One of the advantages of my job is that when I like a game I can contact the developers and learn more about the game’s development background. The following interview is with Djamil Kemal from Lexis Numérique and I hope that you enjoy the interview as much as I enjoyed the game.
Red Johnson’s Chronicles is the most recent addition to PlayStation Store from French indie studio Lexis Numerique.
Djamil Kemal, Lexis Numérique: Adventure games seem to have suffered in the past few years. This can be partly explained by the fact that adventure games were mainly PC focused and that most of the non-core gaming market has moved toward home consoles.

Today we have seven new titles on the store. Let’s start with a new addition to our Batman library: Batman: Arkham City. The Joker took over Arkham a year ago, and Gotham isn’t quite back to normal. An attack by a pair of super-powered twins increases the threat level and triggers Gotham City’s new mayor to call for drastic measures.
For all you Mercy Sparx and Hack/Slash fans, you will be very pleased with the cross-over title Hack Slash and Mercy Sparx! It’s a fun violent romp that brings DDP’s sexiest seductresses together for the first time, and will be sure not to disappoint.
We also have two new Tank Girl titles, Transformers: Devastation, the follow-up to last week’s release, Transformers: Escalation, and many more!
Carnival games are perfect for translation to motion control gaming – the gameplay is very physical, requiring rolling, throwing, flipping and tossing – actions which translate extremely well for the accuracy of the Move controller. However, we’ve taken away the frustration, making the game feel very natural and accessible – something that anyone can pick-up and play. Carnival Island has something for everyone, and is a game that you can enjoy in your living room with up to four friends or family members. It allows side-by-side multiplayer, so you can elbow your family or friends during heated competitive play.
In single-player mode, the game takes the player through a journey of restoring magic to a forgotten carnival. As the player accomplishes challenges and goals, the world comes alive with pets, color and toys. All of the prizes you collect and unlock make a real difference; they add to the atmosphere and the life in the world as it comes alive due to your play.
The key things to remember about LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita:
Producer Pete Smith from SCEE Liverpool has been working on the LittleBigPlanet series since the original, and is therefore well qualified to show off what’s new for LBP Vita.

We’re proud to announce that echochrome ii, the PlayStation Move puzzle game available now for PS3, has been accepted into the Guinness Book of World Records for boasting a single musical track that lasts 75 minutes and 7 seconds — the longest in video game music history!
For a little background on echochrome ii, check out my past blog post. It is a puzzle game that uses light and shadow to create a unique, innovative world for gamers to unravel. Players hold the PlayStation Move motion controller like a flashlight to control the light source in each puzzle stage, searching for hidden “shadow art” and using the shadows to create a path to the goal for their character to traverse.
As most of you heard at the Sony Press Conference kicking off E3, we are proudly bringing the ModNation franchise to the much anticipated PlayStation Vita. It was a great opportunity to share with you all some of the things our team has in store for you.
The team has also made huge strides in creating a ground up effort to make a ModNation title that takes full advantage of the PlayStation Vita features. As mentioned in the Press Conference, this title is not a port of the PSP or PS3 sku’s. On the creation side, we showed that in a matter of seconds how fast and easy it is to create a track by drawing it with your finger. The front touch capability of the PS Vita has kicked the door wide open for more intuitive ways to edit your track and place props to your personal liking. But without a doubt, the single most element that received the most “Oooos and Aaaahs,” was the power of the back touch.
