You’ve been requesting it, so for the first time, we’ll be broadcasting the entirety of the PlayStation press conference directly into this Blog. Additionally, we’re setting up a mini-studio in the PlayStation booth, and we’ll be bringing in developers while the show floor is open for interviews, live demos and to answer your questions via a built-in chat module. It all starts right here on June 6th.
UPDATE: We’ve got several hundred more entries than we’ve got spots open, so we’re cutting off the entries now. We’ll grade the papers over the next few days and contact winners by email. Thanks for entering!
Since this is an LA event, we’d still like to do something for some of our Southern California fans. Because our press conference is already at capacity, we unfortunately won’t be able to get anyone into building (again, everyone can watch the livestream right here). However, we were able to secure over one hundred 3-day passes to the E3 Expo, where attendees can visit our booth and go hands-on with NGP and our stellar PS3 lineup as a guest of PlayStation.
We want to make sure only the biggest local PlayStation fans get in, so instead of having folks queue up in the unpredictable Spring weather (as has been the case in past years), we’ve created a web quiz you can take from the comfort of [wherever you are sitting].
Here are a few things to note:
- E3 takes place from June 7-9th at the Los Angeles Convention Center, so you’ll obviously need to be in SoCal during that time to attend. Don’t bother taking the quiz if you won’t be there!
- You must be 18 or older to attend E3 – that’s their rule! Your ID will be checked when you go to pick up your badge, so if you’re under 18… don’t bother taking the quiz!
- E3 badges are non-transferable, so if you’re not sure if you’re going to be able to attend… don’t bother taking the quiz!
- The information we’re asking for (name & email address only) is required for all attendees by the ESA, who run the E3 Expo. We won’t ask for any additional info!
- We’ll grade quizzes and select winners by late next week, and contact winners via email with information on how to pick up your passes.

Jeff, I know that you guys don’t have any updates on the PlayStation Store, but can you give me at least a timeline of when it will be back up? I’m trying to be patient but now I just can’t handle it, I need to download demos, try new games, and receive my Crysis 2 limited edition DLC. Thank you.
Now on a lighter note…I traded my BlOps in for L.A. Noire and all i got to say iss that it was worth it lol Pretty damn good game if i must say :)

before E3 start with ps store and give me something real like nhl 12 not an old game whoo i already finish or a dummy game wow a choice anyway i still canot play cause my nhl pass code is wanted and i have to enter it but they cant accept cause guess what …….. its a code for the ps store so all player on nhl whoo have the same problem ad to make another account with a noob without xp so thats amazing and worst of this when something happen you dont know by sony you know it by other gamer before cutting the psn can you send a msg an advise or something same thing before an update send a msg thats easy couple words and people will know what happen is that too hard
I think the blogs are automated and someone goes in and does a few replies. Not to mention I think some of the people causing trouble may have more then one account.
And I don’t think I could teach anger management because trust me if you knew what I would really love to say to people at times you would think I needed it myself.
i recieved my activation code for the identity theft protection! Thank you Sony! Now if we could get the store up & running we’d be back to normal!

Something I’ve wondered if other people have thought about. With Sony giving the month free for the plus program doesn’t it make sense to do that from a buisness prospective? You get people who have never used it and if they like it they continue to use it,so they would be making up for lost revenue.

I know that it’s been said that when an update for the store is available it will be posted.
But it’s also been said that it will be back up at the end of the month.
There’s two days left until the end of the month without an update in sight.
I’m concerned because before the outage happened I purchased a couple of PS Store points cards. Some for me and some family members.
It sucks because we all have some games we had wanted to download from the store, and unfortunately my brother in law has now switched back to his ps3 because of not being able to properly utilize the network features.
I’m still sticking with sony, but it would have been nice with at least an update on if you don’t expect the store up by the end of may, and also maybe on how the whole customer appreciation program will work and when things like the 30 days of playstation plus will start, and what kinds of aesthetic changes to the store there maybe.
Love all the other updates, you guys get so in depth with what’s going on with the upcoming games. It would just be nice if you could give us more to go on for the store. Especially for those of us who have invested money into it via points cards, or some of those who have purchased online games they can’t activate like DC universe online.
I know it’s frustrating seeing us all asking – When’s the store back up? Why isn’t the store back up? How long till we see the store again? BLAH BLAH BLAGH. But at the same time there are a few questions that could be answered for those of us who are worried about the store because it would help us have better peace of mind, and maybe even be able to handle it better.

I know that everyone is excited and all but I have a question. About an hour ago I could not login into the network through the PC. What was the problem? was there regular maitaince or does it have to do with the PSN store?

It’s great that we can play online and all but i have a problem. I deleted my user before I new that there was an outage and i lost all my World at War, Modern warfare 2, and Black ops mapacks. So I just want to know a general time when the playstation store will be back up.
