Grace Chen's Avatar + Posted by Grace Chen on Jun 21, 2011 // Sr. Director, PlayStation Store

Here is the weekly PlayStation Store update:

It’s the first day of summer and the PlayStation Store has some great updates for everyone today. More “Welcome Back” offers from EA are available in PlayStation Plus, and they include great discounts for 3 on 3 NHL Arcade, Madden NFL Arcade and The Masters Eagle Pack for Tiger Woods 2012. Alien Zombie Mega Death, available for $7.99, is the new PS3 downloadable game this week. And for those of you with PlayStation Move and/or a 3D-enabled television, you’ll want to try the Virtua Tennis 4 demo (which supports both Move and 3D!). There’s tons of great add-ons to your favorite PS3 games, including DLC for Marvel vs Capcom 3, L.A. Noire, Killzone 3, Rock Band 3 and more.

As a reminder, there are less than two weeks left to get the Welcome Back offers of the free PS3 and PSP games and free 30-day access to PlayStation Plus. Visit the PlayStation Store today!

Can we expect Journey or From Dust any time soon? I thought those were supposed to be released around this time of June…

You guys need to give better detail:
Yoostar 2: various scenes ($1.99 – $6.99) (x13)
Various scenes from movies.
File size: 64 MB – 595 MB

“Various scenes from movies”…..unacceptable and there are others too that are pretty rough. Just tell us the whole shebang……its what we have come to expect!

Ok update this week. KZ3 has too many map packs considering its only been out 4 months. Sony you guys tripped and fell with the PSN outage then stood back up with welcome back but now you can limp for the rest of the race you have to start running again!! My suggestion: release PS2 games for download on PS3 since many systems are no longer backwards compatible! I would definitely spend some cash on San Andreas, the Jack and Daxter Series, Classic Ratchet and Clanks, or some Kingdom Hearts!!!

one of the worst store updates… The USA PSstore is always the worst one. JP, and EU’s get waaay better content, and get it faster then us. Pretty crappy.

365

+ Kikowz on June 22nd, 2011 at 10:34 am said:

the people here complain SO MUCH…I mean, wtf? you want early updates, good games, discounts EVERY WEEK? that’s kinda impossible…the PSN is free for all, its not that you are paying for a service and is being cheated! if your game is not on the store, just WAIT another week and leave the comments for those with real questions or errors from the store. ps – I’m a ps plus member

For those asking about the Sonic bundle, I went to the EU PlayStation blog and they actually describe what it is and when it is released.

“Speaking of Sonic, the blue one celebrates his 20th Anniversary tomorrow and to celebrate our pals at SEGA are bringing you a great deal on Sonic content with the 20th Anniversary bundle – Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 4 Episode 1, Sonic Adventure (and DX add-on), and the Sonic 4 dynamic theme are all available at a reduced bundle price for only 20 days, so if you’re a lover of the speedy little hedgehog then nab it while you can.”

Sonic the Hedgehog 20th Anniversary Bundle (£13.99/€17.99) Available from 23rd June

So it will be released on the 23rd, not the 21st, like this blog makes it out to be.

@ Kikowz

I’m with you and I rarely have anything negative to say. But 366 and 367 make my point. I had to go there as well to get the scoop. They posted misinformation and have not corrected it or explained it. On the Plus topic, if you and I are paying the same money for plus as the Euros are, why are we getting such an inferior product. The only way to solve my problem is to subscribe to the EU plus next year (09/11 when mine’s up). I subbed on day 1, June 29, 2010 and while they get fewer updates over there, the games they get are far superior (a la “thanks for joining” they got LBP). We get Lilo and Stitch, they get Burnout Paradise. They got Beyond Good and Evil HD & Demo and No More Heroes-Hero’s Paradise (I understand that’s a regional decision). Same money, far inferior product. One man’s opinion.

Wasnt a lot on the update, but I absolutely love Classic Sonic HD 3D remake, holy crap my great childhood memories came flooding back. The 3D was particularly stunning and very very well done! Go devs! A must buy when this comes out for me. Also I had passed on Virtual Tennis 4 due to some bad reviews when first released. But the move + 3d demo has me sold. 1st person view works extremely well, I was worried that the fast movement of 3d when switching 1st person would give me a headache, but surprisingly the devs pulled it of wonderfully. I swear these 3d games get better and better with every new round of games, love it! Thank you Sony for making me believe again.
