Don’t let the door hit me on the way out huh? You sure are funny. You keep throwing your money down an open mine shaft and smiling. I have better things to do with my time. Like actually get what I have paid for. You can keep your lips connected to the bottom of Sony’s taint for all I care, just don’t come crying when Sony finally blows a hot one right in your face. You will be wishing you went for the rusty fish hook instead.

  • I’ve heard this before.

  • oops i mean today after maintenance.

  • never mind people are still whining like a bunch of spoiled idiotic children…..*shakes head*

  • @289 seriously why do you keep posting if your done with Sony and only keeping your PS3 to play Blu-Rays? Stick a sock in it and get over yourself

  • If it doesn’t bother ya the store is down Douglas, why post or even read the page? Troll about a little tonight see if you can start a fight on the PS blog. You one bad mofo. Please don’t get come after me I’m busy trying to get a life its just so hard without all the goodies I PAID for you halfwit monkey.

  • I love how 90% of the people have no idea what kind of work and the amount of hours the techs have to put in to get these services up…I’d be surprised if they knew anything about I.T.

  • I will post til I’m done. Why don’t you kids go spend some more money on Sony products.

  • Don’t know IT huh? I must say you seem like an M.I.T. graduate. That’s right you probably have no idea what it takes so you think no one else does. FOOL.

  • Thank the light! All the money I earned from finishing my Bachelor’s Degree will come in handy! wooT! Thanks sony!

  • I think 296 needs to change his Tampon. Anyway Im gonna get off here before 296’S stupidity gives me a massive headache and I’m gonna play Final Fantasy 7. Ya’ll have a good night and be good

  • To those who are annoyed, it was most likely a marker, complain if it’s not up till July, you had the patience to wait a month, what’s a few more days? I am the most impatient person ever and I faithfully waited and waited with complaining, so seriously, look for work or bone up on exams instead of petty complaints about the store

  • @Null_Shock…I agree w/you on the “I.T” comment lol I have a B.A. in Computer Information Systems doing Networking and Security so yea i know whats involved in it :)

  • divinasdaemon I have a lot of stuff I paid for but I have something called patience and understanding. I know how much work goes into restoring networks from scratch. …no where near this scale but still I’ve had month long projects on a business level…I can only imagine what it is like on a global scale. You are acting like a @$$. So just chill out the store will be up this week and we can all get our DLC and play our games and be friendly again….even if we are shooting each other in the head.

  • Without* my grammar isn’t good at all

  • hey i paid for stuff i can’t use right now either, yes it bothers me the store is down and yes i will continue to read the blogs until the store is up. no i’m not trying to start a fight it bothers me that so many people don’t have a life and spend their time complaining about stuff they can’t control. the store will up when its up. complaining about it wont bring it back any faster and no i wont come after you but im not gonna sink so low as to call you names, im not 9

  • awesome infamous here i come!!!!

  • @294 It’s not the customer’s job to be “understanding” and sympathetic towards the self-inflicted problems Sony’s going through right now. I have a relative that works for one of the premier back-up and security companies in the world. I asked him how long it would take his company to restore their online store if something like the PSN hack happened them them (it wouldn’t, but hypothetically). His response was that they have so many redundancies that the store AT WORST would be restored in an hour, if it was affected at all. That’s called having your **** in order, something Sony is obviously completely incompetent at doing themselves.

I don’t care about Sony’s problems. Their problems are not supposed to be MY problems. It’s not my role as a customer to care about their hardships, how “hard” it is to get their systems back up and running. If they knew what they were doing, everything would have been fully restored by now and we wouldn’t have spent over a month with little but silence out of Sony.

  • one more week woohoo this is awesome! *end of sarcasm*

  • <— just so happens, I'm a tech analyst and programmer. i've dealt with similar issues (but obviously not on such a large scale). it's a big fix; i just wish they wouldn't announce difficult target dates and get peoples' hopes up.

  • Thank u Nullshock, for proving that there are patient ppl in the world who grasp the severity of this situation

  • And we as consumers of this product we paid for have a right to complain when they can’t keep their S**t together. I never start attacking people until they attack me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. And my opinion like many others on here (hence so many posts on threads of this nature) is that Sony has dropped the ball big time, and could care less that we the consumer are out all that money til they get around to fixing the problem. Which has again been pushed out.

  • Thank you Broodwars

  • “WE WILL BE RESTORING THE SERVICE BY THE END OF THE WEEK EXCLUDING HONG KONG JAPAN AND SOUTH KOREA” .. the heck with that?!

  • missing the deadling again sony? (i guess it could still be tomorrow but…) oh well, by saturday is fine.

not like ill ever get an answer, seems like anything after page 2 on these blogs is completely ignored by you guys, and this one has nothing even there. anyway, you guys gonna get honest hearts up right away instead of on the 4th update or is there not enough demand for it?

  • Does anyone in this blog work in the IT industry? If you do you should understand what the sony techs are dealing with. Most of us Business level Network Admins would flip if we had to deal with the crap sonys techs are dealing with…..I wish more people would understand there would be less complaining on the blog and maybe less stupidity.

  • You can truly tell the difference between the adults and children on this blog space. As well as the adults who choose to act like children. Stop arguing on the forums! This is excellent news! The store will be up in a matter of days. Just bide your time with online games until then; soon enough, we will all get the chance to redeem our codes and purchase from the PS store. Or, if you’re like me, enjoy some trophy getting and classic games!

  • The store opens up on my B Day!! AWESOME, I can’t wait to get my welcome back games… Free games for my B DAY… too bad it had to be through a hack that they are giving away games, but what can you do??

  • Well Douglas I feel like I’m a 10 yr old who got his bike taken away that I paid for out of my paper delivery money and I’m pissed. I have plenty of a life, I got bored and saw a blog about this and thought wow another week, you gotta be kidding me!

Just as people get mad at the “whiners” the “whiners” get mad at the guys who rush to defend sony’s honor like it was their sister getting knocked up in the back of a chevy pickup on prom night.

    P.S.
it was me that knocked up your sister and brought down the PSN. Hahaha. Suck it Sony

  • Totally agreed, those who don’t know bout I.T. work should not complain hence why I didn’t complain, I know it takes a long time to restore everything and make it more secure

  • I knew Sony wouldn’t let us down.

  • @Ironspore I agree I don’t think they should have given any deadlines things can go wrong all the time in this line of work…and sometimes it takes awhile to recover. @Rachet_R7 I’m a Network Admin I have to have patience or I would end up beating people with their own keyboards…. =/

  • Finally Scorpion’s soul will be MINE!!!

keep up the good work Sony ^_~

  • Why are people cheering and applauding? It was supposed to be back to full functioning 2 1/2 hours ago?

  • Wonder if my $28.00 will still be there?????

  • Sony got hit hard by hackers….no one is defending Sonys “honor” They just understand the situation or are patient.

  • not really. they said be the end of the month mass hole, not by the beginning of the last day of the month. theres still plenty of time to meet their old deadline.

but they probably wont, or they probably wouldnt have posted the new one.

  • @313

I’m sure Sony appreciates you putting us ignorant bumpkins in are place. We should just shut up and listen to what ever information comes out. Making decisions and having opinions is overrated anyway. For some strange reason I want to watch fox news now O_o

  • Also every computer network, every server, every computer is vulnerable to attacks by hackers. There is no such thing as a secure computer as long as it is connected to the Internet. Sony’s fault a little but not entirely they could have had everything up to date and still been hacked.

  • Broodwars had it right. Redundancies should have been in place before hand. This is not our fault it’s Sony’s and their horrible communication in this situation. Also I will throw in my I.T. specs here. I have a degree in Computer Business, went the A+ and Cisco route for my networking. Any questions? and no I don’t know what the ethernet is.

  • divinasdaemon, you’re acting like the stuff you bought on the store is gone forever. everything you purchased will be back when the store gets resotred. im through arguing with you i never meant to start an arguement in the first place you’re the one who took it personally. who cares if you have to wait another week.

  • Excellent, ready to get the Welcome Back package and to play more games on weekends

  • When did I call anyone a bumpkin…stupidity is everywhere though and it cannot be helped. I only meant that I wish more people understood the situation on an IT level. Though I know some people on here no nothing about the field.

  • the real problem on this blog isn’t even Sony, it’s people like Null_Shock who think they represent SONY and have the right to harass customers because they have some industry Insight..

  • Fatjoe I love you. If I weren’t getting married I would petition whatever state you live in for the us to get married. All kidding aside I couldn’t have said it better my self. I’m gonna take my ignorant @$$ to bed.

  • I am having a hard time finding where they said they would have the Playstation Store up and running by May 31. What they said in the beginning of the month was: PlayStation chief Kaz Hirai said last Saturday that most services on the PlayStation Network would be restored “within the week,” including online game play for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable; chat functionalities; and the ability to play downloaded movies from PSN and to play unexpired movie rentals through PSN and Qriocity. Hirai said the company HOPED to restore the entire network, including the PlayStation Store and purchasing features, “within the month.” Now I capitalized on the word HOPED which to me means they hope to have it running! I see no date, so if someone can show a link where they said the exact date of May 31 please share it with all of us. And not something you made up!!

  • So this is a polite way of saying “the store might not be coming back tomorrow” right? “Return this Week” means any day of the week from Monday to Friday.

  • Apologies. I’m in very bad mood now.

  • I really hope you fellas have a back up plan if it happens again cause this was ridiculous
