As part of PlayStation Network’s ‘Welcome Back’ Program, PlayStation Home will be offering an enormous package to all players as a way of saying “thank you” to our community for your ongoing support. Today we will begin rolling out the first phase of this customer appreciation program, which will include 100 free items, two personal spaces, and an exclusive game available for all users to download for 30 days. Here’s what we will be giving you (and when):
100 virtual items: The 100 free virtual items package will be available starting today from the Central Plaza kiosk. This huge package includes popular clothing and furniture items and has been made possible thanks to our 3rd Party partners – including Lockwood Publishing, Heavy Water, Codeglue, Konami, Mass Media, Digital Leisure, LOOT, and Hellfire Games.
Two personal spaces: The Dragon’s Lair and the Mansion Garage – a medieval abode based upon Digital Leisure’s classic game and a luxurious, premium personal space never before released to the PlayStation Home community – will be available to all players today from the Central Plaza kiosk.
Ooblag’s Alien Casino: This is an exclusive game that will be published later this month and will be available via the PlayStation Home Navigator. Enter this interstellar casino and try your hand at Ooblag, a multiplayer game of craps…with a twist. Winners will be rewarded by being transformed into extraterrestrial high rollers while losers will be punished severely by Raaksu, the casino’s ruthless Pit Boss. As an added bonus, players that access the Ooblag Alien Casino space will be rewarded an active item version of the Ooblag game that can be played in their personal spaces.

Everyone needs to stop complaining and whining about their issues. If you take th time to read the comments, you’ll be able to see all the solutions posted.
– Getting an error while going to Checkout? Select ONLY the outfit bundle/pack. Most of you people are selecting BOTH the outfit pack/bundle AND the pieces of the outfit, which is already include in the outfit pack/bundle.
– Where’s the kiosk? In Central Plaza by the benches.
– Your downloads in the PlayStation Store disappeared? Go to XMB>Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotion. Next time, read instructions before doing anything. SONY provided clear instructions on how to download the games without error. Don’t make yourself look like a retard.
– Is PlayStation Home for PC? That has to be the most retarded question ever.
– How do you get PlayStation Home? It’s as simple as clicking on the PlayStation Home logo on the XMB.

You’re childish accusations say enough about you! For the rest of you: We got our 2 free games but we cannot get into the store. It doesn’t even say there is an update and that’s supposed to pop up automatically I thought… I am hoping for my boyfriend’s sanity that this is just because of overload, but it really seems like a bug. Sony if you would just communicate with us more often, we would stop sending hate mail! i think some people might just feel they are intitled, not to free stuff, but to being compensated for the possible loss of their actual money, you know for all those un-protected personal details and credit cards sony may have just lost and then not quite told us all about as soon as they maybe should have in the first place.
Im not one of the people complaining about how its all working i got some free things to say sorry for the loss of my details and card details (possibly) and thats nice. But i can also see why many people are getting frustraited, there has been an ever growing catalogue of errors on sonys part, both on not testing this all properly and numerous counts of mis or non – communication.
I mean take the one thing im not clear on for example. This post says we are being offered 100 free items in home. Most people arnt big on home, but i use it a lot so im interested in the download. But i dont have or appear to have the plaza. It could be im mistaken, or that the home location is not available in the uk or europe, in which case does that mean the 100 items are restricted to just some people or countrys.
The very fact i do not know the clear answers to this question means that sony have not been as clear as they could have been about the situation. Im not angry about it but it is aclear proof of fact.
If it is an exclusive thing then that might also be seen as a little unfair to some people not in locations that can get these items. if it is available for everyone, then maybe sony put it somewhere we in the uk cant access by mistake and that should be fixed to deal with any confuddlement or maybe its available in another part of home for us, in which case make it clear where that is.
Also with regards to games, you might think is a free game, why complain, But i do know of someone who has had their card details taken and used since this has happened. Not only have they lost money, but the person with them has hacked into their account on another games console preventing the use of two games consoles online for 4 weeks at least, plus the loss of money. The amount they have had take is of a much higher number the the worth of 4 games (2 ps3 and 2 psp).
Is it wrong for them to complain that even when they do settle for some free content that the system is not working well enough to allow them to download it. multiple times.
You could argue that this is not sonys point, but sony as a company must have realised that these items would 1, be in demand 2, be accessed by a large number of people at once and 3, become in accessable should someone have an error at the worst time. (i know they are not totally inaccessable but some people might have trouble finding where they end up). Sony could have thought to stagger the re-launch of the store over several days across each country. reducing the numbers of people accessing it at once and lowering the amount of possible errors. They also could have kept a link to the 5 free ps3 games 9and 4 psp) available at all times untill the user had downloaded them properly instead of removing it once people selected that they wanted to have the games.
Its the little things that may not seem to matter, but that can go a long way, and its the lack of though about how people may feel about all thats happened that is getting people angry.
I guess my point is not to just shout at someone for being upset over soimething you see as small or selfish when for them it could have had a worse effect.

I cannot even download the patches for Netflix or Little Big Planet right now. I keep on getting error messages when I attempt to do things in the store as well. What is the problem with the network? I am in Ohio USA.
When i was selecting the free game 1 for PS3 an error ocurred now i cant download it no more, the option for Ps3 free game 1 is no more in my welcome back package.
I was having a hard time downloading the costumes but then i stop adding the individual items and just added the Bundle. When i did that i stop getting the error message. Hope that helps.

Can you guys please explain why your tech support will not take any customer service calls for the past 3 days? I have an actual problem I need help with and am covered under warranty and for the third time in 3 weeks you guys turn off accessibility to tech support agents? So are you going to extend the download period. I am still trying to download first free psp game. I either get an error code or that the server has timed out. I have tried for 3 straight days, this is getting annoying. I had to send in my ps3 for repair because it shut down shortly after changing my password, but you stated you have no proof that it is caused by the new software update, but are working hard to find solutions. Might have to join the lawsuit i you guys don’t get your act together.

I tried downloading some of the 100 items on Saturday. I got half to download and the other half I got to the checkout screen and an error popped up and i just gave up. So I went back today to re-download the other half and it said the items where already purchased and when I went to my wardrobe none of those items were there. Does anyone know what I need to do.
I got errors alot trying to get all my stuff.But finally got it all.. I found the best time to collect stuff is between 12am and 2 am CST . Less people online less error messages.. And for those that tried to down load their free games.. You can go into your account management and look at history and download them thru there
BTW if it said free on anything in the whole dang store, plus or home I took it LOL

I think this is an incredibly awesome gift that SONY has been generous enough to give to everyone that waited out the attack and didn’t drop a ton of F-Bombs after the first day. i have to say -SOME- Of the package is great (PS home) but sometimes it will give me an error message & say i cant download it yet! If anyone has an answer as to why this keeps happening message me the answer and say your from the blog.

Thanks Sony with all the erros still going on trying to get the free stuff I used up a ton of my monthly internet usage . The games got to 75 % and then the error happens and the same is happening in PS Home for the 100 free items ….. If I try to get them again it will put me at almost 1/2 my monthly alotment for internet usage with all the crashing still happening … please extend the free stuff longer so I might try again .
