Preface: PLEASE ADD PREMIUM PSP THEMES TO PLAYSTATION PLUS.

That out of the way, I, too, am miffed at the discrepancy between the previously stated braid discount and the one that went live. As said by merely one of the complainers regarding it, even though the base price in the previous post was wrong ($9.99 instead of $14.99), it’s not too much to have expected the game itself to get a price change, with the discount then applied to the new price. Since I already have Braid on PC, I’ll be continuing to hold off on it until it reaches $2.50 or lower.

Outland was slightly on my radar, among the “To Do”s of my Destructoid and Joystiq RSS feeds, but I may “DO WANT” it. Please let us know if the PS+ discount will be applied to it (especially if it will be applied before the avatar offer wears off).

Speaking of avatars, I’d still like to know which avatar comes with the recent Flower bundle, since I already have the soundtrack, and if the avatar’s already on the storefront, I may as well wait it out (got the game itself for my sister this Christmas). And speaking of soundtrack bundles, I’ll be checking out the echochrome ii demo soon, too.

Shame that the Assassin’s Creed sales went off this update. Was waiting until I polished off the full game trial of AC2 before purchasing (somehow, the copy of inFAMOUS I got through the Welcome Back program does not show up as fully purchased in the Store, which is strangely more convenient to use than our download lists, and I didn’t want the same to happen again; similarly, AC2 doesn’t even show up as “bought” as other FGTs do, blocking me from rating it as well; unfortunately, the people I contacted in Support gave me a response that amounts to, “It happens, and there’s nothing we can do to fix it.”), but I have enough on my gaming plate anyway.

Nice that there’s some DDFF avatars now, but I’ll be waiting until there’s a bundle (possibly under the PS+ heading?). Still want Bartz’s Dancer costume, though. Y sew delay?

Overall, this week is pretty weak for PlayStation Plus, and exceedingly weak for PSP.

And just to round out the 250th comment: PLEASE ALLOW US TO SORT OR DOWNLOAD LISTS. Alphabetically, by platform, by type, and even by “Not in the Store Anymore”. Please, give us the options to make navigating to our content easier.

Well, dammit, why didn’t it occur to me in the last, compulsory post?

Thank You For Sorting Out Sales From Price Changes In The Store. Not only that, but you categorized the percentages of the discounts; nice touch. Gotta throw a criticism at the redundancy of listing a category’s games after the category, though. Y’ go into the 50% Discount section, come back out, then scroll through the same titles before getting to the next section…which you then pass over, because everything in that section is already what’s next on the current screen.

Does anybody here do ANYthing but complain? This was a very good update. The pricing complaints for Outland and Braid are somewhat justified I suppose, but you guys are freaking out over what? $2.00 and $1.75 respectively. The Braid announcement was obviously a mistake, and of course Ubisoft/Housemarque don’t want to give their 9.99 game (which is easily worth $15 and already a steal, btw) away to EVERYbody for 7.99.When that agreement was made 2 months ago, the discount would have applied to a limited number of paying customers. You can’t expect them to shoot themselves in the foot and give it to Wveryone on PSN at that price. Quit whining. And based on updates so far since the outage, it was made very clear that Outland would be in this update, which pretty much guarantees we won’t see Beyond Good and Evil on the same day, so calm down. I swear some of you guys are going out of your way to find things to complain about.

The problem is that they ADVERTISED these prices.
Red Johnson’s Chronicles
Braid
Outland
All games that I wanted to buy that they didn’t honor the previously announced sale prices. They also announced a Plus discount on Beyond Good & Evil HD which they, most likely, won’t honor. The $2, $3, $4 differences add up. They’re also seriously lagging behind on releasing stuff that should have been released already. Spreading it out over several weeks to make their updates APPEAR to be bigger is terrible. Before practices like this, I have NEVER complained about Sony on this Blog and had defended Sony when PSN went down. It’s bad customer service that’s the problem.

@ im_a_pterodactyl

You are a pterodactyl complaining about the complainers. Take your own advice and “quit whining”

It is NOT about $2.00, it is about the principle of stating an original price $2.50, on two occations (last week coming soon, and originally on THIS posting), and then retracting and changing that.

Anytime any other retailer messes up on ADVERTISED prices, they honor that mistake. Sony just does a Jedi mind trick on you, hopes you forget it ever happened, and never speaks of it again.

I don’t expect you to understand because you are just a pterodactyl, maybe when you evolve?

@kidcommando

Many retailers do honor their price mistakes, some do not and at least publicize their mistake on the pricing. Often in stores I see a disclaimer that a certain item was mistakenly priced and their are sorry for the inconvenience. Sony can’t even bother with this during the edit of the post with a quick “We are sorry for the typo on the price for Braid the correct price is $3.75″.

Sony has always had horrible communication with the store in the US. They need to seriously hire somebody only for the store. It boggles the mind that post after post go unanswered. You setup the blog to make a community and communicate to your customers, but you don’t bother to tell them anything.

I think the intrusion would have showed you that you clearly lack communication skills.

Ya I was not whining I’m not five. I’m just stating that I the game was advertised at that price for over a week. I just want them to do there jobs and make sure the blog get’s it right. I also do understand why SCEA would not lower the price over a silly mistake. But I was coming at it from a retail prospective that in most stores will honer the wrong price listed. But I do think it is really unprofessional that someone did not come out and say sorry. That’s all it takes I have a hard time respecting a company that does not have the honor to fess up to its mistakes. Having said that I’m not a hater of PlayStation or the store I love them both. I think the PlayStation stores Welcome back deal was really good content.

I picked up Assassin’s Creed 2 with all the DLC for 9.99. And despite the Braid incident I still picked it up. It’s not the stores fault or the developer of the game. (which by the way did not need to agree with the PS + offer) This falls on the Blog as it was there mistake. Having said all this all you guys know that Sony will not effect a change of the price to the previously advertised price on this blog. And the folks at the blog I’m sure have no say in that. So if you want Braid pick it up because its a great game and the fine folks how worked on this game are just asking for peanuts for it. Make sure you always place the blame squarely on those responsible.

Where’s Beyond Good & Evil HD?!?!?!?! XBox360 has had it for MONTHS now! It was supposed to be on Playstation Store right around when the outage happened. So… where the heck is it? I heard it’s out on Europe’s Playstation Store. I know I’m not the only American who’s dying to purchase and play this great title. Please, can someone shed some light on this!
