how long the store stays up when it comes online with the endless masses downloading at the same time..hopefully there new system can handle the workload

The PlayStation Store might be accessible again as soon as Tuesday, according to a report published today.
Gaming blog Gamasutra says a memo sent from Sony to its game maker partners says May 24 is the date the online store for buying video games and video content will return, unless some problem arises in the meantime.
The letter, from PSN content manager Jack Osorno, reportedly included details of a new game-publishing schedule that would allow Sony to catch up on game releases that were bypassed while the network was offline for more than three weeks.
Sony previously had said only that it aimed to relaunch the store by May 31.
In a comment to gaming site Giant Bomb, Sony spokesman Patrick Seybold said, “We’ve not announced a specific date other than to say we expect to have the service fully restored by the end of the month. Anything other than that is purely speculative.”
The return of the PlayStation Store will complete the relaunch of Sony’s gaming network following a cyberattack last month. After more than 77 million PSN customers’ personal data was compromised, Sony took the network, along with its Qriocity and Sony Online services, offline while it investigated and rebuilt its network security.

Everyone better read the terms that All Clear has. They will charge you after the grace period is over with without any notification. A not so nice welcome back gift guys. Big company like you guys can do a lot better than this. Do you have any idea how many customers you stand to actually lose? I mean seriously? Don’t get me wrong, I have been a loyal sony customer since the very first playstation came out. But I am seriously starting to rethink that loyalty after all this. You guys should have taken these measures way before now, then this would have never happened. But in a way as bad as I hate to say it you kind of had it coming considering you basically own our systems even after we paid out the eye for them.

Okay, so I got the email on Wednesday, went to the link and entered my email. It said 72 hrs. It’s been five days. Just wondering if anybody knew why I’m not getting my code…,

Yeah, I read the Terms of Service, and I’m guessing you actually didn’t. First off, they didn’t ask for any credit card information or other form of payment when I registered. How are they going to charge you at the end of the 12 months if they don’t have the means?
Second, from Section 7 of the TOS: “If a third party has procured the Premium Service on your behalf, your subscription will terminate at the end of the term specified during registration, unless you opt to re-enroll.”
That means at the end of the 12 months, it’s done. No catches. If you don’t re-enroll yourself, it’s over with. I really don’t see how anyone could misinterpret that.
This is nice, although I wasn’t all too concerned in the first place. But I’ll take free.

I have had Mortal Kombat DLs that have collected virtual dust, that I’m not even interested in anymore… Thanks hackers/Sony. I was saddened that I’ve waited two months to redeem the download codes for player skins, themes, avatars for a game that was absolutely killed by the PSN outage… Just airing out my frustration.

For all the ones saying “stop crying about the store!”, people want all the DLC, movies, and games they PAID FOR but haven’t been able to access because it all has to go THROUGH THE STORE. And people have gotten tired real fast of hearing “a few more days”, “a few more days”, next week”, “end of the month”.
And no offense Sony, but you guys would be the last company I’d take advice from in regards to credit protection services. So you can keep your “free year” of that crap because the best protection for me is to make sure you never have my CC details again.
I’ve already switched my pre-order of Duke Nukem as well as the early access demo to PC from PS3 since the early demo granted from buying Borderlands GOTY will most likely be out before Sony gets it’s collective head on straight.
And don’t worry, I won’t be “leaving” PS3 for the Xbox 360, I already have a 360 as well as a gaming PC. What I can do very easily however is make sure you never receive a dime from my enjoyment of the PS3 again.

Is it wrong that they look at us and see $$$$? Microsoft is even worse, its a business/job not a charity. They didn’t have to give us a damn thing for this long delay. Would we be upset, yes but most of the people on here are still. 5 fame titles, not really crappy games, there could of been a lot worse games to choose from. Free movie rentals, 100 free home stuff and free PS plus for a month. For the PS Plus being only used to drag you into signing up for it, thats your fault like I said before its a business. I would never switch to xbox i have maybe 50 to 60 games and i have 3 playstations 2 that work fully as of right now.
